Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 29, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 ACE BROMAC (2) has finished 2nd at both of his starts this campaign and is ready to break through. He faced the breeze when a close 2nd in 1.55.1 at his last start and should get a better run in transit tonight. HASANI (11) was somewhat disappointing last start but should figure on his previous form. MISTER SPOT (10) is likely to settle three back on the pegs but will be dangerous if he has luck in the final circuit. LIVURA (4) was held up for a run in a stronger field last start and can play a part here. Tips: 2 11 10 4 Suggested Bet: ACE BROMAC (2) to win. Race 2 BACK TO THE BEACH (1) has been unplaced at his last five starts but has been battling bad draws and the efforts have been full of merit. He is drawn to lead over the sprint trip and should prove hard to catch. KERRIN JOSEPH (3) has finished runner-up at his past three starts, including a brave 2nd here last week, and should break back into the winners’ circle soon. A BOY NAMED ROSIE (10) is drawn to get a lovely trip and shouldn’t be far away. EXTREME PRINCE (2) is ready to produce his best after two runs back from a spell. Tips: 1 3 10 2 Suggested Bet: BACK TO THE BEACH (1) to win. Race 3 HERRICK ROOSEVELT (2) had been placed at three of his five starts this time in before stamping his authority on a similar race from the breeze last week. He may find the front tonight but should prove too good either way. KIMANI (1) attempted to lead throughout here last week but found his stablemate too good and a similar scenario is likely to unfold tonight. RUNAWAY THREE (10) will enjoy a lovely run on the pegs and can be placed. THE ART FORM (12) tried hard but couldn’t round up the leaders last week and that looks likely again. Tips: 2 1 10 12 Suggested Bet: Quinella KIMANI (1) & HERRICK ROOSEVELT (2). Race 4 HANDSANDWHEELS (10) is in career best form and followed an all-the-way victory with a brave 2nd here last week. He has a nice trailing draw and should be a major player with normal luck in running. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (4) defeated HANDSANDWHEELS (10) in quick time last week and must be respected again. VULTAN TIN (8) has been enduring tough runs and may be driven softer here over the longer distance. VINCENZO PERUGGIA (1) is a bold front runner who goes up in class but will give a sight. Tips: 10 4 8 1 Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (10) each way. Race 5 EDEN FRANCO (2) couldn’t get into the race at her only start this time in when finishing down the track behind Vultan Tin. She drops back to mares’ company and looks extremely hard to beat from her perfect draw. MADAME MEILLAND (1) ran on well to finish a solid 4th at her first run back from a spell and holds the key to the race from the pole. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) won five on end before running 2nd in 1.54.0 at Pinjarra but has a wide draw to overcome. LADY DE LA RENTA (10) could be a blowout chance from a soft pegs run. Tips: 2 1 8 10 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (2) to win. Race 6 MAJOR TROJAN (2) couldn’t have been more impressive without winning at his first three Australian starts. He was a brave 3rd after working hard here last week and gets his chance after finally drawing a decent barrier. GEE JAY KAY (1) has been crossed twice from this barrier recently but should race handy and looms as the main danger. ITS ROCK AND ROLL (9) is right up to the two favourites but has a horror draw to overcome. BETTOR BE OSCAR (3) is drawn to get a lovely run and could be placed at odds. Tips: 2 1 9 3 Suggested Bet: Quinella GEE JAY KAY (1) & MAJOR TROJAN (2) Race 7 CARTE BLANCHE (1) has won three of his five starts this campaign and looks the one to beat from the pole. He is better known as a sit-sprint specialist but is likely to push for an all-the-way victory tonight. HEEZ MANLY (3) is first up for almost a year and resumes without a trial but will be a major player if anywhere near his top. LIBERTY ROSE (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and could be dangerous late. FAKE NEWS (4) has won four of her five starts this campaign but goes up in class and is awkwardly drawn. Tips: 1 3 10 4 Suggested Bet: LIBERTY ROSE (10) each way. Race 8 LORD WILLOUGHBY (3) is an ultra-consistent performer who was an extremely unlucky 3rd here two starts back before running on well to be placed behind Handsandwheels. This looks an easier assignment and he should be hard to hold out. ARGYLE RED (1) can either lead or sit from the pole and should play a part under either scenario. TACT MAJOR (2) resumes from an 18-month injury enforced layoff but would be right in this if anywhere near right. LUIS ALBERTO (8) is flying but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 3 1 2 8 Suggested Bet: LORD WILLOUGHBY (3) to win. Race 9 CAVIAR STAR (12) was a solid winner over Herrick Roosevelt before taking on Free-For-All company when 3rd to Whozideawasthis. He drops in class for this assignment and can overcome his 30m handicap. TUAS DELIGHT (1) resumed with a fair 4th here and could give some cheek if he bounced to the front. BETTER SCOOT (6) was a strong Narrogin winner after facing the breeze and likes the standing start. ONEONTHEWOOD (7) ran 2nd in the same event and will be running on strongly tonight. Tips: 12 1 6 7 Suggested Bet: CAVIAR STAR (12) to win. Race 10 SUN OF ANARCHY (12) has won five of his last seven starts and is the one to beat again. He has a nice turn of foot and can overcome his backline draw. SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (7) has won two of her last three and is the other class trotter in this field. MORTICIAN (4) has won his last two on end and must be considered despite the rise in class. HAMMERS LAW (1) led and was only run down late on Monday and should give them something to chase. Tips: 12 7 4 1 Suggested Bet: SUN OF ANARCHY (12) to win. Market Market
