The Scout: EPL Week 7 Posted on October 30, 2020October 30, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Liverpool vs West Ham Liverpool bounced back to form with a gritty 2-1 win over Sheffield United. They’re sitting 2nd on the table, but still haven’t found their levels of last season. West Ham (12th) are undefeated in four matches and boast back-to-back draws with Manchester City and Tottenham. Liverpool have had no problem scoring this season, with their 15 goals trailing only Tottenham’s 16. Mo Salah is leading the way with six while Diogo Jota has been a handy addition to their attack. The concern for Liverpool has been their defense, which has already conceded 14 goals, equal-most in the league! The absence of their defensive general Virgil Van Dijk (torn ACL) has been huge, with the Reds keeping just one clean sheet for the season. Liverpool simply do not lose at Anfield, and while I see them winning, I think they concede along the way. Suggested Bet: Liverpool & Both Teams to Score @ $2.40* Aston Villa vs Southampton Aston Villa’s winning streak came to a halt at the hand of Leeds last weekend, going down 3-0, but they still find themselves 3rd on the table. Southampton (7th) are one of the form teams in the competition with three wins and a draw from their last four games. Aston Villa look here to stay in the Premier League. The additions of Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins has been a huge catalyst for their strong start to the season, and the reason they’ve been so fluid in attack. Watkins came to the club for a record transfer fee of £28 million, and showed his worth with an incredible hattrick against Liverpool. I expect him to be heavily involved again here. Suggested Bet: Ollie Watkins Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.35* Tottenham vs Brighton Tottenham (5th) haven’t lost a match in their last five outings while Brighton (16th) haven’t won in their last four. Jose Mourinho has defied many a critic with his Tottenham squad firing on the offensive end. They lead the league in goals scored (16) with Son Heung-Min’s eight the most of any player. The duo of Son and Harry Kane are in a rich vein of form and involved everything offensively (both goals and assists). Son in particular has been tearing defenses apart with his pace. He is so fast and is getting behind opposition defensive lines with ease. Brighton have already conceded 12 goals this season, keeping just one clean sheet. They don’t look equipped to handle the firepower of Tottenham who could well blast them off the park. Suggested Bet: Tottenham Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.30* *Odds correct as at 10am, 30th October 2020. Market Market
