Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on October 8, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SENTIMENTAL GIFT will be all the rage. Stepping up sharply in trip she has always looked a stayer and should account for a moderate field. QUEEN KARNILLA continues to draw badly and do it tough but looks like she can stay. UNDER THE ARCHES has had his fair share of chances but was brave last start when the saddle slipped a long way from home. APACHE RABBIT can lead and give cheek. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – SENTIMENTAL GIFT WIN Race 2 ARTIE’S JEWELS was eased out of the race at his most recent after packing was dislodged from the saddle and he was obviously subsequently disqualified. His previous effort was a good third to subsequent winners Master Pearl and Champagne Gal. Can give cheek in this. AMILLIONITE is not in Adam Durrant’s A grade team but this is a weak C1 and she should bounce straight to the top. PORPHYRIO was flying last time out late. FLYING TARGET always a chance when drawing inside the first 4 gates. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – ARTIE’S JEWELS EACHWAY Race 3 OLD MICK has been saved for his local debut and has trialed up well. If he can hold leader’s back then he can give an eachway sight on debut. Stopped in his tracks at a Belmont trial and picked up nicely. TRAMIKA leads from the inside draw and Simon Miller juveniles always take catching from there. SPECIAL CHOICE will be all the rage and deservedly so. She will however need to be good from a long way back on a brand new hard and fast Bunbury surface. CASA ROSADA has shown above average ability at trials but draws poorly. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – OLD MICK EACHWAY Race 4 BOOMTASTIC has been freshened up since a last start second at Belmont Park when beaten by Windstorm. That race has been one of the best 3 year old form references of the season with that race containing winners Is a Bombshell, Kay Cee and Eurotrip. She should salute here. SCANDALOUS MISS is speedy and set the turf alight early fresh before hitting a brick wall turning for home. RED WARRIOR has trialed up well over the 450. ANGELIQUE’S FAME was scratched recently and saved for Bunbury. Looks to have a motor. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – BOOMTASTIC WIN Race 5 GUESS SO was strong enough on debut to run a race here at a price. Is obviously green and raw but looks to have ability and even though beaten 5L on debut expecting the Bee Quick, Zip Zam Zoom and Validation form to hold up. Should improve with race experience. MOAMA ROSE will have plenty of supporters and rightfully so. Has been contesting stronger races than this. COSTA DEL SANTO has a turn of foot but draws awkwardly. CHEEKY DIVA ran an improved race last start. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – GUESS SO EACHWAY Race 6 BLACK DUCATI was all the rage last time out when sitting in the breeze in a race almost 4 lengths above benchmark. That race has already produced two subsequent winners and expecting her to be well commissioned from opening quote yet again. STRONG HEART was stretched out over a trip last preparation. All figures recorded put him in the mix. SPEEDY MISS is a nice little mare on the rise. Can continue onto Saturday grade. GRAND DESIGN was given every mortal chance by Harvey last time out when unable to reel in the leader. Gets it soft again. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – BLACK DUCATI WIN Race 7 MAROCCHINO was absolutely eye catching on debut and then duly saluted second up for his loyal replaying watching followers and then ran into the smart pair Montelena and Kelvin. Sharpened up for a return with a 450m jump out he can give this a shake. VERDANDI was big on debut coming from last. Recent trial was as quiet as they come. BOGART is one from one undefeated and returns with the blinkers on. MINIKA has been a shade disappointing this preparation. Shades on, expecting her to be ridden aggressively. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – MAROCCHINO EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 7 1,3,4,5,8 5,7,8,9 4,8,9,12 Market Market
