Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 15, 2025May 15, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ALTA TRIBUTE (9) has resumed with three wins including a 1.54.7 victory in the 4&5YO Championship here last week. He won’t find it easy from out here but still appeals as the one to beat. LION QUEEN (6) couldn’t get into the race in the Breeders’ Stakes here last week but her previous form was solid and she has the barrier advantage over her main rivals. VEGAS STRIP (8) wasn’t fancied in the betting but ran on well when 2nd first-up and must be considered. POCKET THE CHANGE (1) can be placed from the pole. Tips: 9 6 8 1 Suggested Bet: ALTA TRIBUTE (9) to win. Race 2 BLITZEMBYE (3) has been unplaced in all 15 starts this time in but he has been battling bad draws in better fields and he will be a big improver if he can find the front tonight. IM THE BLACK FLASH (7) has resumed in good form and Jnr has chosen him over the stablemate. THE MIKI TAKER (6) was narrowly beaten in the Fremantle Cup Consolation and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. PRINCE OF PLEASURE (8) is racing well enough to win a race of this nature but he performs a lot better from inside barriers. Tips: 3 7 6 8 Suggested Bet: BLITZEMBYE (3) to win. Race 3 GREATGREAT BOULDER (9) has been below his best at his last two starts but he would beat this field at his best so happy to go with him at a reasonable price. DAWSON (8) has finished just behind the placegetters at his two runs in WA and this looks a suitable assignment. APOLOGIZE (1) doesn’t have the class of many of his rivals but will give a great sight over the sprint trip if he can hold up at the start. KURIOUS BOY (7) drops in class and can play a part. Tips: 9 8 1 7 Suggested Bet: GREATGREAT BOULDER (9) to win. Race 4 HES NEVER BEEN BETA (4) has been solid without winning this time in but can be driven positively from this barrier and appeals as the one to beat. IDEAL MUSCLE (9) caught the eye when finishing 4th in the 4&5YO Championship but has drawn poorly again. QUINTON (5) did too much work in the last lap but battled on well here last week and can play a part with a softer trip. MY WATCHLIST (8) was a big drifter last week and finished at the rear. He has ability but look for a positive market movement. Tips: 4 9 5 8 Suggested Bet: HES NEVER BEEN BETA (4) to win. Race 5 RUBY LOVERA (2) overcame barrier nine to record an impressive heat win and looks very hard to beat from her ideal draw. REINETTE (7) led throughout to win the other heat and has the versatility to negate the wide draw. RUBY LOU (11) disappointed at her last start but must be considered on her previous good form. DELULU (8) did things wrong when beaten as a $1.40 favourite in her heat but has won a Byford trial since and can’t be overlooked. Tips: 2 7 11 8 Suggested Bet: RUBY LOVERA (2) to win. Race 6 TUALOU (2) impressed in winning three of his last four starts before going for as spell. He resumes here without a trial but is versatile and should fight out the finish. SKYLOU (4) hasn’t had any luck in his two runs back from a spell but can make his presence felt tonight. AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (7) recorded good closing sectionals when just behind the placegetters here last week and can play a part despite the draw. MONTANA DJ (1) was a good winner here last week and the rise in class is offset by the pole draw. Tips: 2 4 7 1 Suggested Bet: TUALOU (2) to win. Race 7 ACUSHLA MAREE (1) led throughout to defeat Scooter B here last Friday and will give a great sight if she can hold up at the start. BETTORS PRIDE (4) and SPYGLASS (6) couldn’t make up ground in a quick last half in the 4&5YO Championship but both look better suited here. BLAZING REACTOR (3) crossed from a similar draw when a 1.55.6 winner at his last start and will give them something to catch if he can find the front in the early stages. Tips: 1 4 6 3 Suggested Bet: ACUSHLA MAREE (1) to win. Race 8 DIAMOND WORLD (1) raced well without winning towards the end of her last campaign and her recent Pinjarra trial indicated that she should be in for a good campaign. She looks the likely leader and will give a sight in that role. DOUBLE THE ANTE (11) ran on nicely to finish 3rd in a stronger field here last week and will be charging home. DOUSEEME (2) disappointed first-up but must be considered on her form last time in. BACK ON LINE (9) has recorded back-to-back victories but will need a solid tempo to help him bring up the hat-trick. Tips: 1 11 2 9 Suggested Bet: DIAMOND WORLD (1) to win. Race 9 PATCHED (9) and THATS NOT MY GAIT (4) are stablemates who dead-heated at Bunbury recently and it looks likely they will fight out the finish of this race as well. CHUMANI (6) has finished 2nd to PATCHED (9) at his last two starts and should be in the finish again. MAJESTIC GA GA (7) has plenty of ability but can’t afford to make the mistakes he has been making in this class. Tips: 9 4 6 7 Suggested Bet: PATCHED (9) to win. Race 10 WAVES OF FORTUNE (2) faced the breeze when a game 2nd to TOBY GEORGE (5) on Monday and I think he can turn the tables from his nice barrier. TOBY GEORGE (5) worked to the front in that event and will be extremely hard to beat if he can find that position again. TRIXIE DORA (4) was having her first race start when finishing a close-up 3rd behind the favoured pair and doesn’t have to improve much to challenge those two colts. GENTLEMANS PROMISE (3) has finished 2nd at both race starts and won’t be far away. Tips: 2 5 4 3 Suggested Bet: WAVES OF FORTUNE (2) to win. Market Market
