Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on October 29, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 NGAWI is only a C1 mare taking on far more exposed and tested rivals however the 1000m first up looks to suit her and she should stalk up behind a hot tempo. Jade McNaught is riding incredibly well and she should prove hard to hold out. EXCISE FREE is obviously the one to beat after returning to the winner’s enclosure last start. Harry Grace looks like he can ride and she is well placed and weighted after his claim. MISSING PRO was a shade disappointing fresh. STRILING ESTATE was handy after bombing the start. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – NGAWI WIN Race 2 JAGUAR GREY put the writing on the wall on debut when getting within a nose of a filly who was flying at the time. Her trial was eye catching and she struck an unsuitable race first-up. She ran well all things considered and on a day which should be swoopers paradise gets her chance. CHATTER SESESION is one of the best Lark Hill trials of recent times. If the track beats her get aboard next time out. SHADOW SHIFTER is ultra consistent. VALKYRIE’S CHANT finished off well in a recent trial. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – JAGUAR GREY WIN Race 3 MR FAHRENHEIT caught the eye on debut when making solid ground late in a unsuitable race. Shades went on and the money came for him at his second career outing. He was massive in defeat and now gets to a race at Ascot with the rail at 14m and a strong Westerly. He should wind up three deep from the 600 and get over them. ARAGAIN is the logical danger. This is the most winnable race she has been in so far in her short career. PAMBELLA is drawn awkwardly and may roll forward into the breeze. MARXIAN trialed nicely for a 1500. Numbers: 7 – 12 – 13 – 11 Suggested Bet – MR FAHRENHEIT WIN Race 4 BLOCK OF LAND is an intriguing runner on debut for the Gangemi yard. His trial was a little hard to read. He travelled like a gun in the run from the 800 – 400 and then was really revved up to make a run at them. Ran around, very green but looked to have a motor. Strikes a very moderate C1 and can win. SEMIGEL is the logical favourite and obviously hard to beat. Strongest form in the race by lengths. TRADE PRIZE trialed well enough to put in a run. ARTIC BLUE is consistent. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – BLOCK OF LAND WIN Race 5 PRECIOUS LIBERTY has a sharp turn of foot on her and she should enjoy an economical run midfield with cover from the draw. Always showed above average ability and might sneak under the radar when markets are framed. OREO backs up off 7 days from a tough on speed win. Rail at 14 vs Rail at 12 is a totally different ball game. ADVOCATOR raced in top 3 year old company before finally breaking a maiden. Draws well, trialed nicely. THE FULL QUID is racing very well. Numbers: 6 – 9 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – PRECIOUS LIBERTY EACHWAY Race 6 MONTAGNA will likely jump 20-1 plus and can win this. His trial was quiet but through the line he was charging. Races naturally off the speed and history says that will be the place to be on Wednesday. He could prove the blow out. SPEEDY MISS is racing very well and should have probably finished on the heels of the winner last time out. FRIAR’S FANTASIA runs for Mitch Pateman and drops in grade off a solid first-up performance. WESTERN KING didn’t fire a shot fresh. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – MONTAGNA EACHWAY Race 7 VINTAGE STOCK is a very, very hard mare to follow with any level of confidence. She finds traffic more often than not but this race looks a suitable assignment for her. Should position up midfield with cover and join the three deep train. WINIFER went mighty close last week in a race run 8L slower than average. Did a big job to get as close as she did. Hard to hold out. SUMMIT TRAIL should get a soft run three back the fence. Query is whether that’s the place to be. HAY MAGIC not impossible. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 8 – 13 Suggested Bet – VINTAGE STOCK EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4 3,6,9 2,5,6 3,7,8,10,13 Market Market
