Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 10, 2019October 10, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 MAJOR POCKET (2) finished 2nd for the seventh time in his last nine runs at his last start and will be right in the firing line from his perfect draw tonight. CLARENDEN HUSTLER (5) led throughout in 1.54.4 over this distance two starts back. He is the quickest beginner and will take catching if he can cross early. COMMANDER CHAPEL (7) is first up after an 18-month absence but has plenty of ability and the stable is firing. MATTJESTIC STAR (1) has been unplaced at his past 15 starts but can be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 2 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: MATTJESTIC STAR (1) each way. Race 2 MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) led throughout in quick time last start and looks a great chance to repeat the dose tonight. SWEET N FAST (3) ran on well to record a solid victory last start and should get a nice run in transit. ATMOSPHERICAL (7) couldn’t make up ground in a sprint home last start but won his previous two impressively and must be considered. SOHO WONDER (10) is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 1 3 7 10 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) to win. Race 3 OUR PERKINS (1) led throughout in solid time here at his last start and should lead and give a great sight from the pole. SERGEANT OATS (2) ran a solid 2nd at Pinjarra at his last start and should enjoy a nice run from this draw and looks the main danger. MIDNIGHT MAN (3) finished alongside SERGEANT OATS (2) in that event when 3rd to Maras Ace Man and shouldn’t be far away. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (10) is drawn to get a lovely run behind the favourite and looks a great place chance. Tips: 1 2 3 10 Suggested Bet: OUR PERKINS (1) to win. Race 4 OUR ALFIE ROMEO (2) won her last two starts in good mares’ company before going for a spell. She resumes tonight without a trial but will be extremely hard to beat if she can find the front. JUST ROCKON BYE (10) has been impressive in winning two of her last three starts and should settle close enough in the run to be a major threat. INFINITE SYMBOL (1) led throughout in quick time at her last start and has options from the pole. COTT BEACH (6) is the other class mare in this field but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 2 10 1 6 Suggested Bet: OUR ALFIE ROMEO (2) to win. Race 5 MOTU PREMIER (2) hasn’t had much luck in his two starts back from a spell and should be ready to be driven aggressively tonight from this draw. EL JACKO (4) has ran on well to be placed at his past three starts in similar fields and should be in the finish again. SPEED MAN (1) is drawn to be prominent throughout and should be a big improver tonight. OUR CORELLI (8) has won three of his last four starts in similar company but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 2 4 1 8 Suggested Bet: MOTU PREMIER (2) to win. Race 6 BILL HALEY (6) won four of his last five starts in Queensland and crosses the Nullabor with a big reputation. He has good gate speed and should prove hard to beat in his WA debut. ROCK ME OVER (2) shook the bridesmaid tag when an impressive winner here on Tuesday and can go on with it now. ACE BROMAC (5) has won one of his two starts since changing stables and can play a part. STARLIGHT BRIGADE (1) has finished 2nd at his last two starts and looks a great place chance from the pole. Tips: 6 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: BILL HALEY (6) to win. Race 7 WARFARE (8) finished just behind the placegetters in his last three starts before a short break. He drops significantly in class for this assignment and should prove hard to beat if he is anywhere near his top. HY LEEXCITING (3) led throughout here at his last start and would give some cheek if he crossed at the start. HOT FRATERNITY (2) was a close-up 3rd in good time at his last start and should be thereabouts from his perfect draw. BETTOR REWARD (6) was a 1.52.7 winner before having excuses last start and must be considered. Tips: 8 3 2 6 Suggested Bet: WARFARE (8) to win. Race 8 MIGHTY CONQUEROR (12) was ultra-impressive at his return from a break when sitting outside Forgotten Highway and accounting for that pacer in slick time at Pinjarra. He is the lone backmarker and will have to work in the run but still appeals as the one to beat. SPACE JUNK (10) took some time to return to his best but has won his past three on end and has the handicap advantage over his main rival. TWILIGHT SAGA (3) and DESTINED TO RULE (4) ran the placings behind SPACE JUNK (10) here recently and both can be in the money. Tips: 12 10 3 4 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY CONQUEROR (12) to win. Race 9 ATHEBASCAN (2) has been placed at all five starts this time in and recorded a solid all-the-way victory two starts back. He looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to run down. JACK WILLIAM (5) has won two of his three starts in WA and must be considered despite an awkward draw. ANOTHER VINNIE (3) hasn’t had much luck in his three runs back from a spell and should be an improver tonight. SAMEPLACE SAMETIME (1) is drawn to get a lovely run in transit and can be placed. Tips: 2 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: ATHEBASCAN (2) to win. Race 10 ROBB STARK (4) was placed in two of his last three starts before a spell in stronger fields than he meets tonight and should run a big race first-up. VALBONNE (2) led throughout to defeat an easier field two starts back and should give a sight from this draw. HIT IT RICH (3) has been racing consistently in mares’ company and will be thereabouts from her nice barrier. DENNIS (6) has one win and three 2nd’s from his last four starts and will be charging home. Tips: 4 2 3 6 Suggested Bet: ROBB STARK (4) to win. Market Market
