Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 15, 2022March 10, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 MASTER PUBLISHER (1) disappointed here last week when he had to do too much work but led throughout from this draw in 1.54.4 at his previous start and can bounce back tonight. IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (4) struggled to make ground in a quick last half here last week but will settle closer tonight and must be considered. MOONLITE DRIVE (10) is racing consistently and should be thereabouts if the polemarker leads. BEAT CITY (2) is drawn to be prominent throughout and can play a part. Tips: 1 4 10 2 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (1) to win. Race 2 STAMFORD (1) has been racing in strong 4YO company and looks the one to beat with the drop in class and pole draw. SUGAR STREET (2) was unfancied in betting when a narrow but impressive first-up winner and will strip fitter for that effort. ROCKSTAR REBEL (3) has led throughout to win two out of his last three starts but may find it harder to cross tonight. THE KRAKEN (10) led when a close 2nd here last week and looks a great place chance from this draw. Tips: 1 2 3 10 Suggested Bet: STAMFORD (1) to win. Race 3 EIGHTEEN CARAT (8) was a beaten favourite last start after working hard in the run and looks to be in for a similar trip tonight but still appeals as the one to beat. BETTOR GET IT ON (6) enjoyed a lovely run on the back of the EIGHTEEN CARAT (8) when she beat her last start and that scenario is likely again PLATINUM SPARKLE (11) has been battling bad draws but will enjoy a nice run in the moving line and can play a part. JUST FOR LOVE (2) has been placed in three of her last four starts and the rise in class is offset by her nice barrier. Tips: 8 6 11 2 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (8) to win. Race 4 PRINCE OF PLEASURE (2) won seven on end and hasn’t looked out of place in his two starts in Free For All company where he has battled bad barriers. He draws perfectly tonight and is clearly the one to beat. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (3) has resumed in solid form and looks the obvious danger. HAMPTON BANNER (6) will make things interesting if he uses his dazzling gate speed and can cross at the start. RAGAZZO MACH (5) should enjoy a nice run just off the speed and will be hitting the line strongly. Tips: 2 3 6 5 Suggested Bet: PRINCE OF PLEASURE (2) to win. Race 5 LAVRA JOE (4) led throughout to win the 4YO Classic three starts back and hasn’t had much luck in his subsequent runs. He can be driven aggressively here and will be hard to catch if he finds the front. MIGHTY RONALDO (3) has appeared to be just below his best at his three runs this time in but should be peaking for this assignment and should be right in the finish. JUMPINGJACKMAC (6) is the other class runner and can overcome his awkward draw. FINVARRA (1) has options at the start and must be considered from the pole. Tips: 4 3 6 1 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (4) to win. Race 6 GETN WIGGY WITHIT (1) hasn’t had much luck at his last three starts but looks a big improver from the pole draw and he will be hard to catch if he can hold up at the start. VULCAN STAR (3) hit the line nicely here last week and will be charging home again tonight. ARMED REACTOR (11) is an inconsistent type but he will run a big race if he puts his best foot forward. UNCONDITIONAL (2) has good gate speed and can make things interesting in the early stages. Tips: 1 3 11 2 Suggested Bet: GETN WIGGY WITHIT (1) to win. Race 7 JACK FARTHING (1) is a one-dimensional pacer who performs well when he leads and tends to struggle from back in the field. He has had bad draws at his first two runs back from a spell but looks the leader here and he should be hard to catch. HANDSANDWHEELS (3) didn’t recover his best form last time in but is the class runner of the field so monitor the betting first-up. GLENLEDI CHIEF (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and should be thereabouts. RASCAL (4) will settle just off the speed and can be in the money. Tips: 1 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: JACK FARTHING (1) to win. Race 8 CYCLONE CHARLOTTE (8) won two easier events before running on to defeat the boys in good time here last week. The wide draw over the sprint trip makes it tough but she has a very good turn of foot. LITTLE DARLING (12) broke through for a well-deserved win here at her last start and should fight out the finish again. CHEESE AND BICCYS (1) goes up in class on her last start win but she should give a great sight from the pole over the sprint trip. ELSAMAY (10) is a last-start winner drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 8 12 1 10 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE CHARLOTTE (8) to win. Race 9 AUSSIE SCOOTER (2) is racing consistently in stands and will give them something to catch if he can step to the front tonight. FIREROCKFIREROLL (9) continues to race extremely well in these events and should be right in the finish again. ORLANDO BLUE (7) was a good winner from the mobile here last week and looks a major player if he steps cleanly at his first stand run. COOPER (3) disappointed when he led and knocked up last week but can bounce back. Tips: 2 9 7 3 Suggested Bet: AUSSIE SCOOTER (2) to win. Race 10 STRIKE TEAM (1) resumes here without a trial but he raced in better company last time in and appeals as the one to beat from the pole draw. SHADOW ROLL (11) is the other class runner of the field and is the obvious danger. TUAS DELIGHT (10) races well on the pegs and looks a great place chance from his nice trailing draw. MISS SERENADE (5) goes up in class on her consecutive victories at this track but must be considered. Tips: 1 11 10 5 Suggested Bet: STRIKE TEAM (1) to win. Race 11 SKYLORD (6) is first-up without a trial but raced well in top company last time in and will be hard to beat if anywhere near his top. BRONZED (4) was a good all-the-way winner here last start and should be prominent throughout. SKIPPIN CLASS (3) has improved sharply to win his last two starts and is drawn inside his main rivals. HEZ ALL THE RAGE (5) was a 1.55.1 all-the-way winner two starts back and would give a great sight if he could find the top. Tips: 6 4 3 5 Suggested Bet: SKYLORD (6) to win. Market Market
