Greg’s Bunbury Tips Posted on October 7, 2016October 7, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper RACE 1 RECOILED has been banging on the door all preparation and he gets his chance for a much deserved win in this 1100m sprint. If he can begin well and settle in front of a few in running he’ll be hard to hold out. KING RIVER looks the clear danger. He is blessed with a big finish. FURIOUS DAME looks the leader. She was just edged out late last week. POP HERO will get a soft run and can finish in the first-four. Numbers – 5 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – RECOILED WIN RACE 2 SCALES OF JUSTICE looks a class above these. He was scratched from the Birthday Stakes last week to be saved for this assignment. Harvey on and he takes a stack of beating. COMING BACK has ability and has trialled well. STABLE SECRET will get a soft run from gate 1. He impressed last start. CHASING CHAOS will settle on the speed and keep plugging away. Numbers – 4 – 6 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – SCALES OF JUSTICE WIN RACE 3 FOREVER DIAMONDS produced a career best performance last start when she settled at the rear and was able to storm clear under a hold. The only query is whether she is looking for further than 1200m but if she is within striking distance on straightening she takes a stack of holding out. KRAKKA VISION has ability and was a big fresh winner at this track last preparation. PINZU has ability and will get a soft run from gate 1. ONE SHORT takes on the older after a freshen-up. He’s shown above average ability in his short career to date. Numbers – 4 – 10 – 3- 12 Suggested Bet – FOREVER DIAMONDS WIN RACE 4 ROYAL SUPREME looks well placed in this moderate 1 metro win race. He attacked the line late at his most recent outing which was in a stronger race than this. With normal racing luck he can get over top of these. RIPPER RIO impressed when resuming at Northam. He hadn’t trialled indicating he improves off that run and will appreciate the rise to 1400m. BIG CAROLINE will settle on the speed and with Harvey on she has claims again. BOMBER BAY will be doing his best work late. Numbers – 1 – 5 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – ROYAL SUPREME SAVE RIPPER RIO RACE 5 Wide open start to the quaddie. HINCHINBEEL has been in terrific form this campaign. He can find the front and give a big sight again. O’REILLY’S CRUMPET took out the Toodyay Cup last start and prior to that was close up behind Hinchinbeel. PRYING TOM is a horse coming through the grades. POLITICS will settle at the rear and finish powerfully. Numbers – 4 – 12 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – HINCHINBEEL AND O’REILLY’S CRUMPET RACE 6 CHARLESTOWN beat a similar field with relative ease last start. He’ll get every chance in running again from a good draw and W Pike piloting. He looks one of the better bets on the card. MY MAGIC MISS didn’t get the best of luck in the Kalgoorlie Cup when tramping wide throughout. She can improve back on her home circuit. VERDELLO BLUE can lead and give a sight. ALREADY FAMOUS will appreciate the step up in trip. Numbers – 4 – 11 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet SuperPick - CHARLESTOWN - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) RACE 7 Outstanding line-up of three-year-olds for this $100,000 feature sprint. SAUL’S SPECIAL showed plenty of potential in his three juvenile starts. He was asked for little in a recent trial and if he can begin well and settle behind the leading pack he has the necessary powerful late burst to get over the top of these. SWIFT PLATINUM produced a career best performance last start when leading all the way in midweek grade over 1200m. The blinkers really switched him on. THE RIVER is all class and has claims despite the 59kg impost. SWEET ORA next best. Numbers – 2 – 6 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – SAUL’S SPECIAL AND SWIFT PLATINUM RACE 8 Very competitive finish the day. CHOCOLATE HOLIC has been in super form all campaign. With clear room he’ll take some holding out. HEART STARTER is a very promising type. Pike rides and if he gets any luck from his wide draw he goes close. INFATHUATED won well last week. This is harder but he drops in weight and should get a nice run just behind the speed. OUTLAW PETE should zip home late. Numbers – 11 – 14 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – CHOCOLATE HOLIC AND HEART STARTER QUADDIE RACE 5 – 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 RACE 6 – 4, 11 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 RACE 8 – 11, 14 Bet Now!
