Warren Huntly’s Saturday Ballarat Preview Posted on December 6, 2024December 6, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 One again on weather watch, with between 1-10mm of rain forecast during the meeting. ALEPPO PINE looked sharp winning a recent jumpout and looks ready to go on debut. HELLO ROMEO has a race fitness and experience advantage and will make his own luck. DIFFERENT GRAVY and HIGHSTRUNG have both shown enough at the jumpouts to respect on debut. Selections: 2,1,3,4 Suggested Bet: Aleppo Pine to win Race 2 DREAM ALL DAY impressed winning her heat of the series after blowing the start and there is winning form coming out of that race. JUGGERNAUT JOAN controlled the race to score first up, that form ties in ILLUMINANCE (blinkers on). DUNORI gave a good sight in a strong heat with Somewhere coming through that race to place in the Sandown Guineas. JUST FOR SHOW and NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND have intertwining form and both have a case. Selections: 3,4,6,8 Suggested Bet: Dream All Day to win Race 3 KIKO ran well without much luck first up. She has a good second up record and Pisanello has won again since. CLEO CAT is building a great record and looks capable of taking another step. HEARCOMESTHESTAR had the race shape against her second up and will be strong late. ZEBELLA and SUBLIMINAL have both trialled/jumped out well leading into this. Selections: 5,2,7,4 Suggested Bet: Kiko each way Race 4 PHARARI was luckless last start, she’s a winner here and any rain during the day would be a positive. MISS ROUMBINI was solid first up in a stronger race and also wouldn’t be disadvantaged by any rain. ENNA’S DREAM was luckless first up and the extra trip will suit. MODOWN probably doesn’t want it too wet but has jumped out in great style between runs. Selections: 4,3,8,5 Suggested Bet: Pharari to win Race 5 LITTLE JACK will appreciate stepping up in distance following and encouraging return. BIGOLINO backs up quickly and drops in grade with a claim. DEAKIN has been jumping out well for his local debut. KENGERO did enough at his first Australian run and will appreciate stepping up to 1600m. Selections: 8,1,2,4 Suggested Bet: Little Jack each way Same Race Multi: Little Jack (Top 2) + Bigolino (Top 4) Race 6 Deep race. TIFFANY VALENTINE will settle back but there appears decent speed and she’ll be charging late. WOLFLANDS is one of a few hopes with a wide draw to contend with, but he’s jumped out particularly well and is a previous first up winner. DON’T HOPE DO hit the line well first up and is in the game if he gains a start. FICKLE will likely push forward from the wide draw and be in it for a long way. Selections: 15,5,20,19 Suggested Bet: Tiffany Valentine each way Race 7 Should be a solidly run race which should suit both VAGRANT (jumped out well between runs) and BELLINGER, who won well first up. JOYFUL FORTUNE resumes from a lengthy break but has been jumping out in great style and gets a tongue tie. SHE DANCES resumes from an injury enforced lay off but has been jumping out well as has MRS CHRISSIE. Selections: 8,11,1,3 Suggested Bet: Vagrant each way Race 8 RUAKAKA RAIDER is building a decent record and gives the impression 2000m will be ok. SAVOIR FARE is racing in great form, he’s proven at the trip and any rain would enhance his chances. BOLD SOUL will strip fitter second up and is suited by the rise in distance and the claim. SAMUEL LANGHORNE has run well previously first up without winning and has been given a solid grounding at the jumpouts to resume. Selections: 17,7,1,10 Suggested Bet: Ruakaka Raider each way Race 9 FUTURE HISTORY has jumped out well between runs and the Via Sistina form line produced Arapaho to win last week. GLOBE has raced himself back into form and 2000m looks within his scope. AIN’TNODEELDUN doesn’t want too much rain but has jumped out in great style between runs and is proven at this trip. POISON CHALICE appeared to have his chance last time but may be looking for 2000m. AIR ASSAULT and BERKELEY SQUARE are in the game in another deep race. Selections: 1,5,8,16 Suggested Bet: Future History each way Race 10 IS IT ME has been good at both runs this prep and jumped out in nicley since his last run. SIR ATLAS has been jumping out well to resume at a suitable trip. THE OPEN will strip fitter for a solid return and will appreciate stepping up to 1400m. Stablemates BRAZEN LADY and DUAL PRESSURE both have a case Selections: 8,14,5,7 Suggested Bet: Is It Me each way Market Market
