Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 25, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 ROBB STARK (11) has run two nice 2nds at his last two starts and is working up to a win. He was only beaten 1.2m by Gee Jay Kay last week and should enjoy a nice trip from this draw. ONE OFF DELIGHT (1) was only plain here last week but is a different horse in front and should give a great sight. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (10) led when 2nd here last week and should get a lovely run behind the leader tonight. BETTOR B ABELIEVER (2) wasn’t far away when 3rd in the Gee Jay Kay race last week and should be thereabouts from this draw. Tips: 11 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: ROBB STARK (11) to win. Race 2 CARTER MICHEAL (4) has slowly been building into form this campaign but impressed when 2nd to BOB WHEEL (2) in quick time at his last start and should give a sight here at each way odds. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) disappointed here last week when racing with a sit but is likely to press for an all-the-way victory tonight and can improve. THE WAR NURSE (10) hasn’t had much luck at her last two starts and should enjoy a lovely trip on the pegs. BOB WHEEL (2) is in career-best form and must be considered from this draw. Tips: 4 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: CARTER MICHEAL (4) each way. Race 3 FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) started at $101 but was enormous in winning here last week and only has to reproduce that effort to bring up back-to-back victories. WAIMAC ATTACK (8) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd here last week and should make his presence felt again. WABI SABI (10) is drawn to get a lovely run behind the leader and should be in the money. VEILED SECRET (12) handed up the lead and never saw clear running last week and is likely to be driven more aggressively tonight. Tips: 1 8 10 12 Suggested Bet: FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (1) to win. Race 4 MAJOR TROJAN (2) created a big impression in his first WA campaign which culminated in a dominant win of the WA Derby. He has warmed up for his return with a solid Byford trial win and looks extremely hard to beat here. HY LEEXCITING (1) trailed the leader when a solid 2nd here last week and is likely to be in the same position tonight. BECHERS BROOK (3) ran a nice 2nd to Saying Grace here last week and shouldn’t be far away. DOMINATE THE DOJO (10) should be three back on the pegs and looks a good place chance. Tips: 2 1 3 10 Suggested Bet: MAJOR TROJAN (2) to win. Race 5 CONVERT DENARIO (4) won four of his first five starts this time in and was a narrow 2nd in quick time at his last start. He looks to have plenty of ability but has performed better on the bigger tracks. MARAS ACE MAN (2) is the state’s most improved pacer and will be hard to catch if he can find the top. DENNIS (1) is racing consistently and looks a great place chance from the pole. SON OF A TIGER (10) is unbeaten in his three WA starts and must be considered despite the rise in class. Tips: 4 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: CONVERT DENARIO (4) to win. Race 6 KING OF SWING (8) has only been placed once in his last five starts but drops significantly in class for this assignment. He can be driven aggressively in this company and should prove hard to beat. IM SOXY (6) was narrowly beaten by Vultan Tin here last week and looks the other class runner in the field. THEREUGO (2) will lead and could give them something to catch if he can get away with a cheap sectional. CHIAROSCURO (3) should enjoy a nice run close to the speed and could be the value runner. Tips: 8 6 2 3 Suggested Bet: CHIAROSCURO (3) each way. Race 7 EL JACKO (4) resumed from a spell with a fast finishing 3rd to HERRICK ROOSEVELT (5). He should be fitter for that run and should be charging home tonight. HANDSANDWHEELS (7) ran a cracking 2nd in the same event at his first run this time in and looks a major player again. VULTAN TIN (8) bounced back to his best when a strong winner here last week and should be thereabouts despite the wide draw. OUR CORELLI (3) has won four on end for his new stable and will give a sight if he can find the front. Tips: 4 7 8 3 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (4) to win. Race 8 MAJORPRIDE (6) has been placed at 17 of her 21 race starts and ran on well to finish 3rd to MANDY JOAN (8) at her last start. She is drawn inside that rival tonight and looks a great chance to turn the tables. MANDY JOAN (8) has won three of her past five starts and looks a major player despite the outside draw. DELIGHTFULREACTION (5) is a consistent type and should give a sight from this draw. COUNTESS GRACE (7) drops significantly in class but her chances are diminished by the draw. Tips: 6 8 5 7 Suggested Bet: MAJORPRIDE (6) to win. Race 9 SUN OF ANARCHY (1) won three on end before disappointing in finishing at the tail last start. There were no excuses found for that performance so he must be taken on trust but would be the one to beat on his previous runs. SUNOFLINDENNY (3) has been placed at her past three starts and is working up to a win. LORD LIAM (5) defeated a similar field last start and must be respected despite drawing outside his main rivals. ONE BID BUYS (2) was a solid winner at Pinjarra on Monday and should be thereabouts from this draw. Tips: 1 3 5 2 Suggested Bet: SUN OF ANARCHY (1) to win. Race 10 VALENTINES BROOK (3) has faced the breeze at his last three starts for one win and two 2nds. He has plenty of depth and should give a great sight again. GARDYS LEGACY (7) was unlucky at his first two starts before blowing away his opposition at Bunbury and looks to have plenty of ability. AMERICAN COLT (2) was a strong last start 2nd from the back line and will appreciate this draw tonight. POWER AND GRACE (5) suffered a flat tyre at his last start and his previous form makes him a winning chance here. Tips: 3 7 2 5 Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (3) to win. Market Market
