Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 13, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 ROCK ME OVER (1) has won five of his last six starts, including his last three and is ready for the rise in class. He will probably need to improve his best times to win here but is in form and has the perfect draw. CHIAROSCURO (5) was a 1.56.0 winner over this trip in June and will be hard to beat if anywhere near his top at his first run back from a break. KASEY JOHN (8) has the best form in the race but has a wide barrier to overcome. IM SOXY (4) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 5 8 4 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (1) to win. Race 2 TOUCH OF SUCCESS (2) was a good last start 2nd when starting from the back line and looks better suited here. He has blistering gate speed and will be very hard to catch over the sprint trip if he finds the top. COURAGE TELLS (7) drops significantly in class after two placings behind Vampiro but has a tough draw to overcome. NOTHING IN BETWEEN (1) led throughout from this draw in easier company two starts back and shouldn’t be far away. THE SPINSTER (8) was an impressive 1.54.5 winner here last week but isn’t as well drawn. Tips: 2 7 1 8 Suggested Bet: TOUCH OF SUCCESS (2) to win. Race 3 MISTER VERSACE (1) has been performing well in hot fields, including a 2.4m 2nd to Mitch Maguire here two starts back. He has options from the pole and should give a great sight. ARTHUR LOWE (10) was a solid all-the-way winner here last week and looks set to get a lovely run in transit tonight. MADAME MEILLAND (9) was ultra-impressive in winning by 20m at her first run back from a spell but has a horror draw to overcome. EXTREME PRINCE (6) was a solid 2nd to Speed Man last week and must be considered. Tips: 1 10 9 6 Suggested Bet: MISTER VERSACE (1) to win. Race 4 SPEED MAN (3) has won three of his last four, with the defeat being inflicted by King Of Swing. This is a big rise in class on his last two victories but he shows considerable promise and looks the one to beat. MOTU PREMIER (7) has a losing sequence of 17 but will appreciate not having to chase Chicago Bull tonight and looks the main danger. ANOTHER VINNIE (1) has been battling bad draws and could be an improver at nice odds. KERRIN JOSEPH (2) won well in weaker company last week and has the draw to be thereabouts. Tips: 3 7 1 2 Suggested Bet: SPEED MAN (3) to win. Race 5 DEVENDRA (1) led over this trip four starts back and was only beaten a head by Chicago Bull. He hasn’t been able to lead in his subsequent starts but gets his chance from the pole tonight and should give a sight. RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (4) has finished 2nd at his past three starts, two of them behind Chicago Bull and will be right in the finish again. VAMPIRO (7) defeated RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (4) to bring up a hat-trick and must be considered despite the draw. THE BUCKET LIST (3) is always a chance with the right run. Tips: 1 4 7 3 Suggested Bet: DEVENDRA (1) each way. Race 6 A BIT RUTHLESS (2) was beaten less than 6m when he attempted to lead throughout from a similar draw three starts back. This field is no stronger and he will be hard to catch if he finds the top. SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (10) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last few starts in considerably stronger company and will be hard to hold out if he has any luck from this draw. C C CHEVRON (4) is racing fairly and could be dangerous with the right run. ATTACK ON COMMAND (3) should be thereabouts from this draw. Tips: 2 10 4 3 Suggested Bet: A BIT RUTHLESS (2) to win. Race 7 DETROIT LILY (3) was an impressive winner here before facing the breeze when a strong 2nd to Im Stylish. This looks considerably easier and she should be winning. SUSIE ROCKS (8) did defeat Im Stylish four starts back and hasn’t had any luck since but has a wide draw to overcome. OUR JEREMES GEM (1) and MACHINE ELLE (10) are only racing fairly but both are drawn on the pegs and that could be the place to be in this event. Tips: 3 8 1 10 Suggested Bet: DETROIT LILY (3) to win. Race 8 FIZZING (12) was a strong winner at Pinjarra before finishing out of the placings in strong 3YO company. This represents a drop in class and is capable of overcoming the backline draw. BETTOR FINISH (4) was a strong 3rd to The Art Form after facing the breeze and is the best drawn of the main chances. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (9) ran on well to complete a hat-trick of victories last start but is drawn poorly. HES TALKING (1) isn’t racing at his top but may improve from the pole. Tips: 12 4 9 1 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (9) each way. Race 9 TWENTYNINE TWELVE (5) was a good all-the-way winner at Pinjarra before running a strong 2nd here last week. This looks no stronger and he is better drawn tonight. RUNAWAY THREE (9) disappointed last start but his previous form was good enough for him to overcome the wide draw. MIDNIGHT MAN (1) led when 2nd at Bunbury last start and should be thereabouts from the pole. KEEPER OF KEYS (2) faced the breeze when a solid 4th here last week and can be competitive with a more economical run in transit. Tips: 5 9 1 2 Suggested Bet: TWENTYNINE TWELVE (5) to win. Race 10 SUNROSE VILLAGE (5) has missed a place at his three starts this time in but ran a close up 6th here last week. He has gate speed and could represent value in an open affair. PUNTERS DREAM (7) hasn’t started since a solid 3rd at Bunbury in July but would be right in this if near his best. MACHRIE (6) was a fair 6th here last week and can be in the finish against this moderate line-up. IT AINT ROYAL (2) has been beaten a long way at his last three but could be a big improver tonight. Tips: 2 1 4 3 Suggested Bet: SUNROSE VILLAGE (5) each way. Market Market
