Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 6, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 THE ART FORM (9) won six on end before being caught in the breeze when a game 2nd to Fizzing here last week. He is drawn wide again but still appeals as the one to beat. ROYAL MACH (12) was a strong 2nd here last week and looks the main danger despite the backline draw. MCARDLES GEM (3) ran a nice 4th in the Fizzing race and shouldn’t be far away from this barrier. TISADREAM (8) has disappointed at his last three starts but is capable of bouncing back. Tips: 9 12 3 8 Suggested Bet: THE ART FORM (9) to win. Race 2 TALKTOMEURMATTJESTY (3) has been unplaced at his past five runs but his last start 4th to Our Max Phactor had plenty of merit. He is drawn inside his main rivals and should give a great sight. HANDSANDWHEELS (4) has won two of his five starts this time in and has the gate speed to make things interesting early. IM SOXY (9) ran 3rd in the Bunbury Cup and drops in class tonight but has a horror draw to overcome. KIMANI (12) hasn’t finished further back than 2nd in his five starts this time in but this is his biggest test to date. Tips: 4 5 9 12 Suggested Bet: TALKTOMEURMATTJESTY (3) to win. Race 3 SAYING GRACE (10) has impressed in racing his way through the grades before being narrowly beaten off a 40m handicap last start. He is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and will be dangerous if he sees daylight. LIVURA (1) had disappointed this time in but found the front and was impressive in beating weaker company last start and should give them something to catch. STEFSBEST (8) has been racing against the state’s best 4YO’s and will appreciate the drop in class. CARTER MICHEAL (2) is racing well and can be in the money. Tips: 10 1 8 2 Suggested Bet: SAYING GRACE (10) each way. Race 4 JACK MAC (10) has won 15 of his 22 career starts and lost no admirers when doing all the work from a wide draw and battling on well to finish 6th in a hot race last week. This looks easier and he can bounce back into the winners’ circle. SWEET N FAST (1) ran on well to finish 2nd on Monday and is perfectly drawn tonight. THISBEACHRIGHTHERE (2) has impressed in winning his three starts this time in and is ready for the rise in class. BETTOR B ABELIEVER (5) was a solid first-up winner and can be competetive at this level. Tips: 10 1 2 5 Suggested Bet: JACK MAC (10) to win. Race 5 EDEN FRANCO (9) hasn’t missed a place in her last 11 starts and has proven that she can work hard in her races and still figure in the finish. She has a wide draw to overcome but is flying and is still the one to beat. MACZAFFAIR (12) had a lovely run when defeating EDEN FRANCO (9) three starts back and can repeat the dose with the right trip. TRICKY STYX (1) drops back to mares’ company and has the perfect draw but doesn’t appear at her top. OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (8) is the new girl on the block but can figure prominently. Tips: 9 12 1 8 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (12) each way. Race 6 SIMBA BROMAC (2) has won 19 of his 31 starts and warmed up for his return with a recent trial win. This is his biggest test to date but he looks a good chance to find the top and would prove hard to catch in that role. EL JACKO (1) was crossed from this barrier two starts back but will give a sight whether he leads or is sitting on the pace. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (5) has been placed at his first two starts back from a spell and should be thereabouts again. ROCK DIAMONDS (3) will enjoy a nice run in transit and can surprise. Tips: 2 1 5 3 Suggested Bet: SIMBA BROMAC (2) to win. Race 7 OUR MAX PHACTOR (8) has won ten of his past 11 starts and is no stranger to standing start events. This is the best field he has met but is still the one to beat. AS HAPPY AS LARRY (5) was a gallant 2nd to Mitch Maguire here last week and can win this with the right run. MR MOJITO (7) showed something like his best form at his first run in the Olivieri camp and will strip fitter for that effort. BETTOR BE LIVELY (4) has a good strike rate and warmed up for this with a recent Pinjarra trial win. Tips: 8 5 7 4 Suggested Bet: OUR MAX PHACTOR (8) to win. Race 8 BETTORS ANGEL (1) defeated Beaudiene Beach Babe from this draw four starts back and her subsequent efforts have been sound. She is drawn to either lead or get a lovely sit on the speed and should be right in the finish. INNOCENT AFFAIR (2) has won three of her last four starts and will be hard to catch if she crosses at the start. MILLWOOD BRANDY (4) has been facing the breeze and fighting on well and can figure. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (6) drops in class for this assignment and can win with the right cart into the race. Tips: 1 2 4 6 Suggested Bet: BETTORS ANGEL (1) to win. Race 9 SCOTLYNN BEACH (2) has been placed at four of his last five starts and should break through soon. He was held up until too late but flashed home for a narrow 2nd here last week and can go one better from this draw. BAYLAN JETT (5) has won three of his last four starts and is up to the rise in class. MACHIATO (6) may cross at the start and would give them something to catch in that role. FREE TO AIR (1) won here a fortnight ago and will get a similar run just behind the speed. Tips: 2 3 6 1 Suggested Bet: SCOTLYNN BEACH (2) to win. Race 10 LUIS ALBERTO (2) now has a losing sequence of 13 and doesn’t appear to be the most genuine horse but his form is solid. He has finished 2nd at his past two starts and he won’t find a better chance to break back into the winners’ circle. THE ARSONIST (3) has mixed his form in three runs back from a long spell but would be right in this if he reproduced his effort from two starts back. MACHRIE (1) has been placed at big odds at his past two starts and must be considered from the draw. ALL THE WHISPERS (6) can play a part tonight. Tips: 2 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: LUIS ALBERTO (2) to win. Market Market
