Chris’ Ipswich Best Bets Posted on September 22, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No. 3 Someday I really did think we’d well and truly seen the best of this 9yo now with the Desleigh Forster yard however there he was a fortnight back at Doomben winning with similar zip he showed when a much younger horse. He was the only runner in the race to make ground in what was a slick closing sectional running down the leader Dreams Aplenty (since run a gallant 2nd) comfortably. A repeat performance has him winning again. RACE 6 No. 6 Mishani Sleuth Certainly not in the ‘longshot’ category however at better than the current each-way quote he still appears value to me. We’re very likely to see a genuine pace set in this race which will suit him as well as the resuming Our Beebee who is a very promising mare. Just think with race fitness on his side he might have the wood over her this time around. SuperPick - RACE 6 No. 6 Mishani Sleuth - Money Back RACE 7 No. 15 Freddie Fox Trot Lightly raced galloper from the Les Kelly stable on the Gold Coast who has won 2 of his 3 starts to date. He beat Cabeirian two back at Lismore in good fashion and note that runner has won his last couple in impressive style. He ventured to the Gold Coast last start and won with plenty of authority clocking slick time in the process. Just has to find cover from the awkward draw to go very close.
