Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 13, 2025March 13, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 GAITCRASHER (3) has resumed with two impressive victories and has recorded slick closing sectionals. He is drawn inside his main rival tonight and is clearly the one to beat. KINGSEAT (4) followed a good 4th in a strong field at this track with a 16 metre Bunbury win and is the obvious danger. KINSAABI (6) and MAJOR CLASS (12) fought out the finish in a Northam event and both have the strength to make their presence felt tonight. Tips: 3 4 6 12 Suggested Bet: GAITCRASHER (3) to win. Race 2 SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (1) is racing well and has finished 2nd at his last two starts. His gate speed is questionable but he can still win this if he gets crossed at the start and gets some luck in running. LEAVE YOUR HAT ON (9) defeated SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (1) at Narrogin before working too hard in the run at her last start and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. TA IN ADVANCE (10) is a last start winner who will enjoy a lovely run if the polemarker can hold up at the start. LADY DELA HOYA (4) will strip fitter for her first-up 3rd and is a chance to cross at the start. Tips: 1 9 10 4 Suggested Bet: SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (1) to win. Race 3 CHILLI PUNTER (1) was a big drifter in the market and ran accordingly two starts back but overcame a wide draw to run a much improved 4th at her last start and appeals as the one to beat from the pole. PRINCESS KATIE (7) has been finishing just behind the placegetters in stronger company and will appreciate the drop in class. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (4) hasn’t had much luck in her recent starts and can improve sharply. HUNT THE MAGIC (9) will need some luck from out here but her form is good enough to consider her at good each way odds. Tips: 1 7 4 9 Suggested Bet: CHILLI PUNTER (1) to win. Race 4 CHASING HILL (5) has resumed with two solid efforts and should be ready to go tonight. He looks a good chance to find the front and will be hard to beat if he can take up that position. COLD HARD CASH (7) only had one start last time in and hasn’t been seen at trials but has ability so monitor the betting. MIKIPELO (9) is very consistent and the wide draw is offset by the drop in class. THE WILDCARD (3) will be a place chance if he can cross and then sit on the speed. Tips: 5 7 9 3 Suggested Bet: CHASING HILL (5) to win. Race 5 STAR CASINO (2) has produced strong efforts to finish 2nd at his last two starts and will give them something to catch if he can work his way to the front in the early stages. DALVEY ROBYN (9) has the best form in the event and should be in the finish but he has a tough draw to overcome. MAGNUS VICTOR (7) is versatile and at the top of his game but will need some luck from out here. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (1) has only been placed once in his last 11 starts but should enjoy a nice run just behind the speed and can improve sharply. Tips: 2 9 7 1 Suggested Bet: STAR CASINO (2) each way. Race 6 MIKI WINDERMERE (9) broke through for his maiden victory when leading throughout from the pole at his last start. He goes to the outside barrier here but this isn’t a strong field and he should prove hard to beat. ALREDDY FLYIN (1) led throughout in moderate time at her last start and will give them something to catch again. SHALINI (4) is an inexperienced mare but ran a nice 2nd at her fourth race start and should be worth following. SWITCH BLADE (6) followed a Pinjarra win with a nice 3rd to MIKI WINDERMERE (9) after facing the breeze and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 9 1 4 6 Suggested Bet: MIKI WINDERMERE (9) to win. Race 7 WISHING BELLE (1) was an impressive winner on debut and then chased hard when 2nd to the smart Ma Petite Dame in the Sales Classic Final. She comes up with the pole draw tonight and will be extremely hard to beat if she can hold up at the start. MISS RED VELVET (4) was also an impressive first-up winner and didn’t lose too many admirers when 2nd at her only other start and is the obvious danger. CINCH (7) did plenty wrong but still managed to win at her 2nd race start but has a tough draw to overcome. THE SEA SIREN (2) has trialled nicely and can be placed at her race debut. Tips: 1 4 7 2 Suggested Bet: WISHING BELLE (1) to win. Race 8 CHUMANI (5) looked back to his best when defeating PATCHED (7) here last week and should give a great sight again. NICKYS SON (4) is racing very consistently and has the big advantage of being drawn inside his main rivals. PATCHED (7) has finished 1st or 2nd in his past eight starts and should fight out the finish again but he did have every chance when beaten by CHUMANI (5) last week. LINE THE STARZZZ (8) ran on well to be placed behind two of the favoured runners and will be running on again. Tips: 5 4 7 8 Suggested Bet: CHUMANI (5) to win. Race 9 MONTANA DJ (2) has been well backed when beaten at his two runs back from a spell but has had excuses. He will either lead or enjoy a nice run behind the speed tonight and should fight out the finish under either scenario. HILLVIEW BONDI (7) is a strong stayer who drops in class here and will make his presence felt. SHOWPONY (1) has options at the start but may not be racing at his best. MAUNGATAHI (3) is versatile and can win a race of this nature if it is run to suit. Tips: 2 7 1 3 Suggested Bet: MONTANA DJ (2) to win. Race 10 CYCLONE JORDY (8) is too good for these and will be winning again. ACUTO (1) hit the gate before release but recovered to run 3rd in the Village Kid Sprint and looks a good place chance from the pole. LORD TITANIUM (5) is racing well and will be running on if there is a solid early tempo. NAVY STREET (5) led and then sat on CYCLONE JORDY (8) when a distant 2nd here last week and will be looking to do the same again. Tips: 8 1 5 4 Suggested Bet: LORD TITANIUM (5) to place.
