Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 24, 2021March 24, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 OLDEN looks to have (finally) found his race. Had 7 runs this preparation with three of them out of his class including his most recent when contesting the Listed JC Roberts at 1800m. Finished 6.5L off them but those in front of him included Western Empire, Holy Enchantment, Off Wego, Em Tee Aye, Flash Ducati and Castillo Del Lago. Back into a maiden, it’s now or never. ETOMORP has done nothing wrong in two starts to date and looks the obvious testing material. TRUE MOON shows promise and looks like he’ll stay all day. FALSE EVIDENCE showed something last start. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – OLDEN WIN RACE 2 RANGA ROLL has always shown a bit at the races. Placed to Miyagi and Outback Jack at Belmont in a 1300m maiden last preparation and has chased hard so far this campaign. Drawn a gate, suited up in trip and strikes a moderate line-up where Powerful Force is likely to take up too much market %. Worth a speck. KAZOKU chased throughout behind Tumivet and Reciting last start. Handy maiden form. POWERFUL FORCE is no star and yet continues to go round short. Scratched twice since his last outing and with Pike on will be artificially short again. LUCIE MANETTE should roll to the top and give them something to chase. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – RANGA ROLL EACHWAY RACE 3 I CAN SEE CLARA is a 2 year old taking on the older horses in an all age maiden. First-up finished 4L off them but was doing his best work late and through the line once he got clear and through his gears. He’s Gold went from that race to win the Perth Stakes and the third place getter Diamond Blue ran third in that same Listed juvenile feature. Looks capable of beating his older rivals. DARCELE is a long time maiden who has always promised to win one. Recent trial was sound and the form when last in work good enough. THE FIBONACCI has shades on for the first time. Continues to tease punters and the jury is almost out. ASTRO WARRIOR pulls awfully hard. Talented but does a lot wrong. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – I CAN SEE CLARA WIN RACE 4 AT WAR gets another chance. Hard to believe the horse who ran Massimo to half a length on debut is still a maiden. Throw into his form lines a placing to River Beau, 2.5L off Platinum Bullet, 2L off Beau Zoom, 1.5L off No Surrender and Testing Love, he has to win one eventually! First-up down the straight with an in form apprentice, looks a nice set up. RAIN GOD is drawn ideally for his debut. Can hug the outside rail and looks a talented type. AL TINA similarly was impressive at trials and is drawn the ‘right’ side of the straight. YANKEE LIMA has always trialled well but is yet to really bring it to the races. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – AT WAR WIN RACE 5 SAVAGE ONE is double nominated for Wednesday Ascot and Thursday Pinjarra. Is a 1000m straight winner when Pateman found the outside fence and ran them ragged. IF they scratch Wednesday and save for this, he is the one to beat. BOSNIPP broke her maiden down the straight and has been competitive in C1 company since. DRINKWHATYOULIKE is a talented mare resuming. Has had a few stables and a few issues but her best is definitely good enough. ARTIC BLUE next best. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – SAVAGE ONE WIN RACE 6 TOMMY BLUE won a C5 at Pinjarra over 1200m with 59.5kg under William Pike back on New Year’s day. Since then has contested 60+ and 72+ races on Saturdays at Ascot and never been far from the action. Her most recent effort at 1400m was strong and she looks well placed back in grade. RUM RAKER comes from the exact same form race and they meet on level weight terms. Will need luck but is going well. HEART OF COEUR has turned back the clock for the new yard and is going particularly well. CHESTEN FLYER an improver. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – TOMMY BLUE WIN RACE 7 FIERY BAY was caught off the track throughout last start. Sat three deep the trip and kept coming before ultimately being out gunned by Temptacion (subsequent 60+ winner and second favourite for the Oaks) and Winsalot (plunged on Sunday). Looks a great race for him. BLACKWATER BAY has a tough gate to overcome and may need to drag back to near last but he is a handy type resuming. LUCKY HEART should bounce to the top and takes running down from there. SPEEDBIRD is improving quickly and gets the right run. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – FIERY BAY WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,6,11 1,2,5 2,4,6,7 1,2,4,6,9 Market Market
