The Scout: EPL Matchday 30 Posted on June 19, 2020June 22, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Norwich City vs Southampton The return of the Premier League means that relegation is not far away for last placed Norwich City who look certain to drop down to the Championship. Southampton (14th) were on a poor run before the break, losing four out their last five matches. The Saints will welcome a fresh start and although they are clear from relegation danger, they will be looking to finish the season off strongly. This fixture should feature plenty of end to end action with matches at Carrow Road rarely failing to deliver excitement and goals. Through 90 minutes of play at Norwich’s home ground, there has been an average of 3.5 goals scored with both teams scoring in 10 of 14 fixtures this season. With an efficient counter-attacking brand of football, Southampton should have ample opportunity to to score here. Their style has served them well on the road, coming away with four wins in their last six away fixtures in the Premier League. Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.05* West Ham vs Wolverhampton With just one win from their last nine Premier League matches, West Ham (16th) are one of three teams sitting on 27 points, clear of the relegation zone through goal differential alone. For 6th placed Wolves, Champions League qualification remains a lofty target and would cap off a fantastic season for them. Playing at home has been no advantage for West Ham who have won just once in their last nine fixtures at London Stadium. Wolves are just two points behind 5th placed Manchester United and will be hoping to continue the run of visitor success here. Wolves are undefeated in their last three Premier League fixtures away from home, and if pre-COVID form is anything to go by, should be getting the job done in what looks the best bet of the return weekend. Suggested Bet: Match Result Wolverhampton @ $2.10* Everton vs Liverpool Everton find themselves in 12th spot on the table. A tricky spot given they have little chance of moving out of the mid-table logjam. Liverpool sit atop the Premier League table, a massive 25 points ahead of second placed Manchester City. It’s not if Liverpool lift the Premier League trophy, it’s when. Although Everton would love to delay Liverpool’s title clinch and win the Merseyside derby, it looks extremely unlikely. Liverpool have tasted defeat once in 29 Premier League fixtures. The previous Merseyside Derby saw Liverpool trash Everton 5-2. Liverpool are undefeated in 19 fixtures against Everton and I think they’ll be far too goo again here. Suggested Bet: Liverpool -1.5 (Handicap) @ $2.60* *Odds correct as at 10am, 19th June 2020.
