Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 6, 2017April 6, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: SKY RACING REPLAYS MS PACE SHANDALE (10) finished near the rear at his last two NZ starts but that was behind the likes of Lazarus and Vincent. He warmed up for this with a dominant Byford trial win and looks capable of overcoming the second line draw. SUPERIMPOSED (8) is racing in great fashion, winning two on end before being held up and flashing home for 2nd last start and looks a player despite the draw. MEXICANO (1) was a solid 2nd last start and will appreciate the draw and sprint distance. CHALLENGING (7) is flying but looks more of a place chance. Tips: 10 8 1 7 Suggested Bet: SHANDALE (10) to win. Race 2: IN THE GIG MS PACE EYRE CRUSHER (12) resumed from a 23 month absence when he defied a betting drift by recording a dominant victory after facing the breeze. This field is stronger but he will be fitter for the run and is the one to beat. FERNLEIGH REBEL (1) grows a leg in front and hasn’t that opportunity for a while so looks a big improver. BUNGALOW BILL (8) is extremely consistent and is suited in this class. FOXY DAME (10) was a great 2nd to Major Reality last start and is drawn to be a great place chance again. Tips: 12 1 8 10 Suggested Bet: EYRE CRUSHER (12) to win. Race 3: FOLLOW @ SKYRACINGAU THE JOHNSON MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 1 MS PACE ALLTHEWAYTOTHEBANK (1) has led all of the way to win three out of four before leading and finding Bettor Reward too good. She looks the leader here and will give a great sight. THE SPINSTER (6) is extremely talented but disappointed at her return from a break when finishing midfield as a $1.70 favourite. She will be fitter for that run and can bounce back. BETTOR BOA (5) will appreciate a drop in class and can be a player. TAJIE BABY (10) looks a place chance from her trailing draw. Tips: 1 6 5 10 Suggested Bet: ALLTHEWAYTOTHEBANK (1) to win. Race 4: #SKYHARNESS WA OAKS PRELUDE MS PACE RED HOT ROXY (10) won three in a row to start this campaign before sitting at the rear and making up good ground to finish 3rd to IM STYLISH (11) in a quick last half. She is awkwardly drawn but has a touch of class and should give a great sight with any luck. IM STYLISH (11) won’t find it as easy from the back line but was impressive in beating a similar field last start. LADY LUCA (1) started favourite against Maczaffair last start when she disappointed but can bounce back. SHE COULD BE GOOD (3) won at her only WA start and must be considered. Tips: 10 11 1 3 Suggested Bet: RED HOT ROXY (10) to win. Race 5: SKYRACING.COM.AU WA DERBY CONSOLATION MICHAEL JOSEPH (1) ended a sequence of 10 unplaced runs with a comfortable win here on Tuesday after enjoying a nice trip. He goes up in class but has the pole draw and should give a sight. MUSTANG BART (5) hasn’t much luck against the state’s best 3YO’s and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. COURAGE TO LIVE (11) has been in great form in the country and this opposition is only slightly stronger. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (10) faced the breeze when 3rd to MICHAEL JOSEPH (1) and will get a softer run tonight. Tips: 1 5 11 10 Suggested Bet: MICHAEL JOSEPH (1) each way. Race 6: #INTHEGIG MS PACE OHOKA PUNTER (9) has won 24 of his 52 race starts, with the majority being in top company. He was one of the main fancies for the Inters before his withdrawal and should be hard to beat at his return. AMERICAN BOY (5) was simply massive in winning in 1.53.9 and looks the main danger to his stablemate. NAUGHTY MARAVU (1) is a great frontrunner drawn to advantage and should give them something to catch. CRUSADER BANNER (3) was a great 3rd at his first run back from a spell and could represent value. Tips: 9 5 1 3 Suggested Bet: OHOKA PUNTER (9) to win. Race 7: SKY RACING WA DERBY MITCH MAGUIRE (3) has won 10 of his 11 WA starts and possesses a brilliant turn of foot. He wasn’t overly impressive when leading throughout over this distance last start and needs to improve on that but can deliver. RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (6) was ultra-impressive in winning by 22m at his WA debut and is definitely up to the rise in class. IM ROCKARIA (1) is always capable of winning when the breaks go his way and has the perfect draw tonight. HERRICK ROOSEVELT (9) is up to the trio on ability but has the widest draw to overcome. Tips: 3 6 1 9 Suggested Bet: MITCH MAGUIRE (3) to win. SuperPick - No. 3 Mitch Maguire - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 8: SKY RACING HANDICAP SS PACE NEW WORLD ORDER (7) had every chance but was beaten by a smart one last week. He has a bad habit of not finding the line but is the best horse in the race. TOMMY BE GOOD (12) has won his last two stands, including a win here a fortnight ago and must be considered. BUHN LERT (1) led and finished 3rd to Assassinator in good time at Pinjarra on Monday and is a winning chance. IT AINT ROYAL (2) faced the breeze in that event and can cause an upset with a better run in transit. Tips: 7 12 1 2 Suggested Bet: NEW WORLD ORDER (7) to win. Race 9: SKY SPORTS RADIO MS PACE MISTER VERSACE (1) was held up at a crucial stage when a fast finishing 3rd last week and gets his chance to lead throughout from this alley. MILITARY MASTER (2) has had some good battles with MISTER VERSACE (2) recently and is the obvious danger from this draw. EL HOMBRE (12) is up to the favoured pair on raw ability but will have to give them a significant head start from this draw. TUAS DELIGHT (3) was a nice 4th at his first run for the Hall camp and has the addition of a hood tonight. Tips: 1 2 12 3 Suggested Bet: MISTER VERSACE (1) to win. Race 10: FOLLOW SKY RACING ON FACEBOOK WESTBRED MS PACE ALIMAN (2) has won his last two in fine style including an all the way over Abraxas Blues last start. He is likely to find the top again and is clearly the one to beat. EL SUNAMI (1) has been starting at big odds recently but draws to get a lovely run and looks a good each way chance. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (9) and SOHO WALL STREET (8) are the class runners of this field and are capable of overcoming their wide draws. Tips: 2 1 9 8 Suggested Bet: EL SUNAMI (1) each way. SuperPick - No. 10 RaceyAmerican - Money Back – Run 2nd Bet Now!
