Spain only need to draw to win Group E and Croatia need a draw to join them in the final 16.  However Croatia can overtake Spain with a win in this matchup, however they will be looking in the rear view mirror. A loss would leave them susceptible to being overtaken by the Czech Republic who play Turkey.

Luka Modric is the big out here for Croatia.  He is their star man with over 93 International Caps and 12 goals. Modric is the play maker for Croatia and has been in solid form in this tournament, having scored in their first round win over Turkey 1-0.

Alvaro Morata scored twice when Spain defeated Turkey 3-0. This followed their 1-0 win over Czech Republic where Gerard Pique scored in the 86th minute.

Vincente del Bosque the Spanish Manager has stated that he wants to win this match, will not flirt with their current form and can smell blood in the water with Modric out of the side.

Croatia are reeling following their draw with Czech Republic after leading 2-0 with early goals to Ivan Perisic and Ivan Rakitic.  The game interruption from Croatian fans certainly didn’t help their cause and it was a 93rd minute penalty that drew the game at 2-2.

Playing for a draw is not the Croatian way and with Spain going for the win expect this match to produce a result.
