Trent’s GP Preview Posted on June 1, 2017June 1, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: CHOICES FLOORING 3YO MS PACE HERRICK ROOSEVELT (9) has been impressive in winning his last two starts in good time. He will be suited by the staying trip and can overcome the wide draw. HEEZ MANLY (3) made up ground in a 55.2 last half when 4th at his Australian debut and looks to have plenty of ability. THE PUBLISHER (1) doesn’t have the class of his stablemates but has drawn the pole and can lead or sit on the speed. OUR ZAK WHITBY (7) has been impressive in winning his last two but goes up in class here. Tips: 9 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: HERRICK ROOSEVELT (9) to win. Race 2: TABTOUCH MS PACE EL HOMBRE (5) led throughout in 1.55.3 three starts back and was a fantastic 2nd to Natural Disaster here last week. This is a drop in class and he should prove hard to beat. RABCHENKO (1) wasn’t far away in the same race and should give a great sight from the pole. THE STORM CHIEF (11) ran on well when 2nd to Herrick Roosevelt last week and will be finishing strongly again. FOXY DAME (7) was held up last week and her previous form suggests she shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 5 1 11 7 Suggested Bet: EL HOMBRE (5) to win. Race 3: PRINCI BUTCHERS MS PACE LIVURA (9) won two on end before running consecutive 2nds to Harry Hoo in strong fields. He has drawn wide but that is compensated by the drop in class. STROGANOFF (1) has had no luck at all in his last three starts and can be a big improver from the pole. RED HOT MAJOR (4) led and was only beaten 4.3m behind Harry Hoo and LIVURA (9) last start and should be thereabouts again. SEE ME VICTORIOUS (11) finished just behind the placegetters in the same race and looks the value bet. Tips: 9 1 4 11 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (9) to win. Race 4: THE SPORTS DAILY ON TABRADIO MARES MS PACE ALKIRAS DESIRE (7) has won six of her thirteen race starts and excels at the shorter distance. Her recent form over 2100 has been sound and she is the one to beat despite the draw. GIULIANA RANCIC (8) needs her races run to suit but is the other class runner of this field. SHES ARTFUL (2) has been battling bad barriers and should be an improver from his nice draw. ONCE BITTEN (1) has gate speed and can be placed from the pole over the sprint trip. Tips: 7 8 2 1 Suggested Bet: ALKIRAS DESIRE (7) to win. Race 5: GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MS PACE RED SALUTE (9) has been tackling the state’s best pacers recently and has come up short but this is a massive drop in class and he can overcome the draw. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (12) has also been racing in stronger company and should be finishing strongly tonight. BRAEVIEW BOMBER (7) has been finishing just behind the placegetters recently and should be suited by the staying trip. THREE KINGS (5) is racing well with 2nds at his last two starts and can be in the finish again. Tips: 9 12 7 4 Suggested Bet: RED SALUTE (9) to win. Race 6: WESTRAL MS PACE HARRY HOO (7) was sent out at good odds when beating a strong field in The Pure Steel Final last week and should be in the finish again. SOHO WALL STREET (9) has gone to a new level in his last four starts but faces a bigger challenge from out here. VULTAN TIN (8) was a strong 2nd to SOHO WALL STREET (9) when sitting outside that pacer last week and could be the value runner. NAUGHTY MARAVU (2) has been racing well without winning but could be a chance if he finds the front here. Tips: 7 9 8 2 Suggested Bet: VULTAN TIN (8) each way. Race 7: 2YO DIAMOND CLASSIC MISS SANGRIAL (1) has gone to a new level, winning four of her last five and has the gate speed to make this race hers to lose. TENNIELE ERIN (4) has shown that she is probably the best filly in the race but seems to be racing below her best and might be at the end of her campaign. CIMORENE (2) continues to improve and was a strong heat winner and is nicely drawn. BETTORGRINANBARIT (3) is another improving type who impressed in her heat when she showed brilliant gate speed to lead throughout and must be considered. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: MISS SANGRIAL (1) to win. Race 8: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC HANDICAP SS PACE ZACH MAGUIRE (5) won his first three starts back from a spell, including two standing start events. He then finished worse than midfield but wasn’t far away in a hot field and is the one to beat tonight. IM MASTER CHARLIE (6) led but missed a place last week but would give a great sight if he could settle in front of ZACH MAGUIRE (5). NEW WORLD ORDER (8) has been freshened up since some good efforts and is a winning chance. WALTZING WITH CULLEN (9) was a great first-up 2nd but has a 40m handicap. Tips: 5 6 8 9 Suggested Bet: ZACH MAGUIRE (5) to win. Race 9: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE WESTBRED MS PACE KEEPER OF KEYS (3) has been placed at his past five starts, including a dead-heat win at Pinjarra. He overcame a wide draw to be a great 2nd here last start and should prove hard to beat tonight. DAVINCI DIAMOND (6) is a 3YO who had been racing in stronger company before beating a weaker field at Bunbury and must be considered. MAKO SHADOW (9) is the class runner and has the finish to overcome this barrier. BETTOR NOT BITTER (7) was a nice 2nd in a recent Byford trial and showed ability last campaign. Tips: 3 6 9 7 Suggested Bet: KEEPER OF KEYS (3) to win. Race 10: RETRAVISION 3YO FILLIES MS PACE SARAH GOODY (3) was an eye-catching 2nd behind Maczaffair in the WA Oaks and only has to run up to that performance to be the one to beat. PICK MY POCKET (8) has been impressive in running on to win her last two starts and will be finishing hard again. SOHO ANGEL (10) finished 2nd to PICK MY POCKET (8) before leading throughout at Pinjarra and should be in the finish with a bit of luck. ANGEL BROMAC (4) has shown her share of ability and wasn’t far away last start. Tips: 3 8 10 4 Suggested Bet: SARAH GOODY (3) to win. SuperPick - No. 3 Sarah Goody - Money Back – Run 2nd
