The Scout: NFL Week 9 Posted on November 4, 2021November 5, 2021 | Posted by The Scout New England Patriots @ Carolina Panthers The New England Patriots (4-4) will play their second match on the road in a row as they travel to the Carolina Panthers (4-4) who ended a four-game losing streak with a 19-13 win last week against the Falcons. Riding a two-game win streak, the Patriots are starting to find their feet and have finally found some rhythm in their offense. Additionally, a weakening in schedule sees New England face some favourable matchups. This is likely to be a defensive battle as the Patriots and Carolina are both fantastic at suffocating their opponent’s offensive advances. The Patriots are looking quite menacing as they have picked up 10 interceptions this season just 1 fewer than the league leading Bills. Carolina’s starting quarterback Sam Darnold is a strong chance to miss which will create a lot of problems offensively. The Patriots defense, orchestrated by Bill Belichick will completely overwhelm the Panthers and will be the difference maker in this match. Suggested Bet: Patriots -4 (Line) @ $1.91* Green Bay Packers @ Kansas City Chiefs The Green Bay Packers (7-1) have won seven straight games and managed to knock off the NFL’s last unbeaten team in Week 8. They now travel to the defending AFC champions the Kansas City Chiefs (4-4) who have been extremely underwhelming this season. This match would have been a blockbuster affair but unfortunately the Packers will be laying without Aaron Rodgers who will miss due to COVID-19 protocols. This opens the door for Jordan Love to make his first NFL start and will most certainly try and rely on the run game of Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon. Despite throwing a league high 10 interceptions, Patrick Mahomes will still play his game and be full of confidence. Surrounded by a high-powered offense with plenty of targets Mahomes will be looking to make a statement at home against the Packers. Jordan Love has a monumental task ahead of him as he will attempt to out duel Patrick Mahomes. The supporting cast around Mahomes which includes Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce will be too powerful for the Packers to slow down. Green Bay will be exposed without Aaron Rodgers and will hope he returns as soon as possible. Suggested Bet: Chiefs -7.5 (Line) @ $1.91* Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers The Arizona Cardinals (7-1) will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Packers while the San Franciso 49ers are in search of their first win on home turf. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray sprained his ankle in the loss to Green Bay and although is expected to play he may be hampered slightly. Unfortunately for the 49ers this will not make a difference as the Cardinals offensive power is overwhelming. In fact, when you compare Arizona and San Francisco side by side, the Cardinals are simply superior in almost every single aspect. Arizona rank in the top five teams in the league for points scored and points allowed and present a well-rounded squad. On the road the Cardinals offense is extremely potent as they have scored 38, 31, 37, and 37 points away from home and will continue this against a 49ers team that struggles to force their opponents to commit turnovers. The status of Kyler Murray will certainly impact the Cardinals performance but regardless of how limited he is there is no question they are the better team. The value presented on the Cardinals is too good to pass up as they are one of the best teams in the entire league and should dispose of the 49ers comfortably. Suggested Bet: Cardinals (Win) @ $2.04* *Odds correct as at 10am, 4th November 2021. Market Market
