Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on May 19, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DUNBAR couldn’t be held any slower in his Belmont trial when climbing over the heels of the leader and pulling Pike to the outside. He let down like a serious animal and he is the first of the Vancouver progeny to hit the turf in WA. Looks like being a winning start. Will be plenty willing to take ~$1.60 when markets open. DAD’S BIGHEADED has the race experience and has put in two very good performances. If it wasn’t for a regally bred Bob Peters debutante he would be the obvious winner. THE SPRUIKER looked to have natural ability at trials and should enjoy a soft run from the gate. KALAROO came from the same race as Dad’s Bigheaded last start and hit the line nicely. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – DUNBAR WIN RACE 2 DOOWAHDIDDY ran seventh of seven on debut and was beaten over 16L but was thrown in the deep end against winning 3 year olds first-up at 1400m on a Soft7. Plenty of reasons to forgive and forget that she went round and back on top of the ground with a senior rider on drawn to box seat she gets another go. BLACK LIGHTNING was given every mortal hope by Pike first-up when leading in a tempo 8L slower than average first 600. Should again control the tempo but will be awfully short. CITY INVASION showed a level of ability in his Bunbury trial win but a big query on those he beat. BONROCA next best but off a very poor trial. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – DOOWAHDIDDY EACHWAY RACE 3 ALBY’S PRIDE has improved sharply since getting out to a staying trip and Laqdar Ramoly is riding him well. All of the Mauritian apprentices seem to ride well at the staying trips and with an ounce of luck this looks a very winnable race for him. RIDING HOOD FAME did a lot of work in the same race last start and draws to box seat here from gate 1. Shouldn’t do a tap in running. NIGHT SESSION backs up off 6 days and steps out to a staying trip. Consistent form and brings the alternate form reference. FREQUENT FRIAR looks like he will stay all day but will have to win from last of the 12 runners. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – ALBY’S PRIDE EACHWAY RACE 4 KINDER KINDER was brilliant on debut and if she reproduces that run, she should be very hard to hold out late in this field. Trutiara and Kinder Kinder broke right away from the rest of the field and the race was run 2L faster than maiden average. That is normally a good indication that the form will hold up and from the gate she should be within striking distance. KING CABERNET has blinkers added for the first time, draws a midfield gate and Neville Parnham’s yard are currently unstoppable. RUN D’AFFAIR RUN looks like he will enjoy the run of the race and has been consistent all campaign. SWIFT GONDO is no star but will roll forward to sit over the speed. Numbers: 11 – 4 – 3 – 15 Suggested Bet – KINDER KINDER WIN RACE 5 FAIREDU is the beneficiary of the 3kg claim for stable apprentice Victoria Corver. From the gate she should be just off Ginger Flyer in the run and this looks like a race which will be dominated from the front. Should go close. GINGER FLYER ran a far better race last start in 3 year old grade when running second to Baby Blues and beating home Tradensia. Strong form for a race like this. YEAH BRAVO has done nothing wrong since joining Jody McLaughlin and from the gate he will again be right over the speed. FINGERMARK has returned to racing well but will need some luck from a tough draw. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – FAIREDU WIN RACE 6 FIRESALE has really put the writing on the wall his last few starts. Ran a fast finishing fourth behind the smart Power of St George before being backed as if unbeatable in a C1 at Pinjarra when bolting in by 3.5L eased down. Had no luck in a Saturday graduation last start and can position up from the gate. Hard to hold out late. TRADENSIA was a little flat last start and couldn’t accelerate when the sprint went on. She’s a nice filly and worth forgiving. BOMBARDMENT comes back in grade and back in trip. From the gate he will enjoy a soft run. COSTA DEL SANTO was huge last start. If he can show that same turn of foot here he’s a live chance. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – FIRESALE WIN RACE 7 WESTERNIZE has been a model of consistency since breaking his maiden first-up on Esperance Cup day. Last time he backed up he ran second to Son of a God and last Thursday ran into another top notch Simon Miller three year old in Levitate when tramping wide a large portion of the race. MICHELLE MA BELLE comes back to a more suitable 1200m and if finding the front should prove hard to run down. BALLADEER won well at his WA debut and looks like making the grade. SWEET RULER was impressive on debut and should enjoy a sweet trip. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – WESTERNIZE EACHWAY RACE 8 TRAKIATO ran a big race first-up from a horror gate when tramping three and four deep in a hot 66+ behind Black Ducati, Lipstick Flickers, Solid Azza, Gates of Babylon, Daishio, Megazone and Moschard before being held up the entire length of the straight second-up. Draws a gate and should box seat behind a solid tempo. Gets his chance. WILD FRONT was huge last start when sitting off the track throughout after being slightly slow into stride. Even sitting outside Next Stop The Moon he can win. SHERPA LASS is back at the races 46 days since suffering defeat for the first time in her career. Carries 60kg and will be likely three deep making her vulnerable. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND can be hard to catch but, on her day, has easily enough ability to cause the upset. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRAKIATO WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,6,7 2,3,5,6 2,3,5,6,9 1,4,5,6,10 Market Market
