Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 25, 2018October 26, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CRACKA STAR (3) ran a nice 3rd to Mitch Maguire four starts back and hasn’t had much luck in his three subsequent runs. He can be driven aggressively from this draw and should give a great sight. KISSMECOUGAR (4) was an impressive winner here recently before she couldn’t make up ground in a quick last half at Bunbury and should be thereabouts tonight. SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (6) was a strong winner here three starts back and his last two runs can be overlooked. THE STORM CHIEF (10) will be charging home if he sees daylight late. Tips: 3 4 6 10 Suggested Bet: CRACKA STAR (3) to win. Race 2: LIVURA (2) has only been placed once in his six starts this time in but he’s battled bad draws and has been competing in events where they’ve been running quick last halves. This barrier suits perfectly and he gets his chance tonight. EXTREME PRINCE (1) has been racing well in stronger fields and will be right in the finish from the pole. CARTER MICHEAL (6) has contested harder events at his first two runs back from a spell and can improve. ROCK ME OVER (4) will find this harder than his all-the-way win here last week. Tips: 2 1 6 4 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (2) to win. Race 3: EDEN FRANCO (9) made an impressive return from a spell with a solid all-the-way win over Mitch Maguire. She is drawn wide here but looks to have a class edge on her rivals. MADAME MEILLAND (7) was beaten by Maxentius as a short-priced favourite last start but the run had plenty of merit and she should be prominent. ARTHUR LOWE (3) battled on well when 3rd to Better B Chevron last start and should be handy from this draw. FOREVER REMEMBERED (12) will be suited by the likely strong tempo and can run into the money. Tips: 9 7 3 12 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (9) to win. Race 4: BENHOPE RULZ (5) has won four of his six starts this campaign and was only 6m away from King Of Swing when 4th to that pacer last start. He has a race fitness advantage over his main rivals and should prove hard to beat. LUIS ALBERTO (1) raced in good company earlier in the year and will be right in the finish from the pole. THE ARSONIST (3) was only 3.2m behind Chicago Bull when 2nd to that superstar during his last campaign but is first up from a two-year break. FIREBRACE (2) can sneak a place from his nice draw. Tips: 5 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: BENHOPE RULZ (5) to win. Race 5: KING OF SWING (4) has won six of his eight starts this campaign and couldn’t get into the race when 6th to Vampiro last week. He is better suited at this distance and can bounce back into the winners’ circle. MITCH MAGUIRE (10) has won 20 of his 31 starts and will be sprinting home hard if he can get out at the right time. ROCK DIAMONDS (8) is capable of running the gate and would give them something to catch if he crosses to the front. MACZAFFAIR (11) was bloused out by Vampiro but starts from the back line tonight. Tips: 4 10 8 11 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (4) to win. Race 6: DONTSTOPBELIEVIN (5) has won six of her last nine starts and wasn’t far away from King Of Swing when 2nd to that pacer recently. She will press forward from this barrier and is clearly the one to beat. PICK MY POCKET (6) will be fitter for her first up 3rd to DONTSTOPBELIEVIN (5) and looks the main danger. INNOCENT AFFAIR (4) was narrowly beaten by Golden State and will give them something to catch if she leads. SHE COULD BE GOOD (2) wasn’t far away at her first run back from a break and is well drawn. Tips: 5 6 4 2 Suggested Bet: DONTSTOPBELIEVIN (5) to win. Race 7: BECHERS BROOK (11) has won both starts this campaign including a stunning victory here last week when he looked in big trouble in the run. He has a nice trailing draw and can bring up his 11th win from 18 starts. IDEAL ONE (4) ran a great 2nd to BECHERS BROOK (11) two starts back and draws to get an early break on the favourite. CHIAROSCURO (10) is almost back to his best but will need luck from this alley. SCOTLYN BEACH (8) disappointed as a $1.10 favourite last week but can be thereabouts. Tips: 11 4 10 8 Suggested Bet: BECHERS BROOK (11) to win. Race 8: FANCI A DANCE (8) was driven back in the field at his first start back from a spell and ran on strongly to finish 2nd to Rock Me Over. He will strip fitter for that effort and can go one better tonight. DESTINED TO RULE (5) ran 3rd in the same race and he will be suited by the likelihood of a strong tempo tonight. KERRIN JOSEPH (9) is back to his best and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. HASTALAVISTA (2) didn’t handle the pressure here on Tuesday but would be hard to catch if he could get a soft lead. Tips: 8 5 9 2 Suggested Bet: FANCI A DANCE (8) to win. Race 9: THE BUCKEYE BULLET (7) won two on end before copping a bad check at the 800 but ran on well to finish 3rd to AMADEO (3) on Monday. He is drawn awkwardly tonight but looks to be a nice type. THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (4) only has one win from his ten career starts but raced in stronger company in his last preparation and can make his presence felt. AMADEO (3) led throughout at Pinjarra on Monday and is likely to be thereabouts again. MACHLANI (2) broke through at his 15th start and could go on with it now. Tips: 7 4 3 2 Suggested Bet: THE BUCKEYE BULLET (7) to win. Race 10: THE MALE MODEL (1) crosses the Nullabor with a good record on the eastern seaboard and his trainer has elected to drive him over his main rival. He has the advantage at the handicaps and should prove very hard to catch if he steps cleanly. LIGHTNING CALDER (5) is racing well and is suited by the staying trip. TON TINE (3) improved sharply at his 2nd run back from a spell and is ready to show his best. DIAMOND GEEZER (7) has been placed at his last seven starts and will be running on strongly again. Tips: 1 5 3 7 Suggested Bet: THE MALE MODEL (1) to win. Market Market
