Race 1

GALLANT SON has produced his best form to date first up and has jumped out in typically good style to resume with blinkers off and a nose roll on. LET’SFACETHEMUSIC ran through the line strongly to win impressively first up and blinkers come off after getting a bit keen in the run. MESROUR was strong late over 1000m last time and should appreciate the extra 100m. MOTCOMBS and MYSTIC REIGN are both racing well and could prove hard to get past.

Race 2

ENCHANTED BY has trialled well in Sydney to kick off her second prep and should make her own luck. GIN SPIRIT has been winning impressively in Adelaide and there was merit in her Caulfield run between those victories. ELSA OF ARENDELLE was strong through the line when she balanced up on debut. MILITARY TYCOON has jumped out better than she produced on debut and may have improved into her second campaign.

Race 3

MYTEMPTATION has the inside draw to contend with but it’s hard to overlook his upside and he’s jumped out in great style between runs. DON’T HOPE DO was held up at a crucial stage last time. WOLFY backs up from a luckless run last week, he’ll need all of the 1100m but will be strong late. LEGIO TEN can improve getting back don the straight and gets a tongue tie. PRINZERRO is another that had excuses last start and goes ok down the straight.

Suggested Bet: Mytemptation to win

Race 4

IS IT ME has always shown good ability and seems to have honed his racing skills this prep. FANCIFY didn’t appreciate the horrendous weather conditions that prevailed during her last run and will prove hard to gets past. AZTEC RULER has been racing well and seems suited staying at this trip. AYRTON has a touch of class and has been trialling well.

Suggested Bet: Is It Me to win

Race 5

Even race with no standouts. HEAVENLY CONQUEST gives the impression she’ll relish 1400m, she maps to settle closer and has jumped out well between runs. BRAVE DESIGN worked home well behind an in-form galloper on debut and should appreciate stepping up in distance. VINROCK impressed winning on debut, running strongly through the line at 1200m. ALGORITHMIC brings some strong Sydney form and backs up from a solid run last week.

Suggested Bet: Heavenly Conquest each way

Race 6

MIDDLE EARTH brings some solid overseas form and looked good when ridden with some intent in his most recent jumpout. POST IMPRESSIONIST has been hit and mis since arriving in Australia but has jumped out in good fashion and has been effective first up previously. DUKE DE SESSA has to strip fitter for a strong first up win and is suited by the extra distance. SMOKIN’ ROMANS and YOUNG WERTHER have claims in an even race.

Suggested Bet: Middle Earth each way

Race 7

Competitive race despite the small field. ANOTHER WIL had the right run to nab Mr B first up but is sure to be improved by that run and has jumped out well since. TOM KITTEN looked unluck behind Mr B and will appreciate 1600m on a big track. ATISHU loves it here and did enough first up. MR BRIGHTSIDE is the benchmark for Group 1 WFA horses at this trip, he gets blinkers off, visors and is sure to be fighting out the finish.

Suggested Bet: Another Wil to win

Race 8

TREARSURETHE MOMENT is building an impressive record. She should be suited by a decent tempo and looks the one to beat again. CILACAP is another building a decent record and gives the impression 1600m will be ok. ANOTHER PROPHET will strip fitter third up and is a group 1 winner at this trip. JENNI THE FOX provided some challenge to Treasurethe Moment last start.

Race 9

Even Newmarket. JOLIESTAR is a classy mare, she did enough when well backed first up and has jumped out well down the straight since. STRETAN ANGEL will strip fitter for a good return in the Lightning and there’s no real nock on her 1200m form. HEADWALL (not the best of luck) and ESPIONAGE (blinkers on) both closed off well in the Oakleigh Plate. REY MAGNERIO comes through that race and has claims in a deep race.

Suggested Bet: Joliestar each way

Race 10

Another even race. WISHLOR LASS had been trialling well prior to her solid first up run, she maps for a good run and will appreciate the rise in trip. MOLLY BLOOM comes through the same race and will also be suited stepping up to 1600m. SMOKIN’ PRINCESS is racing in outstanding form and showing tactical versatility. ALMA RISE is at her best on firm ground and has been jumping out well. JENNILALA and CHARISSE are in the mix.
