Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on June 16, 2023June 16, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 PROPICE was luckless behind Sigh here first up last preparation and looks well placed with the claim. ZION was forced to change course last start but still reeled off some impressive late sectionals. NIGHT OF DELIGHT has a great first up record and has jumped out in great style. BOONIE has jumped out impressively since his first Australian run. Selections: 9,8,10,5 Suggested Bet: Propice each way Race 2 STEPARTY has impressed in his two runs to date and gives every indication he will relish 1420m. BLAZING HARRY showed good strength to win on debut and should cope with the rise in trip. DOLPHIN SKIN chased well behind Steparty and is another that gives the impression she will appreciate 1420m. SUNSOURCE and BOLTED IN have some claims. Selections: 1,5,13,6 Suggested Bet: Steparty to win Race 3 TEEWATERS should be close to peak fitness and gets a weight swing on SHAIYHAR for their latest runs. Shaiyhar will strip fitter third up and should appreciate getting out beyond 2000m. D’AGUILAR should be better for his run in the distance range last start and appeared to run the trip out well. HOPEFUL produced and improved performance last time in the same race as D’aguilar and will make his own luck. Selections: 7,10,2,1 Suggested Bet: Teewaters each way Race 4 SIGH was well supported to win down the straight first up, she’s yet to win second up but still looks the one to beat. ZAC DE BOSS ran out of room first up and shapes as a strong danger. PIONEER RIVER got going late in the same race as Zac De Boss first up, he’ll strip fitter and gets blinkers back on. I AM BENE drops in grade from her last and didn’t have the best of luck in the home straight. GENERAL BEAU is in the game on his best form. POLAND has been jumping out typically well to resume. Selections: 7,3,6,4 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 7,3 & 6 Race 5 PARTY FOR ONE has found the winning habit at her last couple and Blake Shinn appears to be a key part of the story. She’ll need a touch of luck from the draw but can accelerate quickly when needed. SHE’S PRETTY RICH chased well behind Party for One and gets below the minimum weight after the claim. GOOD AND PROPER had bad day last start, her previous for lines up well. SEONEE is in the mix. Selections: 2,12,3,4 Suggested Bet: Party for One to win Race 6 MONARCH OF EGYPT is racing in great form he should secure a good run and looks hard to beat again. KING MAGNUS has returned in outstanding form, he’s getting up in the weights but should be even further improved fourth up from a lengthy spell. RIDDLE ME THAT may be suited coming back to 1420m and gets some weight relief. WICKLOW TOWN showed improvement second up behind King Magnus. Selections: 11,1,7,10 Suggested Bet: Monarch of Egypt each way Race 7 Competitive race. JIMMY THE BEAR has returned well, he should appreciate getting out to 1620m third up with a claim. FRENCH EMPEROR is also third up and has been beaten by a couple of handy gallopers this campaign. BRAYDEN STAR is one of those handy gallopers who stays around 1600m after proving too strong for French Emperor last time. UNUSUAL CULTURE comes through the same race and had little luck at a crucial stage. Selections: 1,8,12,11 Suggested Bet: Jimmy the Bear each way Race 8 ARTZINO caught the eye closing off strongly behind Elkington Road first up in a race that ties a fair bit of this form together, he looks suited stepping up to 2000m and is a second up winner. MY BROTHERS KEEPER continues to run well in similar races, he might be looking for further but will be strong late. DISTUSTFUL AWARD was ok through the line behind Elkington Road and can improve sharply with the rise in trip. EUPHORIC has to prove himself at this distance but is hard fit, racing well and maps for a good run. Selections: 11,9,4,2 Suggested Bet: Artzino each way Race 9 LEGIO TEN has impressed at both his runs since being gelded and his effort to change course and still win last time was particularly meritorious. WHO DARES stuck on well behind Legio Ten last time and gets a swing in the weights. KIN may have had excuses at her two runs this preparation and has likely drawn the right side of the track. SETTEVELI was no match for Legio two two starts back but has won impressively since. COTEL had no luck first up and should settle much closer. Selections: 1,5,9,10 Suggested Bet: Legio Ten to win Market Market
