Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on February 25, 2020February 26, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 CHAMPAGNE DIVA was strongly supported at a price last start when the blinkers went on and she ran a really good race in Saturday 2 year old grade. On that occasion she ran fourth behind Sunnysilk. Janaura and Guarded. Again draws the inside and should find the front. SMASHING was an extremely impressive trailer at Belmont Park with the blinkers on. Neville Parnham’s juveniles are going very well and this looks another nice one. RECITING hit the line well in her trial from off the speed. AGENT KENSINGTON an improver. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHAMPAGNE DIVA WIN Race 2 DREAMTIME DIVA went close first-up when sitting leader’s back behind Comfort Me and being crowded in the last furlong and going down a nose. The horse who ran third Eeyore Wayz broke his maiden on Saturday beating talented opponent Oristano. She should position up from the gate and likely goes round a big price. PARIS REPORT has put together two wins in a line and again draws to get every chance. CHATTER SESION comes out of a far stronger race than any of her opponents and can improve. TALLADEGA only won a Narrogin maiden but did it in serious style. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – DREAMTIME DIVA EACHWAY Race 3 THE NICCONIAN was beaten 2L in a 72+ three starts back behind Speeding Comet and Plutocracy. Beaten a nose two starts ago in a 66+ behind Lipstick Flickers and last start was attacked a long way out in a race where Free Trade ran third. Back sharply in grade and after the 3kg allowance of Ramoly is very well placed. FAIRVIEW broke through last start and her two runs for Paul Harvey have both been rippers. TYCOON LEGEND won a similar race to this four starts back. GUESTEEN is a talented filly taking on older horses. The draw makes it tough for her. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – THE NICCONIAN WIN Race 4 MORGS FREEMAN will need some luck or a peach of a ride from Paul Harvey but it’s hard to argue with his form. Last start in a 60+ was only run down by Celebrity Queen in a high rating race and drops back into C3 company. Paul Harvey riding particularly well, we’ll back him in to get some cover. REWRITE THE STARS arguably should have beaten Fairview first-up when finding traffic at a crucial stage. SOLID AZZA has the world of ability and if the track is suiting back markers then she’ll be awfully hard to hold out late. TRULY GREAT has been away from the race track for over a year. Trialed well but obvious query. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – MORGS FREEMAN EACHWAY Race 5 TIME TO SIZZLE ran one of the fastest 1000m races of the season when breaking her maiden status (57.59). She then went to Bunbury and went round at $1.24 when bombing the start and never looking comfortable. Trialed well and draws a gate to get every chance. SNIPPY MISS is finding it hard to win but ultra-consistent. MISS MANDY never ran a bad race when last in work and will go round a big price. BABY BLUES returns and wasn’t knocked around in a recent trial. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – TIME TO SIZZLE WIN Race 6 ZIEBELL is a wonderful pick-up ride for returning apprentice Kate Southam. Ziebell is one of the quickest gallopers in WA out of the gates and she looks likely to simply let him run. Only gunned down late by Forest War, Guesteen and Indian Pacific in a Saturday 1000 and looks better suited in an 1100. WIENER WALTZ can sit leaders back from gate 1 and looks the logical danger. ENSIGN PULVER will be almost triple figures but not impossible. SEMIGEL going better. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – ZIEBELL WIN Race 7 ZACKARIAH BEAU has been running ripping races all preparation and Joey Azzopardi on really does catch the eye. Second behind Altani, third behind Kakadu and Fuhrer and last start was held up a large portion of the straight in a 60+ graduation behind Sophie’s Song, Special Choice and Playing Marika. Draws a gate, senior on and almost double figures. KING BLITZ is not an easy ride and again every chance of being stranded three deep no cover but history says that’s not a bad spot for him. YULONG EARTH does so much wrong but Pike on makes him a big winning chance. CELTIC COURT is dropping in grade and distance. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – ZACKARIAH BEAU EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,4,6 7 1,2,4 1,3,5 Market Market
