The Scout: Teixeira vs Prochazka Posted on June 10, 2022June 12, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Glover Teixeira v Jiri Prochazka The main event at UFC 275 in Singapore features the light heavyweight title fight between the defending champion Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka. Teixeira has one of the most fabled careers in the sport being the oldest champion in UFC history at the ripe-old age of 42. The Brazilian has incredibly become better in his latter years, rattling off six straight wins with five of them being finishes, including the historic submission victory over Jan Blachowicz. The challenger, Prochazka, is a different breed of fighter with his own unique aggressive style. The Czech national is a relentless striking machine and has won 12 fights in a row, with 11 of them coming via TKO or KO. Prochazka is always looking to finish and rarely takes a backwards step. Prochazka will have a substantial four-inch reach advantage which will work perfectly for his game plan of continuously pressing and attacking Teixeira. The champion will look to neutralise the power of Prochazka with his best chance of victory being to grapple and utilise his word class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The challenger is a dynamic, explosive striker with the ability to throw from every angle making him extremely hard to defend. Teixeria is tough but can he keep up with the younger more athletic opponent for 25 minutes? I think not. Suggested Bet: Prochazka by KO, TKO or DQ @ $1.80* *Odds correct as at 6pm, 10th June 2022.
