Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on June 7, 2024June 7, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 JENNI’S MEADOW chased well over 1000m first up and may not settle as far back down the straight over 1200m. MARKDEL crossed the line with GRINZINGER POD last time and both should appreciate stepping up to this trip. WONDER BOY has jumped out well and appears suited kicking off at this distance. SUPERNIMA won nicely on debut and is among the other chances in an even race. PISCES is race fit and will give a sight. Selections: 2,4,7,8 Suggested Bet: Jenni’s Meadow each way Race 2 MOOR MUMM is racing in great form and has been given a solid grounding to step up to 1400m. FAIRWAY STAR may have been in inferior ground in the home straight first up and that race produced last week’s impressive winner Jewellery. APACHE SONG gave a great sight riding the speed last start and expect similar tactics here. JENNY JEROME had a bit against her last start and would be hard to beat on her best form. FANCIFY got the favours in front last time and can give another sight. Selections: 9,11,12,6 Suggested Bet: Moor Mumm each way Race 3 SOME PEOPLE CALLME is racing well and gets winkers first time. THE SHAPER is another racing in good form and gives the impression 1600m will suit now. BATOKA CHIEF and CRAIG both won their maidens in impressive fashion and appear to have the upside to measure up. RIVERINA POWER beat a number of key rivals last start, so must have a case. GIFTED GAMER is in the mix. Selections: 5,3,12,11 Suggested Bet: Some People Callme each way Race 4 QUANTUM CAT has been building to his first local victory and may settle closer from a favourable draw. THE GENIUS has been progressing nicely and with any luck from the draw can be fighting out the finish. BERKSHIRE BREEZE should appreciate getting out to this trip and has won a jumpout over 1400m between runs. MIRZANN was plain on face value last week but will strip fitter and is a winner out to 3000m prior to arriving in Australia. ROARING ENGINE gets right down in the weights after the claim. Selections: 3,11,4,7 Suggested Bet: Quantum Cat to win Race 5 STEEL RUN is showing staying promise and has jumped out well between runs. AZTEC STATE comes through the same race as Steel Run, he swaps blinkers for winkers and had some excuses last start. LADY IN PINK is on trial at this trip, but she’s fit, racing well and gets a valuable claim for an in-form apprentice. BURLINGTON GATE is another racing in good form and she maps for another good run. Selections: 5,2,1,10 Suggested Bet: Steel Run each way Race 6 BELTORO has been given a solid ground to step back up to 2000m. He races well here and gets down in the weights after the claim. MILFORD improved nicely to win second up, he should be even further improved and suited by the rise in distance. MIDNIGHT BLUE improved significantly back on firmer ground last start. He’s jumped out well since and is in the game again on relatively form ground. SILENT SURRNETE chased a smart one last time and looks a strong threat on the minimum weight. Any give in the ground would advantage VIRTUOUS CIRCLE. Selections: 7,1,3,12 Suggested Bet: Beltoro each way Same Race Multi: Beltoro (Top 2) + Milford (Top 4) Race 7 Incredibly tough race. No surprise to see PIVOT CITY back up quickly after a luckless run last week. SIOUX SPIRIT measured up well last start following her impressive maiden victory and is right in the game if she gains a start. BOSSY NIC has been kept fresh and appears better suited coming back to 1200m. ATLANTIC SPRIT is flying and was luckless last start, that form ties in RIGHT TO PARTY. CARBONADOS is unbeaten first up and has been jumping out in great style. Selections: 3,20,8,4 Suggested Bet: PIVOT CITY each way Race 8 TALBRAGAR fought on bravely after covering ground in a key lead up race and is drawn for a much better run. LOUNGE BAR RUBI didn’t have the best of luck in that race and will strip fitter. LE FERRARI and RHEINBERG fought that race, so have obvious claims. WATADEEL will strip fitter for a solid first up run in the same race. ELOUYOU rises in grade but the form through The Open looks strong and he’s right in the game. CAWDOR disappointed when well supported at his Australian debut off the back of some encouraging jumpouts and gets a tongue tie. Selections: 10,9,6,8 Suggested Bet: Talbragar each way Race 9 OUR LAST CASH copped early interference after being slowly away last start and under the circumstances there was plenty of merit in his run. LOSESOMEWINMORE is first emergency but is building an impressive record and was well backed to win down the straight track at his latest run. LEGIO TEN was in inferior ground in the home straight first up an will strip fitter. RED HOT NICC found the right part of the track at Caulfield but races well down the straight and may be drawn to advantage again. Selections: 5,17,9,3 Suggested Bet: Our Last Cash each way Market Market
