Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 16, 2020December 17, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 TWENTY EIGHT ROCK has been knocking on the door and this looks another excellent opportunity to break through. Ran second behind Heaps of Moolah when looming the winner and running straight past Frequent Friar and then last time out chased hard behind Bruny Island in a fast run maiden. Gets her chance. THE ROAN RANGER will be winning one soon but continues to find one better than him. Is versatile but regardless the barrier is tough. THEHUNTSMEN comes up in trip and is looking very one paced. FREQUENT FRIAR has shown glimpses of staying ability. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – TWENTY EIGHT ROCK WIN RACE 2 ENGLISH HERITAGE ran third on debut behind Speed Dream and Spirited Session before getting well out of her ground last start when savaging the line behind Apache Patrol, Kaptain Kaos and Main Engine. Could prove a strong form reference and with the senior rider going on gets her chance. Sticky draw but looks capable. PORT BEACH was given a peach by Jade McNaught from a sticky draw last start and should enjoy the run of the race here. TOP POCKET showed ability on debut and this is probably a slightly easier assignment. DANCE SHOES hit the line alright first-up. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – ENGLISH HERITAGE EACHWAY RACE 3 PERFECT GEM had a few traffic issues last start behind Apache Patrol, Kaptain Kaos and Main Engine. Throw English Heritage into the mix and we’re going to be referencing this form line a lot at the Pinjarra meeting. Should only improve out in trip and is worth following up. FLOAT OUR BOAT promised to win a race last campaign and the recent trial suggest that a maiden win is just round the corner. CLASSY STRATUM can mix her form but the last start effort was enormous down the middle. NATURAL MOSS can play a part on debut. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – PERFECT GEM WIN RACE 4 MAIN ENGINE may have gone round at 100-1 but absolutely charged through the line once she saw daylight. If she can reproduce that effort and if the form holds up around her form Wednesday and Thursday then she’s the one to beat. SKETTA has had tongues wagging at trials and this looks a very winnable race on debut. Expecting Beaux Edwards to be positive from the wide draw. BOURBON BEAU was only nabbed on the post and Hot Mix could make that look strong form on Wednesday. MATERIAL WITNESS had no luck last start and showed ability at trials. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – MAIN ENGINE EACHWAY RACE 5 MISCHIEVIUOS DIVA was a shade disappointing to the eye first-up but when you review the race it was only 1000m and she was taking on well credentialled opposition. May have run sixth but the horses in front of her, Madam Torio, Toscana, Champagne Diva, Sassy Trader and Our Danni are all metro winners and she now drops back into a provincial maiden. Definitely worth following. Looks a talent. I SKATE returns as a 3 year old and a gelding and has had a number of trials over two campaigns before this race return. Drawn a gate, looks to have ability and carries no weight after the claim. HEELS A PLENTY was denied by the smallest of margins last Wednesday and wins one soon. PRIZE PURSUIT chased hard on debut and looks another chance in a strong and deep maiden. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – MISCHIEVIOUS DIVA WIN RACE 6 MORGS FREEMAN was the target of big backing last start in the Westspeed Platinum Series Final ($13 into $6) before he was a late scratching when lunging at the gates. Comes into this fresh at 1200m, finally draws a gate and looks to have found a suitable race back in grade. ENDURING MOMENT caught the eye when resuming in a Saturday Graduation. Well placed back into a C3 and is even eligible for a C1. AMELIA BEDLIA is a fool proof 1000m mare but looks stretched at 1200m. HE’S ALL MIGHTY has had runs littered with bad luck this prep. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – MORGS FREEMAN WIN RACE 7 MORE ACES hasn’t won a race since Lochie Taylor was pushing singles or collecting uncontested possessions in PSA Sport but this looks a brilliant race for him. Jason Brown rides him better than anyone, he draws a gate to lead or box seat in a race without a deal of pace and at this stage of his career 1300m looks about his sweet spot. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND is a winner taking on a number of non-winners. Seems to go better for the 3 and 4kg claimers than anyone else. Let her do what she wants and she’ll reward you (dangerous precedent). OVERTHOUGHT went close last start in a slowly run affair. ROCKY PATH had no luck at all but her race pattern means she is always relying on it. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – MORE ACES WIN RACE 8 INDOMINUS has returned bigger and better this preparation. Wasn’t seen at the races for over a year but trialled up nicely, resumed in a race where the rail was the worst position to be and had no luck anyway and then took on C3 opposition last start when running a big second behind progressive stayer Mexi Cola. Drops back into a C1 and with any luck from the draw should be able to get over them. SAMSUIAN has been around the mark his entire career and should enjoy a soft run from the ideal draw. JADAVI gets back but has always had a strong finishing burst on her. SCENIC JOURNEY has the ability and hopefully Pike will keep her straight. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – INDOMINUS WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4,8,9 1,4,6 1,2,3,4,6,7 1 Market Market
