Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 20, 2025March 21, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 REINETTE (2) is a proven filly who disappointed at her last start when beaten into 3rd by ITS MAA TIME (8) and DELULU (5) after leading and having every chance. You couldn’t back her on that performance but her previous form was excellent if you can forgive her last start effort. ITS MAA TIME (8) overcame a backline draw to win that race and there is no reason why she can’t win again. QUINTESSA (7) is undefeated in her three race starts but has led throughout on those occasions and won’t find it as easy tonight. ISEEUBABY (1) disappointed first-up but she has plenty of ability and looks a big improver from the pole. Tips: 2 8 1 7 Suggested Bet: REINETTE (2) to win. Race 2 CYCLONE JORDY (10) has resumed three comfortable wins against older and should win again despite the slight class rise and back line draw. He is the only runner on the back line so should get into the moving line early and has options from there. ILLAWONG MUSTANG (1) looks the leader and will be extremely hard to beat for 2nd if the favourite makes an early move and gives him the trail. MONTANA GLORY (5) has been racing in collectively better fields but doesn’t map well here. ACUTO (2) ran 3rd to CYCLONE JORDY (10) here last week and should enjoy a soft run on the pegs. Tips: 10 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE JORDY (10) to win. Race 3 WAVERIDER (7) couldn’t make ground in a quick last half at his last start but his previous form was first class and he can be driven aggressively here if desired and should prove hard to beat. DALVEY ROBYN (9) was off the track when they sprinted when 5th to Soho Santorini here last week and can be right in the finish at each way odds with a bit of luck in running. THE LITTLEMASTER (4) goes best when driven conservatively and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. MAGNUS VICTOR (7) continues to race well and has the gate speed to put himself in a prominent position. Tips: 7 9 4 8 Suggested Bet: WAVERIDER (7) to win. Race 4 TENZING BROMAC (3) resumed with a nice 4th to Minstrel in the Pinjarra Cup and appeals as the one to beat in this line-up. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (6) faced the breeze when a solid 3rd at his first run back from a spell and should be in the finish again. MIGHTY RONALDO (8) has been placed in both starts this time in and will be charging home but they might run this at a moderate tempo which won’t suit. TALKS UP A STORM (5) may cross at the start and he has trialled well enough to give some cheek if that does occur. Tips: 3 6 8 5 Suggested Bet: TENZING BROMAC (3) to win. Race 5 WISHING BELLE (5) was an impressive winner on debut and then chased hard when 2nd to the smart Ma Petite Dame in the Sales Classic Final. She then led throughout to defeat MISS RED VELVET (6) here last week and is the one to beat again. MISS RED VELVET (6) faced the breeze and was game in defeat and can turn the tables with the right run in transit. CUGACH (4) has won both of his race starts and can beat the fillies, particularly if he can hold them out at the start. WHERES MY HALO (2) is a last start winner but will have to go to another level if he is to beat the favoured trio. Tips: 5 6 4 2 Suggested Bet: WISHING BELLE (5) to win. Race 6 BELLY UP (5) has resumed with two nice 2nds and should prove hard to beat at his third run back from a spell. MY WATCHLIST (7) is an injury plagues 6YO only having his 11th race start and resumes without a trial but he has plenty of ability so monitor the betting. WICKED HUSTLER (2) is drawn inside his main rivals and will give some cheek if he can maintain that advantage in the early stages. ALLWOOD MACH (4) is racing consistently and won’t be far away. Tips: 5 7 2 4 Suggested Bet: BELLY UP (5) to win. Race 7 MADAM PUBLISHER (9) loomed up but dies on her run when a first-up 5th at Pinjarra on Monday. She will strip fitter for that effort and had the turn of foot needed to overcome the wide draw. PRINCESS KATIE (8) faced the breeze when a narrow but strong winner here last week and should fight out the finish again. ALTA ALLURE (6) found the pace a bit too hot against some of the state’s top mares but did win her two previous starts and can figure here. BETTAGETONPIP (5) hasn’t been suited by wide draws but will give the older mares something to catch if she can find the front. Tips: 9 8 6 5 Suggested Bet: MADAM PUBLISHER (9) to win. Race 8 CORDERO (2) is racing well and is a great each way chance from this barrier. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (3) was a nice 2nd here last week and can one better if he gets the right trip. HIGH PRICE (5) chased hard when 5th in the Mount Eden Sprint in state record time and will give a great sight if he handles the quick back-up. EL CHEMA (5) has the ability but his two runs back from a spell have been inconclusive. Numbers 6,7,8 are all capable of winning so it might be worth going wide in the final leg of the quaddie. Tips: 2 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: CORDERO (2) each way. Race 9 CHUMANI (4) is racing extremely well and will be hard to beat if he trots safely throughout. LINE THE STARZZZ (5) has been placed at her last two starts and should be thereabouts again. PATCHED (8) has been a length or two below his best at his last starts and has a 40m handicap to overcome but is too good to dismiss. ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (6) has been doing things wrong at the mobile start recently but may enjoy being back in a stand. Tips: 4 5 8 6 Suggested Bet: CHUMANI (4) to win. Market Market
