Warren Huntly’s Saturday Caulfield Preview Posted on May 1, 2025May 2, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 PRESTIGE SNITZEL looks promising and gives the impression she’ll relish 1400m. Her stablemate, PRESTIGE OLE, shapes as the main danger, he also looks promising and is a winner at the trip. WENTWORTH FALLS hit the line strongly last start and brings some different form. KALEO was ok behind Prestige Snitzel on debut and should appreciate stepping up in distance. Selections: 2,1,6,3 Suggested Bet: Prestige Snitzel to win Race 2 SMART LITTLE MISS has returned in great form, she’s running impressive late sectionals and looks hard to beat again. HEARCOMESTHESTAR has been jumping out well to resume and is another that will be strong late. GRACIE’S RAIN is racing consistently and will give a sight. ATLANTIC SPIRT and AVEBURY have claims. Selections: 5,4,3,1 Suggested Bet: Smart Little Miss each way Race 3 SCAMPI had nothing more than a track gallop at Ballarat last Sunday and is well up to this class. SYMPHONY OF COLOUR will strip fitter for a good return and Smart Little Miss will have provided a guide on that form in the previous. SAVAGERY VIBE won n easier race in strong fashion first up and gets winkers on. GRINZINGER POD hasn’t had much luck of late and maps for a good run. Selections: 3,6,5,3 Suggested Bet: Scampi each way Race 4 NOSTRINGSATTACHED didn’t have the best of luck in a stronger race in Sydney and his previous form is hard to fault. KALKALLO continues to race well and has obvious claims again. RUE DE ROYALE gets blinkers off and a cross over nose band on, but suspect he’ll still ride the speed and give a sight. SNEAKY SUNRISE had excuses last start and gets winkers on. Selections: 1,4,2,3 Suggested Bet: Nostringsattached each way Race 5 BIG ME is racing in great form and gets right down in the weights after the claim. OAK HILL comes through the same race, where he didn’t have the best of luck and has strong claims. TWIN PERFECTION resumes after having bone chips removed and throat surgery but has been jumping out well. PERILOUS FIGHTER has a case. Selections: 10,4,5,7 Suggested Bet: Big Me each way Race 6 IMMEDIACY was well backed to win second up after an encouraging return and looks the one to beat again. AETHELFLAED is a promising stayer, she may be looking for further but respect the stable. ARAMCO had excuses last start and is another that can make his own luck. DASHING DUCHESS and SHAIYHAR have some claims. Selections: 3,9,11,4 Suggested Bet: Immediacy to win Race 7 OXFORD BLUE may have cost himself by wobbling on the home turn on the Heath track last start and strikes another suitable race. STYLISH SECRET has returned well and gives the impression 2000m will suit. THE MUFFIN MAN may need some luck from the draw but also gives the impression he’ll be suited stepping up to 2000m. GLOBAL ECLIPSE had an easy kill last time but he form around him is strong and can measure up. Selections: 3,4,5,7 Suggested Bet: Oxford Blue each way Same Race Multi: Oxford Blue (Top 2) + Stylish Secret (Top 4) Race 8 Intriguing race. PRIDE OF JENNI is clearly the fastest horse over the journey and if she’s recovered from her Flemington run, then it’s hard to see anything getting past her. POUNDING will appreciate relatively firm ground, a solid tempo and will be chasing strongly late. REGAL ZEUS might the Pride Of Jenni’s stalker and well placed to pounce if she’s not at her best. WINDSTORM is going well and due for a change of luck. Selections: 1,3,2,6 Suggested Bet: Pride Of Jenni to win Race 9 Even Finish. SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET may need some luck from the draw but is most effective on dray ground and a likely decent tempo may help offset the barrier. NUNTHORPE will strip fitter third up and is a likely improver with blinkers going on and the nose roll off. RED PHANTOM will be part of the speed and looks attractively weighted after the claim. HIYAAM PROUD has plenty of upside and been jumping well to resume with pre-race ear muffs and a nose roll on. HUGHES is in the game. Selections: 10,11,4 Suggested Bet: Sunshineinmypocket each way Market Market
