Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 9, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 KING OF SWING (1) was a solid first-up winner and then battled on well to finish 4th to VINCENZO PERUGGIA (2) after facing the breeze here last week. He should win if he can hold up at the start but that is the query. VINCENZO PERUGGIA (2) was an impressive all-the-way winner here against a stronger field and will become the one to beat if he finds the top. THEREUGO (6) is the quickest beginner in the event and he will give some cheek if he crosses early. EL HOMBRE (10) should enjoy a nice run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 1 2 6 10 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (1) to win. Race 2 SPEED MAN (4) faced the breeze at his first run back from a spell when a gallant 3rd in 1.53.7 but couldn’t get into the race last start. He is drawn inside his main rival here and is the one to beat. THE ART FORM (6) ran a nice 2nd in a strong field here last week and will give a sight if he can cross at the start. MISTER ARDEE (1) is first-up from a break but warmed up for this with a Pinjarra trial win and should be thereabouts from the pole. BAYLAN JETT (5) is racing in career-best form but goes up in class tonight. Tips: 4 6 1 5 Suggested Bet: SPEED MAN (4) to win. Race 3 SPACE JUNK (6) won three of his last four starts before a spell but hasn’t been seen for nine months. He hasn’t trialled for his return but has the class to win this if anywhere near his top. MISTER BUSHIDO (3) led here last week and gave a great sight when 2nd to Baylan Jett and should be in the finish again. ACE BROMAC (4) ran 6th in the same event but should settle closer and can figure tonight. ANIME (1) has finished near the rear at his last two starts but should be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 6 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: SPACE JUNK (6) to win. Race 4 CAVIAR STAR (6) was nosed out on the line in 1.53.7 here two starts back and then had no luck last week. He is suited by the small field and should prove hard to beat. CAMPORA (1) was an impressive winner here three starts back and should lead and give them something to catch tonight. IM SOXY (5) was a strong 1.55.5 winner here last start and can push forward and be right in the finish again. BACK TO THE BEACH (2) is drawn to get a lovely run in transit and is definitely a winning chance. Tips: 6 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: CAVIAR STAR (6) to win. Race 5 EDEN FRANCO (11) has been unplaced at her past three starts but started from a 50m handicap and wasn’t far away when 6th in the Races For Roses last week. She is drawn to settle in a handy spot and should give a great sight. MISS SANGRIAL (1) was a strong winner of that event and should prove hard to beat from the pole. ROSIES IDEAL (2) ran on to finish 3rd in that event and should settle in a nice position from this draw. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (6) has been placed at nine of her past ten starts and can figure again. Tips: 11 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (11) to win. Race 6 WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (1) wasn’t far away when 4th to Chicago Bull here last week and gets his chance to lead throughout over the sprint trip tonight. VULTAN TIN (3) was a solid 5th in the same event and will settle closer here. THE BUCKET LIST (6) is suited by the small field but will be at the rear in what could develop into a sprint home. MATTJESTIC STAR (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the money. Tips: 1 3 6 2 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (1) to win. Race 7 AS HAPPY AS LARRY (12) has been placed at nine of his past ten starts and has the class to overcome his 30m handicap. RULING GOLD (7) was an impressive Bunbury winner last start and has performed well in stands. ROCKNROLL BEACHBOY (1) and TRUST MY JUDGEMENT (3) are racing well and both would give a sight if they jumped to the front over this journey. Tips: 12 7 1 3 Suggested Bet: ROCKNROLL BEACHBOY (1) each way. Race 8 DOMINATE THE DOJO (2) has led and looked the winner at some stage at his past two starts. This looks an easier assignment and he should prove hard to beat if he can find the line. TUAS DELIGHT (1) finished just behind the placegetters here last week and looks a major player from the pole. HEZGOT FUSION POWER (3) was a strong winner at his first run back from a seven-year layoff and couldn’t get into the race last week but should give a sight tonight. FROSTYFLYER (4) is never far away and is drawn to get a nice trip. Tips: 2 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: DOMINATE THE DOJO (2) to win. Race 9 THE MIDAS TOUCH (2) won two on end before finishing a strong 2nd here last week. He drops in class for this assignment and looks extremely hard to beat. BLACK JACK ZAC (6) was an impressive winner here last week and will be running on strongly. MURPHYS BETTOR (1) has been racing consistently in weaker company and looks a great place chance if he sits on the favourite. IDEAL ONE (3) took on a red-hot field last week and will appreciate this class. Tips: 2 6 1 3 Suggested Bet: THE MIDAS TOUCH (2) to win. Market Market
