Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 11, 2022March 11, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BETTOR GET IT ON (3) led from a similar draw four starts back when recording a 1.56.5 victory. She has inferior mares drawn to her inside and should prove hard to beat if she can find the top again. ANGEL IN WHITE (10) has been brave in finishing 2nd at her past three starts and is the obvious danger but isn’t suited by the draw. MISS MUCHO (4) was an impressive last-start winner and should be thereabouts. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (9) is the class mare of the field but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 3 10 4 9 Suggested Bet: BETTOR GET IT ON (3) to win. Race 2 ROCKABALL (5) raced well at the end of his last campaign including a strong win from the breeze here in December and will give a great sight if near his top for his return. VALENTINES BROOK (10) is in great form and will be charging home if he has any luck from this draw. SPY MAJOR (2) has won two of his last three starts and will be the horse to beat if he finds the front. CROCODILE KID (1) was a strong 2nd from the breeze in good time four starts back and finally gets his chance to lead from the pole draw. Tips: 5 10 2 1 Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (10) each way. Race 3 IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (1) has won four of his six starts this time in and ran on from worse than midfield to finish 4th here last week. He looks the likely leader and is clearly the one to beat. ORLANDO BLUE (3) couldn’t get into the race when 7th in the same event but his previous form was solid and he looks the obvious danger. DONT BOTHER ME NONE (8) hasn’t lived up to expectations this campaign and is drawn wide but is too good to overlook. POWER AND GRACE (10) looks a good place chance from this draw. Tips: 1 3 8 10 Suggested Bet: IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (1) to win. Race 4 TO FAST TO SERIOUS (3) disappointed at his first run back from an injury-enforced layoff but looked back to himself when 3rd to Miracle Moose at his last start. He drops in class here and looks extremely hard to beat. ALICE KAY (4) was an impressive winner here last week and looks a good place chance from her nice draw. HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (5) faced the breeze when a solid 4th here last week and should be thereabouts again. OUR STAR WATCH (1) doesn’t have the class of his rivals but has the draw to be a place chance at odds. Tips: 3 4 5 1 Suggested Bets: TO FAST TO SERIOUS (3) to win. Race 5 THE MIKI TAKER (2) has won two of his last three starts and was held up for a run in the other when 3rd to Floewriter. He draws inside his main rival here and appeals as the one to beat. SWINGBAND (4) was ultra-impressive in running on from near the rear to win at his last start and is the obvious danger. MAUNGATAHI (1) split the two favourites when 2nd to SWINGBAND (4) two starts back and can play a part from the pole. MISTER MONTBLANC (3) should enjoy a nice run close to the speed and can be placed. Tips: 2 4 1 3 Suggested Bet: THE MIKI TAKER (2) to win. Race 6 FLAMETREE (1) worked hard in the run when a game 2nd here last week and can go one better from her perfect draw tonight. AUGUST MOON (2) ran on well to finish 2nd in the Sales Classic and looks the obvious danger from this barrier. AMERICAN MONARCH (6) was held up for a run when a close-up 4th last start and looks to have her fair share of ability. SWEET VIVIENNE (3) has been placed in two of her three starts and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 2 6 3 Suggested Bet: FLAMETREE (1) to win. Race 7 HITTHEROADJACK (3) has won four of his six starts this time in and was a strong 2nd to Vulcan Star from the breeze at his last start. This is an easier assignment and he is clearly the one to beat. LAWRENCE (10) was a n impressive last start winner and has a touch of class but has a 30m handicap to overcome. AMERICAN BULLITT (4) is in great form in similar standing start events and is always dangerous with the right run. CAPTURED DELIGHT (8) is racing out of her skin and won’t be far away. Tips: 3 10 4 8 Suggested Bet: HITTHEROADJACK (3) to win. Race 8 BETTORSTARTDREAMING (7) is very one-dimensional but he looks a good chance to find the top if driven aggressively in the early stages and will be hard to beat in that role. TELLMETOATTACK (1) has options at the start and should be a big improver from the pole. MCARDLES GEM (8) ran on well to be placed here last week and will be charging home again. ALLWOODS ROCKNROLL (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 7 1 8 10 Suggested Bet: BETTORSTARTDREAMING (7) to win. Race 9 MIGHTY RONALDO (2) has finished 2nd at his last two starts after facing the breeze. He can still win from that position tonight but looks a good chance to find the top. GALACTIC STAR (5) is the other class runner of the field and becomes a winning chance if the favourite has to do too much work. TYLER BRETT (1) has the speed to lead if desired and should be thereabouts under that scenario or if he takes a sit. CORDERO (6) upset Chicago Bull two starts back and will be running on. Tips: 2 5 1 6 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY RONALDO (2) to win. Race 10 JETT STAR (1) did things wrong at his first start back from a short break but has trialled nicely since and should be very hard to beat if he is on his best behaviour tonight. GIVE US A WAVE (3) disappointed at his first run back from a spell but can improve sharply. VALBONNE (4) is racing consistently and has the strength to be put into the race if needed. BARKLEY (6) suffered a flat tyre at his last start and has the ability to figure in the finish despite the wide draw. Tips: 1 3 4 6 Suggested Bet: JETT STAR (1) to win. Market Market
