Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 6, 2024June 6, 2024 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 PRINCE OF PAIN (1) led throughout at Pinjarra four starts and his subsequent efforts have been sound. He looks the leader from the pole and should prove hard to catch. GULLY GUM (2) has only missed a place once in his ten-start career and has the strength to make his presence felt. LINEBACKER (11) has won two of his last three starts in easier company and should enjoy a lovely run just behind the favoured pair here. WINEGUM (10) will also enjoy a nice run behind the speed but will need some luck to find clear running. Tips: 1 2 11 10 Suggested Bet: PRINCE OF PAIN (1) to win. Race 2 YOURE SO FINE (4) has finished just behind the placegetters at his two runs back from a spell but drops significantly in class tonight and is clearly the one to beat. NAVY STREET (3) hit the line well when 3rd here last week and should be prominent throughout. LIL HAPPY FELLA (9) has impressed in his two starts for a new stable but will need some luck from out here. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (1) hasn’t had much luck of late and can be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 4 3 9 1 Suggested Bet: YOURE SO FINE (4) to win. Race 3 THREE RUMOUR (3) will find this easier than her last-start 4th in quick time and she appeals as the one to beat. BLAZE COOPS (2) disappointed at the end of her last campaign but she has trialled nicely for her return and will give a great sight if she can finds the front. SOHO RAPSODY (6) crosses the Nullabor with good Menangle form and must be respected. STORMYSKYES (7) continues to race well and can be in the money at big odds again. Tips: 3 2 6 7 Suggested Bet: THREE RUMOUR (3) to win. Race 4 JETT STAR (1) broke through for a well-deserved win here at his last start and will be extremely hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. MAGNUS VICTOR (2) has resumed from a spell in top form and should fight out the finish again. ARMA XFACTOR (5) led throughout in quick time here two starts back and looks the other winning chance. ELDAYTONA (3) has been unplaced at his last five starts but should get a nice run behind the speed and can be in the money. Tips: 1 2 5 3 Suggested Bet: JETT STAR (1) to win. Race 5 HALE SAINT LOUIE (1) overcame a wide draw to record an impressive win here last week and is now the one to beat from the pole here. PAUL EDWARD (10) has trialled very well for his return and looks a good each way chance from his trailing draw. BLAZE ON (5) has used his good gate speed to win three on end and must be respected despite the rise in class. MAUNGATAHI (6) also rises in class after winning three on end but should be charging home. Tips: 1 10 5 6 Suggested Bet: HALE SAINT LOUIE (1) to win. Race 6 STEEL THE SHOW (5) faced the breeze when a close-up 4th to Finvarra here last week and can win this event if he receives a better run in transit. WILDWEST (2) ran a nice 2nd in that event and has the barrier advantage over his main rivals. HAMPTON BANNER (3) has very good gate speed and he will give plenty of cheek if he can cross at the start. DIEGO (4) isa lot more effective on the pegs but his last effort was full of merit and he looks the other winning chance. Tips: 5 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: STEEL THE SHOW (5) to win. Race 7 ROCKMYSTER (3) wasn’t far away when 4th to ROLLING FIRE (5) at his last start and can turn the tables if he can press forward and find the front in the early stages. ROLLING FIRE (5) enjoyed a nice run when defeating a similar field at his last start and will be improved for that effort. LUSAKA (4) ran on well to finish 3rd in that event and is drawn to make his presence felt here. THE MIKI TAKER (1) is likely to be crossed at the start but will be charging home if he can see daylight at the right time. Tips: 3 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: ROCKMYSTER (3) to win. Race 8 ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (8) has had the race run to suit when winning his last two starts and should give a good sight at each way odds again. EVAS IMAGE (5) has finished just behind the placegetters at her last three starts but should be thereabouts with the right run. THATS NOT MY GAIT (7) has the best form in the event and must be respected. CHUMANI (2) is a remarkably consistent trotter who will be prominent throughout. Tips: 8 5 7 2 Suggested Bet: ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (8) each way. Race 9 HIGHVIEW HEIDI (8) has resumed with two impressive victories including a 1.56.5 win from the breeze at her last start. She goes up in class tonight and is drawn poorly but has a race fitness advantage over her main rivals. QUINTESSA (2) is hard to line up as her trial win in April was in moderate time but she looks a likely type. BETTAGETONPIP (5) raced well in her first campaign and resumes here without a trial so monitor the betting. STELLA DELIZIOSA (1) resumes and showed ability last time in. Tips: 8 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: HIGHVIEW HEIDI (8) to win. Race 10 GEE SMITH (4) has a losing sequence of 30 so can’t be tipped with any confidence but he is racing well enough to win a race of this nature. SWAGGER MAN (8) ran a nice 2nd here on Tuesday and is the horse in this field with the most upside. WALSH (10) ran 2nd in a similar event here last week and can be placed again. CHAMBRAY (5) has ability and would give a great sight if he could find the front. Tips: 4 8 10 5 Suggested Bet: GEE SMITH (4) each way. Market Market
