Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 13, 2018July 13, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: THE SPORTS DAILY ON TABRADIO MS PACE ROCKIN THE BOYS (2) has been unplaced at her last five starts but gets her chance tonight. She is a good frontrunner and gets the opportunity to lead here and should give them something to catch. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (1) ran 3rd in a stronger field last start and looks a great each way chance from the pole. RESPONDER (3) has been placed at two of his last three and should enjoy a nice trip close to the speed. ADDFUELTOFIRE (10) has done his recent racing in stands but should get a nice run on the pegs and will be charging late. Tips: 2 1 3 10 Suggested Bet: ROCKIN THE BOYS (2) to win. Race 2: $7 PINTS FOR FOOTY FRIDAYS AT JP’S MS PACE WALKINSHAW (8) won his first three starts from a spell before being beaten into 2nd after facing the breeze at his last two runs. He will find this easier than when he had to chase Eden Franco at this track a fortnight ago. DODOLICIOUS (1) ran 4th in that same event and should be in the finish from the pole. TISADREAM (5) was a dominant winner three starts back before enduring torrid trips at his next two but should be thereabouts with the right run. YOUR EXCUSED (10) can sneak into the placings from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 8 1 5 10 Suggested Bet: WALKINSHAW (8) to win. Race 3: STEELO’S BISTRO AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE IDEAL TYSON (8) was an emphatic 1.52.8 winner at his first start back from a spell and has finished just behind the placegetters at his four subsequent runs. This is a significant drop in class and he can be driven aggressively over the staying distance. VAMPIRO (9) has been thereabouts at his three starts this campaign and the wide draw is offset by the drop in class. WHENMECHIEF (2) grows a leg in front and looks likely to take up the running. BAD ROUND (1) should get a perfect sit on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 8 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: IDEAL TYSON (8) to win. Race 4: CHRISTMAS IN JULY AT THE BEAU RIVAGE RESTAURANT MS PACE CHICAGO BULL (9) has won over $1.5mil and should add the first prize cheque to that tonight. He is first up from a spell but warmed up with a comfortable Byford trial win and should be too good. THE BUCKET LIST (7) is racing extremely consistently without winning and is the obvious 2nd pick here. DEVENDRA (5) only had the one run last time in and hasn’t trialled but must be respected. MAJOR CATASTROPHE (4) is as tough as old boots and can battle on into a placing. Tips: 9 7 5 4 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (9) to win. Race 5: TABTOUCH 2YO GOLDEN SLIPPER MS PACE BLETCHLEY PARK (10) has won five of his seven career starts and was ultra-impressive in running down FRANCO EDWARD (11) here last week. He has an awkward draw but will be hard to hold out with any luck in the final circuit. SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (1) faced the breeze when 4th in that event but looks the leader here and should prove hard to catch. FRANCO EDWARD (11) was far from disgraced when beaten a head last week and is a major player again. DRACARYS (3) has impressed in winning five on end but takes on the boys tonight. Tips: 10 11 1 3 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (10) each way. Race 6: BOOK YOUR NEXT CONFERENCE AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE THEREUGO (3) disappointed first up when a beaten favourite but improved at his next start when winning from the stand. He should find the front here and prove hard to catch. CHOK CHAI (9) has won 10 of his 13 career starts, including all four of his runs last campaign. He resumes here without a trial but must be respected on class alone. THE FREEDOM FIGHTER (10) has won his last three and will be thereabouts with any luck from this barrier. IM SOXY (1) doesn’t have the class of the other three but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 3 9 10 1 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (3) to win. Race 7: NEW PIZZA MENU AT JP’S SPORTSBAR MARES MS PACE MILLVIEW SIENNA (8) has faced the breeze and finished just behind the placegetters at her past two starts. The times have been solid and this looks a bit weaker so she can go forward and prove hard to beat. SUSIE ROCKS (2) has been placed at three of her last four starts and looks a major player from this draw. SEA ME SMILE (1) is perfectly drawn to be sitting on the speed and should be thereabouts. SOHO CHANGELING (10) finished 2nd here last week and should enjoy a soft run on the pegs. Tips: 8 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: MILLVIEW SIENNA (8) to win. Race 8: FOLLOW GLOUCESTER PARK ON FACEBOOK 3YO MS PACE FIZZING (10) was first up when he faced the breeze but fought on well to finish 2nd in quick time at Northam. He is awkwardly drawn but will be charging home if he is any luck in the final lap. SPEED MAN (2) was only beaten 3m when 5th in the WA Derby. He is drawn the best of the main chances and he looks hard to beat first-up. ROBB STARK (3) was a comfortable winner at his WA debut and should measure up to this class. MURPHYS BETTOR (5) is awkwardly drawn but has displayed ability. Tips: 10 2 3 5 Suggested Bet: FIZZING (10) each way. Race 9: WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU HANDICAP SS MS PACE ROCK DIAMONDS (8) has finished 5th behind Galactic Star in fast class company at his past two starts. He is the lone backmarker but is suited by the small field and should be finishing strongly. SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (2) started from 10m when a narrow 2nd to Thereugo and would be hard to catch if he could jump to the front. NEW WORLD ORDER (6) ran on strongly when 2nd to Kasey John last start and is always about the place. IM MASTER CHARLIE (7) broke through for a well-deserved victory last start and can go on with it. Tips: 8.2 6 7 Suggested Bet: ROCK DIAMONDS (8) each way. Race 10: TABTOUCH – THE BRAND THAT FUNDS THE INDUSTRY 3YO FILLIES WESTBRED MS PACE DECIPHER THIS (2) faced the breeze when a strong winner four starts back. She has finished just behind the placegetters at her past two and looks hard to beat against this moderate line up. HOW GOUDA SHE (4) is an improving type and her 2nd in 1.58.3 last start looks solid form for this assignment. DELIGHTFUL SHADOW (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and was a recent Byford trial winner. THE WAR NURSE (9) has the best record of this field but is drawn poorly. Tips: 2 4 10 9 Suggested Bet: DECIPHER THIS (2) to win. Market Market
