Scott Embry’s Tuesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 24, 2023December 24, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DREAMERS NEVER DIE really should get punters on the board early at Pinjarra on Boxing Day. Last start he finished 1.5L off an impressive Regal Statue but he was also three deep the trip covering plenty of extra ground. His last three have all been good enough to win this and win this well. Listed 3 year old back to a C3 back to a C1. Just a matter of price point. Sadly expecting it’ll be well less <$1.80. DOUBLE DEMERITS has gone well at his last two. Just hasn’t won a race for 915 days which is an obvious concern. BARTIME is lengths better than what he produced first-up when simply run off his legs. MAGNUM CLASS next best. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – DREAMERS NEVER DIE WIN RACE 2 LORD SHIVA went around an easing $3 favourite on debut because of the one way market support for Oscar’s Fortune. Loomed the winner on straightening but blew out late and was immeditaley tipped out for a spell. Recent trial win was by 4L and considering that Oscar’s Fortune is now Group One placed he’s going to be very popular in betting. TAWKIN’ JIBBERISH is two from two at the 400m jump outs. Drawn barrier 1 meaning that she can kick through and hold the rail. SHASFA has won her last two Lark Hill trials impressively. RANSOM’S GIRL improved at her most recent trial. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – LORD SHIVA WIN RACE 3 AIRTIGHT went around 150-1 on debut down the straight on a Soft 7 and rattled home into second. Recent Lark Hill trial suggested that she won’t be 150-1 again! Big unknown whether she can reproduce that debut run and how she’ll go on a Good4 but willing to roll the dice. DE ZANE GREY ended up a lot further back than expected at his first start down the 1000m straight. If he can come out positive and look for the outside rail he could be a sharp improver. HOTLIPS LIL went really well last start at big odds. SECRET ATTIRE has always promised to win one and now finds another new home. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – AIRTIGHT WIN RACE 4 ROCK THIS TOWN returns to Pinjarra Park and should be able to cross to the outside fence. Can not understate just how good that outside rail can be, especially with a high speed cruising horse like Rock This Town. Goes quick and gets rivals uncomfortable from a fair way out. Like this set up for him. OLY’S CHOICE now joins Dan & Ben Pearce. His best is easily good enough to win a race like this. He’s proven at 72+ level so this is a nice starting point for his new stable. KEEP ATTACKING is two from two undefeated first-up. He has always been popular in betting and hopefully this is the preparation that he can break through and start to put a couple together. NOBELLITY should be a nice jump and run straight horse. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – ROCK THIS TOWN WIN RACE 5 CLEVER COMBAT makes his debut aftera series of trails across multiple preparations. Thought the most recent two in November and December were the best of them and looked to trial behind a few handy types including Extreme Love. Holds a spot and this race has been decimated by early scratchings. Weak race – good opportunity. PRIZED JEWEL now has a rider named in Holly Watson and the debut performance was great from a filly who will get out over ground. BOAB BOY is a bit of an enigma but there’s some ability there. SOLDIERS CAMP covered ground at Albany. Numbers: 10 – 15 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – CLEVER COMBAT WIN RACE 6 MADAME MAGIC has raced in almost exclusively higher grade throughout her career. Didn’t seem to handle or appreciate the wet tracks when last in work. Recent trial was fair and after the Luke Campbell claim she looks fairly well in at the weights. Team Pearce going really well at the minute. NO PEER is another who is ‘better’ than C1 company. She’s been unable to break out and win one but she’s gone close without much luck on many occasions. Logical danger. PIO KERRI just got the job done in a Country maiden at Geraldton, however, she can kick up into a position. FIREY PANZ next best. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – MADAME MAGIC WIN RACE 7 VAST ART is just not an Ascot horse. He doesn’t jump there, he doesn’t take the bend there, he’s just not the same animal as we have seen at Pinjarra and Belmont Park. This is a really good race for him on paper and if he brings his best he’s more than capable of winning at this level. LET’S GALAHVANT was scratched on Wednesday with a minor respiratory infection. If 100% then his Carbine Club win over Magnificent Andy reads up brilliantly. LAST OF THE LINE has gone around in a Group One Railway Stakes only a month ago and he’s already a winner previously with the 62kg. You couldn’t discount him – he’s a classy animal and finished third behind Marocchino (m110) and Alsephina (m106) only three starts back. MAN CRUSH is coming out of a Winterbottom Stakes. He’s a different horse when he can find the fence but is drawn in between Big Screen and Cheval De Vaga which makes things interesting. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – VAST ART WIN RACE 8 MYSTIC JANE hasn’t been the easiest mare to follow in her career but her first-up win was electric and her last start performance was eye catching. Expect the Regal Statue / Dreamers Never Die form to be franked in Race 1 and she’s showing versatility. Forgive and forget her middle two runs? SANTA BRAE is first-up at 1400m and can sprint well fresh. He’s only a maiden winner over 2000 but he’s shown enough at the shorter trips in his early 3 year old days. PRO LATTE was given the world perfect run over a moderate tempo on a leader dominated program at Belmont first-up. This is deeper. GUARDING HEAVEN is double nominated for Sunday Belmont and Tuesday Pinjarra. Don’t rule out Boy Hill running her in both! Numbers: 8 – 4 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – MYSTIC JANE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,4,10,15 1,7 1,2,3,5,6,8 4,6,8,12 Market Market
