Greg’s Ascot Preview Posted on November 9, 2016November 10, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper RACE 1 DELANEY makes her racetrack debut on the back of some very impressive trial efforts. She will burn over from her wide gate and is the one to run down. IN THE BOOT led and won her trial well where she beat a subsequent winner. PARIS TEXAN showed a bit of ability in her first campaign and has trialled well. HOBOKEN is speedy and has the race experience. Numbers – 9 – 10 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – DELANEY WIN SuperPick - Delaney - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) RACE 2 JESTAJINGLE put in a slashing effort first-up and the suffered a minor setback. She has trialled well since and this looks her race. TRANSGRESSOR is the class dropper. He should find the front and give a big sight. RAJA SEAT makes his local debut after nearly two years away from the track. He has trialled in nice order for his return. TWELVE ROUNDS usually races well fresh. Numbers – 6 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – JESTAJINGLE WIN RACE 3 SWIFT PLATINUM put on a clinic over this trip two starts back and the found the 1000m and class too slick at Bunbury. This is a big drop in grade and the rise back to this distance is a big plus. He should lead and take a heap of running down. ARCH TYCOON impressed first-up where he started at long odds but was chopped down late by a smart type. From gate 1 he should be on the favourites back and has claims. OMINOUS WARNING got going late at his most recent start. Numbers – 6 – 9 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – SWIFT PLATINUM AND ARCH TYCOON RACE 4 RISING SEA came off a 4 week break last start where he ran a strong second to the smart Humanity. He should improve off that run and go very close. GEIGER GEM drops sharply in class and Jarrad Noske appears to have taken the ride over Rising Sea. He should get a lovely run from gate 2. LORD LUDLOW can lead or box seat from gate 1. SUNSET PETE is yet to win a race but has shown enough to suggest he will be competitive. Numbers – 3 – 4 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – RISING SEA AND GEIGER GEM RACE 5 FIRST AFFAIR put in an incredible performance at Northam. She was knocked from pillar to post but was still able to score in a strong fashion. The increase to 1500m should suit and there does appear some genuine tempo in the race which will suit her pattern. JASPARA has been in career best form in his last few starts. FORTY FOUR RED comes off an impressive win at Northam. He can sit on the speed and give a big sight. HINCHINBEEL next best. Numbers – 8 – 4 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – FIRST AFFAIR AND JASPARA RACE 6 PERSIAN PRINCESS did enough first-up. She settled at the rear over 1200m and made some late ground. The increase to 1400m looks ideal and she has drawn to settle much closer. She was a second-up winner over this trip last campaign as well QUEEN’S PARADE showed good ability last campaign and was asked for little in a recent trial. REGAL ROUGE has first-four claims. LOLONG will be working home strongly. Numbers – 11 –12 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – PERSIAN PRINCESS WIN RACE 7 HAY MAGIC finally cracked it for overdue win last start. She did plenty wrong but was still too smart. Jarrad Noske goes on and she has drawn to get a soft run. She can give this a big shake a nice prices. PRNCESS JASMAN is flying. She’ll take plenty of holding out. BIG RED COSTA will lead and give a sight. TOPPA DAWOZZA ran well first-up. Numbers – 7 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – HAY MAGIC AND PRINCESS JASMAN QUADDIE RACE 4 – 2, 3, 4 RACE 5 – 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 RACE 6 – 4, 7, 11, 12 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 4, 7
