The Scout: EPL Matchday 23

Watford vs Tottenham

Watford are undefeated in six games (including three straight wins) and have remarkably moved to 17th spot on the table – one point out of the relegation zone.

Tottenham have hit a wall and the momentum that came with signing Jose Mourhino has now gone. They’ve lost two matches in a row and find themselves 8th on the table.

Watford are rolling, but the battle to avoid relegation has only just begun. The timing looks ideal with the Spurs clearly vulnerable, particularly their defense which has conceded at least once in their last six games.

Troy Deeney is in season best form with four goals in Watford’s last five Premier League games. Watford need to keep their foot on the throttle and Deeney looks the most likely to trouble an increasingly fragile Spurs’ defense.

Suggested Bet: Anytime Goalscorer Troy Deeney @ $2.70*

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Arsenal were unlucky not to beat Crystal Palace last weekend. They’ve fallen to 10th with just one win from their last five games.

Sheffield United returned to the winners list away to West Ham, and remain the surprise team of the season up in 6th spot.

Low scoring, defense first matches have been the norm for Sheffield. It’s a strategy they’ve executed well all season, and will be helped by the absence of Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Blades have only lost two games on the road all season; to Liverpool and Manchester City. They’re incredibly hard to beat, and harder to score against, conceding just 21 goals for the season.

Aubameyang is a massive out for Arsenal. He’s scored 14 of their 29 goals for the season and there isn’t a like for like replacement on the roster.

Suggested Bet: Match Result Draw @ $3.50*

West Ham vs Everton

West Ham have been one of the biggest disappointments of the season. Down in 16th place on the table they’re coming off a 1-0 loss to Sheffield United and have taken just three points from their last four games.

New manager Carlo Ancelotti has breathed new life into Everton’s season with the Toffees tasting defeat just once in their last seven games.

Richarlison has thrived under Ancelotti, while the defense has also been strong. French left-back Lucas Digne was fantastic last weekend against Brighton, assisting the only goal scored in the match. He is making more aggressive runs under the new manager and is having immediate impact on both ends of the pitch.

West Ham have are conceding 1.9 goals per game at home and if they repeat this here, I think it will be an Everton win.

Suggested Bet: Match Result Everton @ $2.35*
