Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 27, 2025March 27, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 VANDERBILT (6) is racing extremely consistently and went to a new level when a 1.55.7 Pinjarra winner at his last start. He has the strength to push forward to the breeze early and will be very hard to beat. MIKIPELO (12) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last two starts and will be suited if there is a solid tempo. CHASING HILL (4) went too quick in the middle stages when well beaten by the favourite at his last start but can figure here. BET ON THE RIVER (2) goes up in class but is drawn well and should be prominent throughout. Tips: 6 12 4 2 Suggested Bet: VANDERBILT (6) to win. Race 2 BLAZE AWAY (9) worked his way to the front when a strong 9m winner at his last start and is the one to beat again despite the wide draw. AT THE POINTY END (12) chased hard when 2nd in that event and can turn the tables if the favourite is forced to work in the early and middle stages. RELLIM (8) has finished 2nd in three of his last four starts and should be thereabouts again. SIDSTREPO (3) can figure if he can land in a favourable trailing position. Tips: 9 12 8 3 Suggested Bet: BLAZE AWAY (9) to win. Race 3 HUGOTASTIC (11) arrived in WA with a big reputation and lived up to it with a dominant first-up victory and meets a similar line-up tonight. CEE DEE THREE (8) is best suited in a race with a solid tempo and he should get that scenario tonight. OVERLY EXCITED (12) and NO NONEY (10) filled the placing behind the favourite at their last start and can be in the money but both have awkward draws to overcome. Tips: 11 8 12 10 Suggested Bet: HUGOTASTIC (11) to win. Race 4 JUSTCALLMEMIKI (7) has impressed with three all-the-way victories since crossing the Tasman and is clearly the one to beat but may not get the front easily tonight. LONGREACH BAY (5) has won three of his last four starts in good time and could elect to hold the front and test the favourite here. LORD TITANIUM (10) will need luck from this draw but will be suited if they run along. MONTANA DJ (8) faced the breeze when a game 2nd to JUSTCALLME MIKI (7) at his last start and must be included. Tips: 7 5 10 8 Suggested Bet: JUSTCALLMEMIKI (7) to win. Race 5 ROCKANDROLLARTIST (4) disappointed at his last start but he has been freshened up and will be hard to catch over the sprint trip if he can use his blistering gate speed to cross at the start. DALVEY ROBYN (9) will need a fast first quarter to bring him into the race but he likes the sprint trip and can overcome the wide draw. EL CHEMA (8) is another who will need a solid tempo to figure but his last start indicated that he can sprint over them if the race is run to suit. MY ULTIMATE CHEVRON (1) is drawn to be prominent throughout and can figure. Tips: 4 9 8 1 Suggested Bet: ROCKANDROLLARTIST (4) to win. Race 6 THELITTLE MASTER (1) went against his normal racing pattern when leading at his last start and looked home before knocking up late to finish 3rd. He is likely to get away with a bit more up front tonight and appeals as the one to beat. MAGNUS VICTOR (7) was beaten in a photo finish in that event and looms as a big danger again. ALL IS WELL (5) didn’t have the race run to suit first-up but will strip fitter and is suited in this class. PRINCESS KATIE (2) was a great 2nd at her last start and is likely to enjoy a nice run behind the speed tonight. Tips: 1 7 5 2 Suggested Bet: THELITTLE MASTER (1) to win. Race 7 MANHATTAN RUBY (4) has been an impressive winner of her last two starts and the barrier advantage she enjoys over her main rivals makes her the one to beat here. NOBLE THORONDOR (10) looked a certainty beaten at his last start and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time from his awkward barrier. BEATITLIKEBECA (12) is a nice type and who can be put into the race if the tempo suits. HOLD THE AMMO (11) has had excuses recently and can improve from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 4 10 12 11 Suggested Bet: MANHATTAN RUBY (4) to win. Race 8 KURIOUS BOY (9) resumed with a strong Northam win and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. DRIVE LINE (6) started from the back line when 3rd in that event and could turn the tables with the barrier advantage tonight. MISS UNNEEK (12) defeated CHRIEF COPY (11) at their last start and both loom as major players here, particularly if the favoured pair do too much work in the early stages. Tips: 9 6 12 11 Suggested Bet: KURIOUS BOY (9) to win. Race 9 LOW FLYIN (4) has only recorded one win from 20 career starts but has found the right field to improve on that record. He finished a narrow 2nd to BACK ON LINE (10) at his last start but has the barrier advantage tonight and can turn the table. BACK ON LINE (10) is an obvious danger and will be a charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. CONTROL QUEEN (10 couldn’t have had an easier time out in front at Pinjarra when beaten in moderate time but should be thereabouts from the pole. TELKEM JAY (11) was placed behind the favoured duo at his last start and can be in the money again. Tips: 4 10 1 11 Suggested Bet: LOW FLYIN (4) to win. Race 10 MONTANA GLORY (2) has been racing well without winning recently but she looks the leader here and gets her chance to break back into the winners’ circle. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (1) is a ghood sit and sprint type who should get the perfect trip and will be dangerous late. FRANCO ECUADOR (4) has looked sharp at his last two starts and can make his presence felt. SPYGLASS (5) probably has the best form in the race but has a slightly awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 2 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: MONTANA GLORY (2) to win. Market Market
