Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 26, 2019September 26, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 VINCENZO PERUGGIA (6) has faced the breeze and ran strong 2nds at his past two starts. He is likely to have to work in the run again but will be right in the finish. CARTER MICHEAL (4) has been placed at eight of his past nine starts and will be suited by the likely strong tempo tonight. CUT FOR AN ACE (3) was held up at a crucial stage last week and can improve with some luck in running. RUNAWAY THREE (1) looks the leader but is likely to cop plenty of pressure and looks more of a place chance. Tips: 6 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: VINCENZO PERUGGIA (6) to win. Race 2 WALKINSHAW (6) returned to his best form when running on to defeat Vincenzo Peruggia last week and looks a great chance to back that up with another win tonight. JAMES BUTT (9) impressed at his first run back from a spell with a fast finishing victory here last week and will be running on strongly again. ARGYLE RED (1) will be fitter for his first run back from a break and looks the likely leader from the pole. THE TRILOGY (7) is racing extremely consistently but will find this harder due to his wide draw. Tips: 6 9 1 7 Suggested Bet: WALKINSHAW (6) to win. Race 3 HY LEEXCITING (2) faced the breeze when a strong 3rd here last week and will be hard to run down if he can find the top in the early stages. ATMOSPHERICAL (11) has hit peak form with back-to-back victories after running on from midfield and should enjoy a similar trip tonight. IDEAL ONE (7) dashed home in 55.8 when an all-the-way winner here last week and can play a part despite the wide draw. MAD ROBBER (9) is the class horse of the field but is better known as a frontrunner and will have his work cut out tonight. Tips: 2 11 7 9 Suggested Bet: ATMOSPHERICAL (11) each way. Race 4 SIMBA BROMAC (2) hasn’t been far from the winner when 3rd and 5th at his two runs back from a break and will give a great sight if he finds the front here. MOTU PREMIER (4) started from a wide draw but ran on strongly to finish 5th at his first run back from a spell and should make his presence felt tonight. KING OF SWING (3) wasn’t far away last start and should be right in the firing line from this draw. WAYLADE (1) hasn’t had much luck of late and looks an improver from the pole. Tips: 2 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: SIMBA BROMAC (2) to win. Race 5 BLETCHLEY PARK (2) was beaten by JOE WITH THE FLOW (4) before finding the front last week when a dominant winner in quick time and is clearly the one to beat from this draw. OCEAN RIDGE (11) chased hard when 2nd to BLETCHLEY PARK (2) and looks the main danger again. JOE WITH THE FLOW (4) did defeat the favourite last start but the draws have been reversed and he will find this a lot harder. DENNIS (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 2 11 4 10 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (2) to win. Race 6 SPACE JUNK (8) took a while to find form after an injury-enforced layoff but has impressed in winning his last two starts, both from the stand. He looks to be the class runner of this field and can bring up the hat-trick tonight. DESTINED TO RULE (2) has a losing sequence of 31 but is always thereabouts in these events and shouldn’t be far away. CUT ABOVE (7) has rated 1.56.9 in mobile wins at her last two starts and is normally a reliable beginner. ACE BROMAC (9) was a winner at his first start for a new stable last week and must be respected. Tips: 8 2 7 9 Suggested Bet: SPACE JUNK (8) to win. Race 7 THE DALI EXPRESS (1) is a known frontrunner who led throughout to defeat Ocean Ridge here last start. He should lead from the pole tonight and will prove hard to catch. MAJOR POCKET (3) brought up his sixth 2nd placing from his last eight starts here last week and looks a good chance to fill the same position again. SWEET N FAST (2) is drawn to get a lovely run in transit and could be a big improver. EXTREME PRINCE (7) is racing well and his last run can be overlooked but is drawn poorly here. Tips: 1 3 2 7 Suggested Bet: THE DALI EXPRESS (1) to win. Race 8 PIERRE WHITBY (5) has been placed at three of his past four starts and this looks an ideal race for him to break back into the winners’ circle. THE ARSONIST (3) had every chance when 3rd here last week but could go better if he can find the top. BOB WHEEL (7) is racing consistently and is suited by the distance but his racing style means he will have to work hard to win this event. REGAL AMBITION (2) has been unplaced at his past nine starts but can improve from his nice draw. Tips: 5 3 7 2 Suggested Bet: PIERRE WHITBY (5) to win. Race 9 ARMA INDIE (3) has impressed in winning her four starts back from a spell and should prove very hard to beat again. HIT IT RICH (1) trailed ARMA INDIE (3) when 2nd to her last week and looks likely to fill the same position if she takes the trail. COTT BEACH (4) is the proven performer in this field and should be thereabouts from her nice draw. JUST ROCKON BYE (7) is racing extremely well but will have to do it tough again from this draw. Tips: 3 1 4 7 Suggested Bet: ARMA INDIE (3) to win. Race 10 ATHEBASCAN (5) ran nice placings at his first three starts back from a spell before leading throughout here on Tuesday. He is no certainty to find the top but is racing well and appeals as the one to beat. BURNING RUBBER (2) has been placed at his past two starts in stronger company and looks a big chance from his lovely draw. ROLL WITH ME (3) was a strong 3rd here on Tuesday and can play a part here. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (4) is racing fairly and can get into the money with the right run. Tips: 5 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: ATHEBASCAN (5) to win. Market Market
