Race 1

ALTA RHETT (1) had been racing without luck before finishing strongly to defeat Galante in an easier field at his last start. The rise in class is offset by his perfect draw and he looks the one to beat. DIAMOND LIFE (10) ran on well when 2nd to Has No Fear here two starts back and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. ART TUTOR (12) has been placed in four of his last six starts and is capable of working in his races. STARLIGHT BRIGADE (3) has led at his last two starts for a win and narrow 2nd but isn’t as likely to find the top tonight.

Suggested Bet: ALTA RHETT (1) to win.

Race 2

JIMMY MACK (1) led when beaten into 3rd behind Bletchley Park three starts back. That is good form for a race of this nature and he is clearly the one to beat. BAYLAN JETT (2) has been racing consistently in stronger company and looks the main danger from his nice barrier. CARRAMAR PHILEMON (10) is drawn to get a lovely run behind the favourite and can be placed. QTOWN RIP ROARING (5) needs luck in his races but can be in the money with the right trip.

Race 3

BETTORSTARTDREAMING (2) resumed from a spell with an impressive all-the-way victory at this track. He looks the leader again and should prove hard to catch. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (3) is racing consistently and has the turn of foot win a race of this nature with the right trip. UNDERCOVER MAC (12) was impressive in winning his first two starts in WA before a close-up 4th here and must be considered. CAPTAIN KIRK (8) was a solid winner here last week but is drawn poorly tonight and will need some luck in running.

Race 4

GALACTIC STAR (4) was held up for a run when 6th to Chicago Bull at his first run back from a break. This is a big drop in class and he should be winning. ROCK ME OVER (6) chased hard when 3rd to Fake News here last week and looks the main danger. GEE JAY KAY (8) is back in form but is going to have to do it tough from his wide barrier. ANIME (2) should enjoy a nice run on the pegs and can be placed if there is a solid tempo.

Tips: 4 6 8 2

Suggested Bet: GALACTIC STAR (4) to win.

Race 5

PATRONUS STAR (7) has led throughout to beat inferior company at all four starts this time in. He steps up significantly in class tonight and is drawn poorly but is a classy customer and will give a great sight. FORGOTTEN HIGHWAY (2) has been racing well in stands and looks a good chance to lead here and will be hard to run down. SANGUE REALE (5) was a comfortable all-the-way winner last start and is a proven performer in this company. MANDY JOAN (3) has won her last three on end in mares’ company and should acquit herself well against the boys from this draw.

Suggested Bet: PATRONUS STAR (7) to win.

Race 6

CONVERT DENARIO (3) chased Chicago Bull when 2nd to the little champ before sitting outside him and running a gallant 5th here last week. He looks a good chance to find the top tonight and should give a great sight in that role. BLETCHLEY PARK (10) has been placed at his past two starts behind Chicago Bull and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. HANDSANDWHEELS (9) hit the line well when 3rd here last week in the same race and is the proven performer in this field. WHILE THEY PRAY (4) is flying and will be hard to catch if he finds the top but may not be able to take up that position tonight.

Suggested Bet: CONVERT DENARIO (3) to win.

Race 7

THE BLACK CARDINAL (1) led throughout here over this distance in June and ran a nice 2nd to Lord Rosco two starts back. He has options from the pole and looks a good each way chance. MISTER BUSHIDO (4) was well backed but held up at a crucial stage when a close-up 4th here last week and will appreciate the drop in class. HENWOOD BAY (3) hasn’t been suited racing back in the field at his last two runs but must be considered on his win here three starts back. OUR PERKINS (2) has finished near the rear at his last two starts but looks a big improver from this draw.

Suggested Bet: THE BLACK CARDINAL (1) each way.

Race 8

TYPHOON TIFF (3) led throughout here two starts before running on solidly to finish a distant 3rd to Mandy Joan. She has had a month between runs but will give her rivals something to chase if she is close to her top. FAKE NEWS (6) has returned from a break in fine form and defeated While They Pray in 1.55.0 here last week and will be thereabouts. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) has performed well despite having no luck at her first two starts back from a spell and can overcome the wide draw. JUST ROCKON BYE (7) defeated OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) and the boys last start and must be considered.

Suggested Bet: TYPHOON TIFF (3) each way.

Race 9

ALTA ENGEN (5) led throughout to defeat the talented Alta Blues at his first run back from a spell before winning in 1.54.9 at Pinjarra. This field doesn’t look any stronger and he is clearly the one to beat. RED HOT LADY (1) was held up at a crucial stage when 7th here last week and will make her presence felt from the pole. ROCKIN THE TREND (2) over-raced badly last week when knocking up late but should be considered on her previous form. WEEWAH (8) has looked good in winning two of her last three starts but rises in class here.

Tips: 5 1 2 8

Suggested Bet: ALTA ENGEN (5) to win.
