Chris’ Doomben Best Bets Posted on November 24, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 4 No.6 Miss Miao Lightly raced filly who is building a tidy record having won 3 of her 5 starts to date. Her only failure (if you can call it that) was when unplaced behind the smart Bring It Home Pop at the Sunshine Coast when green and untested in the straight. Aided by a perfect Larry Cassidy ride here 3 weeks ago she really let down in the straight racing right away. Expecting more of the same tomorrow, she can win again. RACE 5 No.10 Khalama Ex Kiwi mare who only missed a placing once at her first local campaign registering 2 wins within her 5 starts before being tipped out. She showed a very solid finishing burst particularly early on which will suit in this race as there looks to be plenty of early pace about. She won a recent Doomben trial very easily and looks all set for a big return tomorrow. RACE 8 No.9 Crack Me Up Quality galloper now in his 4yo season who put in a cracking performance first up here recently flashing home along the fence late with 63kg on his back. A winner his last couple of starts before spelling (Sunshine Coast Guineas and Tatt’s Mile beating the older horses) he’s obviously come back in similar form. The step to 1350m looks ideal as does the 9kg weight drop and inside draw.
