Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on March 7, 2023March 10, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 MISTER JONNO closed to race off in impressive style on debut and should relish 1400m. BRAZEN KINGDOM comes through some strong form lines and can make his own luck. SKYWRITER may settle closer from the inside draw. IRISH CRICKETS has been right in the market in all his runs to date and is clsoe to his maiden win. Selections: 3,1,6,5 Suggested Bet: Mister Jonno to win Race 2 HE’S ON FORM doesn’t win out of turn but is racing well and shaping as through 3000m will suit. PRINCE ZIGGY didn’t have much luck last start and has had a good grounding to be tried at this trip. COUNT ZERO will strip fitter, he’s a Jericho winner, so 3000m will be no problem. NOONDAY GUN and FIVE OUNCE have claims. Selections: 5,2,4,1 Suggested Bet: Small bet He’s On Form to win Race 3 EBONY KING has returned in good form and will make his own luck. PROSCENIUM ARCH looks likely to control the speed with Ebony King and will strip fitter for her first up run in much stronger company. CHAMPINSKY ran well behind Ebony King last time. SKINNY DIP comes back in trip but is racing well. STING JET didn’t have much luck last start. Selections: 1,3,8,4 Suggested Bet: Ebony King to win Race 4 BELMIA has a habit of missing the start but with any luck she should prove too strong here. She didn’t have much luck behind the flying Benedetta first up. MARIGNY is buiding a handy record and 1300m looks ok. BRAZEN LADY should get a good run near the speed. VIENNA VIXEN had no excuses last start but that was a strong BM58. ROYAL INVADER and SWISS BABE both won their maidens in good style at their latest runs. Selections: 1,5,3,2 Suggested Bet: Belmia to win Race 5 CIRCLE OF MAGIC was touched off by Miss Middle Park last start and that horse has won again since. LA ROCQUE has been trialling/jumping out well to resume. THE SWOOPER has upside and broke his maiden in dominant fashion last start. LITTLE MISS GUTSAA should get a nice run behind the speed. APEROL BLITZ will be strong late. Selections: 7,2,4,8 Suggested Bet: Circle of Magic each way Race 6 KALIUWAA FALLS covered ground last start and looks suited stepping up to 1500m from a better draw. BOSS QUEEN backs up from a solid run last week and her overall form is strong. SMART ELISSIM is likely to roll forward and give a sight. AWOL beat Kaliuwaa Falls home last start and maps for a similar soft run. BOTANY did enough first up but is likely to be standing them up a start. MY CHERRY ROSE is another that is likely to settle back but be charging home. Selections: 2,4,3,7 Suggested Bet: Kaliuwaa Falls each way Race 7 Tough race. THE CLAIMANT didn’t have much luck behind EDITH last time and both look strong chances again. NATIVE GIRL also comes rhrough that race and had no luck at a crucial stage. HARD SQUEEZE races well here but has a wide draw to overcome. MAX MERCURY, MIXMULTI and FLYING BASIL are among other key chances. Selections: 5,3,16,9 Suggested Bet: The Claimant each way Race 8 There was support for EAGLES CRAG first up and he ran well, he’s sure to have derived benefit from that run. SHOVE OVER is in career best form and looks capable of coping with the rise in grade. FLASH FLOOD is a consistent galloper, capable of taking advantag of a favourable draw. SEONEE had trailled well going into her first up run and looks uited by the rise in distance. ANILLA had no luck last start and has claims in another tough race. Selections: 8,1,4,12 Suggested Bet: Eagles Crag each way Market Market
