Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 20, 2024June 20, 2024 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 TUALOU (11) has impressed with two wins and a 2nd from his three starts since crossing the Tasman and looks ready for the rise in class. BETTOR ARCADE (8) backed up an all-the-way Pinjarra win with a game Bunbury victory when he worked hard in the final lap and is capable of overcoming his wide draw. CABERNEIGH (5) led when a close 2nd in that event and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start again. ATLAS THE TITAN (9) is drawn poorly and goes up in distance but his times indicate he is in for a bright career. Tips: 11 8 5 9 Suggested Bet: BETTOR ARCADE (8) each way. Race 2 BLAZE ON (3) won three on end before having to do too much work in the early stages at his last start. He looks a good chance to find the front tonight and will be hard to catch in that role. MONTANA DJ (10) has been a beaten favourite at his two starts in WA but he hasn’t handled the stand in those events and will be better suited by the mobile if he has any luck from his awkward draw. FEELING ACES (1) follows speed well and looks a great place chance. SORRIDERE (7) has won three out of his last four starts and will be dangerous if he gets the right cart into the race. Tips: 3 10 1 7 Suggested Bet: BLAZE ON (3) to win. Race 3 MACHS BETTOR (1) flashed home to score an impressive victory here last week and is clearly the one to beat after coming up with the pole draw. LUSAKA (6) continues to race well in strong fields and his versatility should see him in the finish however the race is run. PAUL EDWARD (5) followed an impressive trial with a brilliant first-up win and looks the other major winning chance. FRANCO ECUADOR (3) has been very disappointing and costly to punters but is too good to dismiss. Tips: 1 6 5 3 Suggested Bet: MACHS BETTOR (1) to win. Race 4 JETT STAR (7) followed two comfortable victories with a fast-finishing 3rd here last week and this looks a more suitable assignment. MAGNUS VICTOR (6) had no luck here last week but his previous form was full of merit and he looks a great each way chance. ROLLING FIRE (8) looked to have his chance when 3rd at his last start but he will strip fitter for that effort and he is a classy customer at his best. HILLVIEW BONDI (3) has the barrier advantage over his main rivals and he will be hard to catch if he can bully his way to the top. Tips: 7 6 8 3 Suggested Bet: MAGNUS VICTOR (6) each way. Race 5 SOHO SERAPHINE (1) returns to racing after a failed NSW trip and hasn’t trialled for his return but has plenty of ability so monitor the betting. ACHARNE GIRL (10) is racing well and will be hard to hold to out if she sees daylight at the right time. THREE RUMOURS (11) looked back to her best when winning here at her last start and should make her presence felt. QUEENINTHECORNER (2) would be hard to beat on her consecutive all-the-way wins in good time but she disappointed when beaten as a $1.60 favourite here last week. Tips: 1 10 11 2 Suggested Bet: ACHARNE GIRL (10) each way. Race 6 JUMPINGJACKMAC (6) has finished 1st or 2nd at his past five starts and will be hard to beat here as long as there is a reasonably solid tempo in the early stages. DIEGO (3) will be extremely hard to beat if he is handed the lead here but isn’t as effective when off the pegs. STEEL THE SHOW (4) is the second best horse in the event but it is hard to see this being run to suit his chances. HAMPTON BANNER (2) has good gate speed and he can give some cheek at odds if he doesn’t have to run a quick lead time. Tips: 6 3 4 2 Suggested Bet: JUMPINGJACKMAC (6) to win. Race 7 CLOUD NINE (1) has been placed at big odds at his last two starts and looks a major player from the pole for his new stable. YOURE SO FINE (8) endured a brutal run when beaten 34 metres as a $1.14 favourite but is capable of bouncing back here if he hasn’t taken any harm from that effort. FLYING RUMOUR (5) raced extremely well last time in and will give a great sight if he is near his best first-up. NAVY STREET (10) was involved in that war with YOURE SO FINE (8) when a distant last in that event but can be placed here from a softer run. Tips: 1 8 5 10 Suggested Bet: CLOUD NINE (1) to win. Race 8 LAMANDIER (1) was unplaced in his last five starts before a spell and resumes here without a trial but he performs well at this distance and appeals as the one to beat from the pole. RASCAL (10) looked disappointing here last week but he did suffer a flat tyre at the bell and he should be a big improver tonight. ETON ROCK (4) ran a nice 4th first-up after a nine-month absence and he will strip fitter for that effort. FIREROCKFIREROLL (3) has good gate speed and he will give as great sight if he can cross at the start. Tips: 1 10 4 3 Suggested Bet: RASCAL (10) each way. Race 9 DARK EYES (2) has been unplaced at his last three starts but he looks the leader tonight and he will give a great sight in that role. RATTLIN LILLY (3) is a strong staying type who has performed well against that racing pattern at her last two starts but can be driven to her strengths tonight. CHILLIN (4) couldn’t get into the race first-up but has ability and can play a part. SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (1) doesn’t have the class of the three favourites but looks a great place chance from the pole. Tips: 2 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: DARK EYES (2) to win. Race 10 BETTAGETONPIP (6) has resumed with two comfortable wins in good time and is clearly the one to beat despite the wide draw. ISEEUBABY (1) showed plenty of her ability in her two starts in her first campaign and can test the favourite if she is anywhere near her best. WINTER WONDER (4) looks a promising type who hasn’t trialled for her return so monitor the betting. RUBY LOU (2) will enjoy a better run tonight and can be placed. Tips: 6 1 4 2 Suggested Bet: BETTAGETONPIP (6) to win. Market Market
