Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on August 30, 2022August 30, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 With the forecast rain, it is likely the track will race in the heavy range. Some good form likely to emerge from this race. BONHEUR was competitive in some good 2yo races and has trialled for her return. CUSTODIAN has been jumping out well and wasn’t disgraced in the Black Opal on debut. WALTZ ON BY trialled well before a luckless first up run. YAKA ISHI resumes gelded and has jumped out nicely as has DESIAH. Selections: 10,3,13,9 Suggested Bet: Bonhuer each way Race 2 MOKO was competitive in some decent 2yo races and has been jumping out ok for a horse resuming at 1400m. DISTURBIA has shown talent in her two runs to date and has had a quiet jumpout between runs. FOXY CLEOPATRA looked good in that same jumpout. RUNAWAY BELLE will strip fitter for a solid first up run. AMEERATI will be at peak fitness. Selections: 8,5,3,10 Suggested Bet: Moko to win Race 3 BLOWN IN impressed winning last start and looks hard to beat despite the rise in grade. His previous runs behind Grand Impact and El Rocko strengthen his form. DREAM OF VENUS is another impressive last start maiden winner that should appreciate the rise in trip. MISSY LONGPORT has trialled well heavy ground to resume. DON DIEGO resumes with blinkers on and has trialled ok. CAPTAIN ROGERS is fit and won his maiden well last start. Selections: 3,6,7,1 Suggested Bet: Blow In each way Race 4 CYCLONE SALLY is flying and relishing the heavy winter going. Despite having to carry 60kg after the claim, she should take plenty of catching once again. RUSUTSU beat Cyclone Sally home two starts back and continued her good form last start. DEFIANT DIVA has returned well and looks suited stepping up to 1600m. SEONEE and ROSE DIOR will both be approaching peak fitness third up and will be hitting the line strongly. Selections: 1,4,8,3 Suggested Bet: Cyclone Sally to win Race 5 NABOO STAR caught the eye late first up and looks suited by the rise in trip. He’s unknown on heavy ground but his last start on a soft 6 was encouraging. SEB SONG can be a it hit and miss but he’s a winner here and looks well placed this grade. UNUSUAL CULTURE ran well from back in the field last start but is unkown on heavy ground. KISS ME IF YOU CAN might roll across from the wide draw and prove hard to run down. CARBONETTI and DEEL BLASTER have claims. Selections: 6,8,10,2 Suggested Bet: Naboo Star each way Race 6 FEURMOND looked the winner in a similar race last start and J.Kah to ride again is a plus. HOPKINS has been up a long time but had no hope with the race tempo last start and C.Newitt back on should suit. GOLIOTUS backs up quickly after an easy on speed win in an easier race at this trip. HEIR TO THE THRONE has been jumping recently but his prior flat form has him in the mix. PROJECT GUTENBERG looks to get a good run on speed. Selections: 6,3,8,4 Suggested Bet: Feuermond to win Race 7 DAYTONA BAY has plenty of upside and has handled soft ground well. The form around Cardinal Gem and Jimmy The Bear reads good for this. KOOLED is racing in great form and the heavy ground will present no problem. GALLEON is another with plenty of upside and has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. DANAUSTAR has been kept fresh for this and should give a sight on speed. CARLISLE is capable fresh and looks suited kicking off at this trip. Selections: 2,10,1,8 Suggested Bet: Box Quinella/Exacta 1,2,10 Race 8 Tough finish with many horses resuming on heavy ground. INVINCIBLE JET should prove hard to get past third up, at a track and distance he has performed well at previously. JAY GATSBY has little luck last start and looked good winning a jumpout between runs. HESKET has been jumping out well to resume. LOGO LOGIC is one with race fitness who handles the ground. TOBAYSURE looks promising. He’s trialled well but is unknown on heavy ground. Selections: 3,13,5,11 Suggested Bet: Invincible Jet each way Market Market
