Warren Huntly’s Saturday Sandown Preview Posted on May 22, 2025May 22, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 FROSTNIP displayed good speed to win on debut and can roll across from the wide draw and adopt a forward position again. SALUTED is another with an abundance of speed and will prove hard to get past. MISS OLE didn’t have much luck behind MRS IGLESIA at Warrnambool and both have strong claims. Selections: 3,2,7,1 Suggested Bet: Frostsnip each way Race 2 FASUTO should be at peak fitness and didn’t have the best of luck in a stronger race last start. HARRY GOT STYLES may be suited with a quieter ride and coming back to 1000m. CHINQUI looks part of the speed and can give a sight. BIG ME comes through the same race as Fasuto and is right in the game. LOSESOMEWINMORE bounced back to form last time and the stable, now with a base at Flemington, have to be respected when they run in Melbourne. Selections: 1,6,4,2 Suggested Bet: Fasuto each way Race 3 TERILEE broke her maiden in good style on debut and had no luck behind a promising filly last start. SEPHIA was well backed to break her maiden at Warrnambool and looks to have plenty of upside. AHHA AHHA hit the line strongly in the same race as Terilee and that form should hold up. LEGACY BAY looks suited stepping up in distance after an encouraging return. FOERVERINTIME stuck on ok after covering ground last start. Selections: 8,12,9,11 Suggested Bet: Terilee each way Same Race Multi: Terilee (Top 2) + Sephia (Top 4) Race 4 KING OF ENTERPRISE is building a handy record and looks capable of measuring up to this stronger company. SUPERNIMA appreciated a quieter ride last time and 1600m looks ok based on that performance. MUIRFIELD was solid through the line in the same race as Supernima and has a case. SHOCKLETZ is lightly raced with upside, she won an easier race in strong fashion first up and will relish the rise in trip. Selections: 2,4,14,15 Suggested Bet: King Of Enterprise each way Race 5 CHANGING COLOURS appeared to have her chance last time but should be at her top now and looks hard to beat. EXTREME VIRTUE has the wide draw to contend with but ran well first up and is sure to strip fitter. AVEBURY has settled in well to the Freedman stable and gives the impression 1600m will ne ok. UNTIL VALHALLA brings some different form lines from Qld and gets a low draw with a claim. SUBRISING and SUANCES are in the mix. Selections: 11,4,1,5 Suggested Bet: Changing Colours to win Race 6 ARRAN BAY is racing well, he races best when he has clear air around him and may be able to land outside lead. BOLD SOUL did more than enough first up and will appreciate the rise in distance. SABAN has an awkward draw but will be close to peak fitness and stays down in the weights.. AIR ASSAULT comes through the same race as Arran Bay and can make his own luck. ROLLS backs up off a wide run and last week and has backed up successfully previously. Selections: 1,9,11,5 Suggested Bet: Arran Bay each way Race 7 OTAGO resumed from a lengthy break with an eye catching performance and looks hard to beat from the inside draw with that run under his belt. WINDSTORM hasn’t had much luck of late, he’s been freshened and doesn’t look badly treated after the claim. THE SHAPER doesn’t have the upside of Otago but was solid in the same race and gets a claim. If RUAKAKA RAIDER and PERSIAN SPIRIT gain starts, they appear as strong a chance as anything outside Otago. Selections: 15,1,16,17 Suggested Bet: Otago to win Race 8 DASHING was no doubt targeted at the Wangoom first up, but he should strip fitter and will be suited stepping up to 1400m. ACCREDITED brings some strong NSW form and should also appreciate rising to 1400m. VERDAD was a late scr on a deteriorating track last week and has improved his winning strike rate recently. THE OPEN and ELOUYOU are among the other winning chances in a deep race. Selections: 5,10,9,12 Suggested Bet: Dashing each way Race 9 HUGHES covered ground in a key lead up race and is drawn for a more economical run. OH TOO GOOD is a beauty, she’ll strip fitter for an encouraging first up run and is suited stepping up to 1400m. MOLLYNICKERS and SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET come through the same lead up race as Hughes, with Sunshineinmypocket winning the race. There’s a weight swing in favour of Mollynickers and they appear the other key winning hopes. Selections: 14,7,9,4 Suggested Bet: Hughes each way Market Market
