Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 26, 2020November 26, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 TYPHOON BANNER (1) steps up in class for this assignment but should take plenty of catching from the pole. He chased hard in a 54.1 last half when 2nd to Somebeachparty at his last start and can go one better tonight. COPY N PACE (12) was an impressive winner against a similar field last start and can overcome the backline draw. THE IDEAL TOUCH (7) has done all of the work and still been placed at his last two starts and should be right in the finish again. POWER AND GRACE (5) is a consistent type and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 12 7 5 Suggested Bet: TYPHOON BANNER (1) to win. Race 2 LEAP OF FAITH (1) is an inconsistent mare but her best is good enough to win this event. She ran a nice 5th here at her last start after starting from the backline and is suited from the pole tonight. THE KRAKEN (2) was beaten as a short-priced favourite by EUPHORIC MOMENT (6) two starts back before a nice 4th here last week and looks a major player. THE LAST PARISIAN (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. EUPHORIC MOMENT (6) defeated a similar field last start and must be considered again. Tips: 1 2 10 6 Suggested Bet: THE LAST PARISIAN (10) each way. Race 3 MISTER BUSHIDO (6) has been placed in three of his past four starts and is close to breaking through. He was a solid 2nd to Extreme Prince here last week and can go one better tonight. MARQUISARD (2) was well-driven to win at Pinjarra on Monday and is drawn to be a major player. SERGEANT OATS (5) has finished 2nd at his past two starts and should be right in the finish again. ANGEL IN WHITE (1) has been placed at her past two starts, both from this barrier, and won’t be far away again. Tips: 6 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: MISTER BUSHIDO (6) to win. Race 4 WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (6) ran on well to finish 2nd in a similar field here last week. He does need the right trip to be in the finish but will be hard to beat if he has some luck. TOUCH OF SUCCESS (2) was well-fancied when finishing at the rear last week but can improve if he can find the top without doing too much work. LIAM NEIL (4) was crossed at the start when beaten into 3rd in a similar field last week but can’t be overlooked. RABCHENKO (1) has been starting at big odds but can be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 6 2 4 1 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (6) to win. Race 5 CHICAGO BULL (11) was a dominant winner of the Fremantle Cup after doing all of the work in the run. He is looking for his 13th win from his past 14 starts and it will take a special performance to beat him. PERFECT MAJOR (1) was blocked for a run in the Fremantle Cup and gets his chance from the pole tonight. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (10) steps up to this company for the first time but has plenty of potential and should measure up. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (3) continues to race well and can be placed with the right trip. Tips: 11 1 10 3 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (11) to win. Race 6 BALCATHERINE (12) could only finish midfield in the Norms Daughter but was ultra-impressive in winning here last week and can overcome the backline draw tonight. WAINUI CREEK (9) comfortably defeated a similar field in the Norms Daughter and looks a major player despite the tougher draw here. TYPHOON TIFF (4) finished towards the rear in that event but will be extremely hard to beat tonight if she can find the top. HAS NO FEAR (1) is drawn perfectly for her sit-sprint style and can be dangerous if she gets out at the right time. Tips: 12 9 4 1 Suggested Bet: BALCATHERINE (12) to win. Race 7 AMERICAN BRAVE (4) charged home to finish 2nd here last week in slightly better company than he meets tonight. He is always a “take on trust” horse due to his tractability issues but looks the one to beat tonight. GRAN CHICO (6) chased hard when 2nd to the talented To Fast To Serious here last week and looks the main danger. VALBONNE (2) has been fair at his two runs back from a spell and is ready to improve from this draw. MARAS ACE MAN (5) was a good last start winner and can play a part despite the rise in class. Tips: 4 6 2 5 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN BRAVE (4) to win. Race 8 SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (1) has been unplaced at his last six starts but looks to get his chance tonight. He is better suited in front and should give a good sight against an average line-up. MISTER ARDEE (3) had his chance when 5th here last week but will appreciate the drop in class and must be considered. CARRERA MACH (12) is first up after a six-month break but raced against stronger company last time in and trialled nicely for his return. A BOY NAMED ROSIE (2) always needs luck in his races but is drawn to get a nice run here. Tips: 1 3 12 2 Suggested Bet: SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (1) to win. Race 9 ELOQUENT MACH (1) has been unplaced at his past nine starts but has been drawing awkwardly in stronger fields. He gets his chance to lead tonight and can bounce back into the winners’ circle. JUSTASEC (2) hasn’t drawn inside barrier seven for quite some time and has the turn of foot to be dangerous here. CHIAROSCURO (8) is the proven fast-class performer in this field but is drawn poorly tonight. ROCK ME OVER (3) may end up on the leaders’ back and can be placed from that position. Tips: 1 2 8 3 Suggested Bet: ELOQUENT MACH (1) to win. Race 10 AMERICAN ARMA (5) has made a big impression in winning three of her four career starts. She looks to have the measure of her rivals here and looks the winner. OUR SHOOTING STAR (3) ran a nice 2nd to AMERICAN ARMA (5) at her last start and looks a great place chance again. GOODALEHMADDIE (4) has been placed in both of her Australian starts and trialled nicely recently at Pinjarra. JOELENE (8) has shown plenty of ability but her manners have been costly. Tips: 5 4 8 3 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN ARMA (5) to win. Race 11 PRINCESS MILA (4) has been costly for punters of late but she has the turn of foot to win an event of this nature. She is suited by the mobile start and should be hard to beat. ALWAYS A DREAMER (1) led throughout to defeat a similar field at Pinjarra and should give a great sight again. KING OF THE ROSES (5) did things wrong in that Pinjarra event but will be thereabouts if he does thing right tonight. MR SUNDON (6) has performed below expectations at his last few starts but has been freshened up and has the ability to figure. Tips: 4 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS A DREAMER (1) each way.
