Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 4, 2025September 4, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 THENU CAME ALONG (4) led throughout to win at his last start but is also suited racing with a sit. He should be prominent throughout and give a good sight on an each-way basis. ALTA TRIBUTE (6) and WAVERIDER (9) are very talented pacers resuming and both must be respected but I’d expect them to a bit susceptible over this distance if they have to do too much work in the run. MENEMSHA (11) was suited by the hectic tempo when defeating a stronger field at his last start and will be charging home again. CABERNEIGH (1) has options at the start and shouldn’t be far away but the distance is a concern. Tips: 4 6 11 9 Suggested Bet: THENU CAME ALONG (4) each way. Race 2 LION QUEEN (1) was an impressive first-up winner here last week and the step up in class is offset by the pole draw and she appeals as the one to beat. COPY CAT QUEEN (11) won four on end before being unable to make up the required ground in a sprint home at her last start. She will be suited by the longer trip and should fight out the finish. WATER LOU (7) has proven superior to her stablemate in the past and ran well first-up but the draw makes it tough. HER PRESENCE (10) is a lightly raced mare and shouldn’t be far away if she settles on the leader’s back. Tips: 1 11 7 10 Suggested Bet: LION QUEEN (1) to win. Race 3 MIGHTY RONALDO (9) was very impressive in recording back-to-back victories before doing too much work and finishing at the rear behind Menemsha. This looks an easier assignment and he should be very hard to beat if he hasn’t had any ill effects from his last run. HOTLY PURSUED (6) has performed well at his two starts back from a spell and could be a big improver if he finds the front. ARMA XFACTOR (12) has worked hard and been placed in his last three starts and should make his presence felt again. LOUIE DIOR (3) will be at big odds but he has shown enough to be competitive in this class. Tips: 9 6 12 3 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY RONALDO (9) to win. Race 4 FAKENIT (1) resumed with a nice 3rd in the quickest heat after starting from a backline draw. She gets the pole tonight and looks the leader and the one to beat. RUBY LOU (10) had all the favours when winning her heat in good time and will enjoy a similar run here and should be thereabouts. RUBY LOVERA (7) was a comfortable heat winner and Gary Hall Jnr has chosen to drive her over the polemarker so she must be respected. ITA MAA TIME (4) and COPPER HEAD LADY (8) are both capable of winning if they get the right run in. transit. Tips: 1 10 7 4 Suggested Bet: RUBY LOU (10) each way. Race 5 LAZI DAIS (1) hasn’t finished further back than 2nd in bis seven starts this time in. He led and was outstayed by CAPTAIN. STIRLING (7) in his heat but will be better suited leading around the smaller track tonight and he should give a great sight. CAPTAIN. STIRLING (7) faced the breeze and recorded the quickest time in his heat so must be respected but it looks like he will have to do the bullocking work again. LAST HARD COPY (5) ran on from the rear to be placed in his heat and should settle in a more prominent opposition tonight. ELITE FLEET (9) and BELLY UP (12) both have the ability to win but will need some luck from their barriers. Tips: 1 7 5 9 Suggested Bet: LAZI DAIS (1) to win. Race 6 WISHING BELLE (11) is the dominant filly in the state and has impressed with winning her four starts this time in and is clearly the one to beat despite her backline draw. IM CATEGORY FIVE (3) has won two of her last three starts and wasn’t beaten far when she had to sit outside WISHING BELLE (11) in the Diamond Classic. She looks the only danger and will give a great sight if she can get an easy lead. MAAS ATTACK (10) looks a good place from the pole. SLAY QUEEN (6) has plenty of ability but will need a solid early tempo to bring her into contention. Tips: 11 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: WISHING BELLE (11) to win. Race 7 IDEAL BEACH (1) faced the breeze when a first-up 2nd to EL MYSTRO (8) before leading throughout to turn the tables in the Diamond Classic. He was a comfortable winner of his heat and is clearly the one to beat. EL MYSTRO (8) is possibly the most talented hors in the field but barriers have beaten him at his last two starts and that scenario looks likely again. BETTOR MOVE MATTY (4) led throughout to win his heat and looks a smart type but is unlikely to find the front tonight. AMERICAN MACHINE (10) doesn’t have the ability of many of his rivals but could sneak into the money from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 1 8 4 10 Suggested Bet: IDEAL BEACH (1) to win. Race 8 DELULU (10) hasn’t been on her best behaviour at her last two starts and will need luck from this draw but she does have ability and is was worth a speck in this field. WICKED LOVER (1) was placed from this draw in a stronger field three starts back and has the speed to lead here if desired. LOU LAMOUR (5) raced in better company last time in and his first-up effort indicated that he is in for a good campaign. BEATITLIKEBECCA (8) has been placed in three of his four starts this time in and can figure with some luck. Tips: 10 1 5 8 Suggested Bet: DELULU (10) each way. Race 9 SOME LINE (5) is still working on his tractability but he has shown enough in his two race starts to suggest he will give a great sight in this field if he does everything right. THE SEA SIREN (1) looks the likely leader and there doesn’t look to be a lot of pressure so she could get away with it. IKES GOR THE MIKE (12) and FIRTH OF CLYDE (10) have both shown glimpses and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them figure in the finish. There isn’t a lot of exposed form in this so respect any betting moves. Tips: 5 1 12 10 Suggested Bet: SOME LINE (5) to win. Race 10 BEAT THE BANK (12) has been racing well in stronger company and is capable of overcoming his backline draw but he was stood down after pulling up with hoof issues at his last start so that is cause for some concern. CORDERO (7) was well driven and broke back into the winners’ circle here last week and could go on with it. FLYIN DISCO (11) is racing extremely consistently and looks ready for the rise in class. SHEZA SASSY LADY (6) was a strong 2nd from the breeze at her last start and can figure with a more economical trip here. Tips: 12 7 11 6 Suggested Bet: BEAT THE BANK (12) each way. Market Market
