Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets Posted on February 22, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 2 No.7 Faretti As we draw closer to this year’s Golden Slipper this 2yo race tomorrow is a very important stepping stone. There’s some serious contenders going around in Tassort and McLaren and then we have the Waterhouse/Bott trained Faretti who has been well fancied in Slipper markets off two impressive trial wins. His price will plummet should he win this on debut and the wraps suggest he may well do so. RACE 3 No.9 Star Of The Seas Chris Waller trained galloper who goes around in this race second up from a break tomorrow. The rise from 1000m to 1350m shouldn’t trouble him too much providing we don’t get to a very heavy surface as his closing splits fresh were excellent breaking 22 seconds for his final 400m running his final 200m in 11.16 seconds. Look for him to be rocketing to the line once again. Race 7 No.7 I Am Serious Choisir mare from the Chris Waller yard who resumes tomorrow in the Millie Fox. She’s won and placed from three previous first up attempts and has had the benefit of two lead up trials in which she’s placed on each occasion. The wet conditions will play into her hands tomorrow as the 1300m will feel like further and she’s one runner who won’t be worried by that as her better form stretches right up to 2000m.
