IDEAL TOMADO (10) couldn’t get into the race last week but will be hard to hold out here if he sees daylight at the right time. CHEER THE MAJOR (1) led throughout here in 1.57.9 three starts back and should lead and give a great sight again. NOTED (9) led throughout to defeat the talented Tricky Miki to bring up his third consecutive win at his last start but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 11 10 1 9 Suggested Bet: THE MIKI TAKER (11) each way. Race 2 VALENTINES BROOK (8) has finished 2nd at his last three starts in stronger company and will appreciate a significant drop in class on his 2nd to Magnificent Storm in the Narrogin Cup. WITHOUTTHETUH (2) was a solid 4th at his first start back from a spell and should lead and give a great sight tonight. WAIT FOR THE BELL (1) is drawn to get a soft run behind the speed and should be right in the finish. GRAN CHICO (3) has been placed in three of his past five runs and shouldn’t be far away from his nice draw. Tips: 8 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (8) to win. Race 3 IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (4) was a good winner here two starts back before finishing on the winners’ back here last week and should give a great sight tonight after drawing inside his main rivals. JAMES BUTT (5) was an impressive 1.54.2 all-the-way winner at his last start but hasn’t been seen for six weeks. MEA CULPA (7) didn’t have much luck here last week but should play a part in the finish tonight. CLASSIC CHOICE (8) faced the breeze when a strong 3rd here last week but looks set for a tough run again. Tips: 4 5 7 8 Suggested Bet: IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (4) to win. Race 4 MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) didn’t get out in the Nullabor before recording a dominant win in the Narrogin Cup and is clearly the one to beat despite the wide draw over the short trip. SANGUE REALE (1) and HAMPTON BANNER (2) are both quick beginners suited by the sprint distance and should be thereabouts. THE MUSTANG (7) has impressed with back-to-back victories but goes up in class and has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 6 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) to win. Race 5 EL CHEMA (5) has been slightly disappointing at his last two starts since recording a hat-trick of victories but this race is likely to be run at a solid tempo that will suit his sit-sprint style. SWINGBAND (7) lost form towards the end of his last campaigned but warmed up for this with an impressive Pinjarra trial win and must be considered. ELDAYTONA (3) has been placed in six of his eight starts this time in and will give a great sight if he can find the front. ARMA EINSTEIN (1) is versatile and has options at the start from his perfect draw. Tips: 5 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: EL CHEMA (5) each way. Race 6 TAKING THE MIKI (1) has impressed in winning four of her five starts this time in and will be hard to beat if she can hold up at the start. EIGHTEEN CARAT (10) defeated a similar field here two starts back and will be hard to hold out if she sees daylight at the right time. WONDERFUL TO FLY (7) faced the breeze when a gallant 3rd to EIGHTEEN CARAT (10) at her last start but could be in for a tough run again. SOVRANA (6) did cross TAKING THE MIKI (1) in the WA Oaks and can play a part at odds. Tips: 1 10 7 6 Suggested Bet: TAKING THE MIKI (1) to win. Race 7 MIDDLEPAGE (10) looked back to his best when defeating Ezana here last week and appeals as the one to beat but he has been unplaced in all three attempts from the stand. LAMANDIER (6) hasn’t been on his best behaviour recently but he is racing well and will win one of these events when he puts it all together. FIREROCKFIREROLL (11) ran a nice 2nd to Eighteen Carat here last week and has a good record from the tapes. DEEORSE (2) attempted to lead throughout when 3rd here last week and should give a sight at odds again. Tips: 10 6 11 2 Suggested Bet: MIDDLEPAGE (10) each way. Race 8 NEVER ENDING (5) is the reigning Australian 2YO of the year and his recent Pinjarra trial victory indicates that he has come back well. ROCKET CITY (4) led throughout in 1.55.2 here last week and can challenge the favourite with the aid of his better barrier. IM THE BLACK FLASH (6) has disappointed as an odds-on favourite in two of his last three starts but could get a nice run in transit here. HOTLY PURSUED (2) has been placed in three of his four starts this time in and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 5 4 6 2 Suggested Bet: NEVER ENDING (5) to win. Race 9 RASCAL (1) has a losing sequence of 11 but he ran a nice 3rd in stronger company here last week and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. KIMBLE (9) is the other class runner of the field but will be giving his main rival a head start. REGAL CHEVAL (2) has good gate speed and can make things interesting early but may elect just to trail the favourite. THE KRAKEN (6) is the next best. Tips: 1 9 2 6 Suggested Bet: RASCAL (1) to win. Race 10 HOTFOOT IT (3) worked hard to find the front and knocked up late to finish 4th here last week but will be hard to beat if he can cross easily at the start. DARDY BOY (8) has been placed in four of his last five starts and is the obvious danger but is drawn poorly. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (1) has been unplaced in his past ten starts but can improve from the pole. LET IT LINGA (10) has fair form in better company and has options at the start being the only horse on the second line. Tips: 3 8 1 10 Suggested Bet: HOTFOOT IT (3) to win. Market Market
