Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 2, 2021March 2, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DIAMOND BLUE returns first-up no trial down the 1000m straight and is drawn ideally in gate 8. Has gate speed (won a 400m trial in blistering time), drawn to get himself to the outside fence and all three runs in his initial preparation were all super. Strange that Mitchell Pateman elects to ride the stablemate but maybe the Mrs simply put her foot down? ANOTHER FISH only comes from a 400m jump out but it was hard to not be impressive with what the filly produced really running through the line. STORY BOOK won both her trials and looks to have ability. BIN SHALAA was bitterly disappointing on debut. Inside gate hurts but trials were strong. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 9 – 6 Suggested Bet – DIAMOND BLUE WIN RACE 2 FISH HOOK, SHOCK RESULT and COMMAND FORCE all clashed in the race won by Triple Missile. That looks the obvious and strongest form reference. Hard to line them up with weight swings and barrier draws but going to be forgiving of FISH HOOK and bank on her early speed to get across from the awkward inside draw and make her way across with Shock Result toward the outside fence. SHOCK RESULT went close against the older horses last time out and proved himself a straight track horse. COMMAND FORCE should improve sharply with race experience. OZZY BOY an improver. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – FISH HOOK WIN RACE 3 AMERICAN GRIN will need a 10/10 steer from a very tough gate but his first-up effort was too good to ignore. Got out the back and finished powerfully. Laid in which may well have cost him the race. Lugging bit goes on in an attempt to keep him straight and he looks the one to hold out. ELAFELLA should roll straight to the top and control the race. Disappointing last start but he did go quick in the middle stages and Flash Ducati ran out of his skin in the Lex Piper. SPECIAL PICTURE hasn’t been seen for 6 weeks but had been going well for new trainer Ray Vincent. STORM THEIF comes up in trip and is drawn ideally. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – AMERICAN GRIN WIN RACE 4 WARCIDIUM got held up at crucial stages last start and then flashed up the inside once the race was all over. Fair few come from that form race behind Lincoln’s Law and while he concedes his rivals weight the senior rider going on should be a massive bonus for him Looks ready to break through. SURVEILLANCE backs up off 7 days, may well be kicked out in an attempt to find the top and is at the cross roads in his career. What’s next if he gets rolled? FLYING AVA finished third in a race behind Off Wego where Surveillance ran second. Not much between them. RIPON FALLS a mad one for novelty inclusion. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – WARCIDIUM WIN RACE 5 MISS MARIETTA has come back bigger and better than last preparation. First-up run over 1300m in the Pearl Classic was enormous when savaging the line from an impossible position. Backed it up with an eye catching second in a 60+ behind What About Moses. Returns to her home track, drawn perfectly and in a small field should be too powerful for them late. FRIAR’S FANTASIA ran well last start behind Chiclett and Born to Try. Form has held up nicely. LYLE’S CHOICE resumes at a mile which is a task but his form last preparation was strong. CHAMPAGNE GAL ran well last start but the draw hurts. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – MISS MARIETTA WIN RACE 6 THE ROAN RANGER drops back into C1 company for the first time since he broke his maiden. Since then has raced outside the handicap when third in a 66+, finished off well in a fast run C3 behind Axel R Eight and Night Session and now finds himself back into C1 company. Gets his chance. UNRELIABLE similarly drops back into C1 company after contesting exclusively harder racing this preparation. Last two runs has been beaten more than 4L but in races run more than 8L faster than average. Keep safe and watch for big money. ROYAL CHOISIR is capable of running a race from a soft draw. REVEUSE is Reveuse. Doesn’t run bad races but doesn’t win either. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – THE ROAN RANGER WIN RACE 7 BILLY AIN’T SILLY has only had three runs in his life and they produced a narrow third placing on debut behind Saturday winners All Day Session and Born to Rule, a dominant victory over Empire Reign (who went on to win at his next start) and then was run down finishing midfield behind talented filly Queen Brown. Recent trials were sharp and Jerry Noske can navigate the awkward gate he looks the one to beat. KITGUM has raced in higher grade ever since winning a C1 12 months ago. Well placed here. CLASSIC MAGNUS has trialled well without shades and resumes from a good gate with WA’s inform hoop. LIL RED BIKINI will need luck from the draw. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – BILLY AIN’T SILLY WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,9 5 3,4 1,2,3,4,7,8 Market Market
